I'm so bummed! I requested the garden book through B&N after it showed as in stock...just received a text that it's not really in stock. Same thing happened to me. I bought a different one on Amazon and figured I'd give that one a try.

I ordered the postcards from the same author as the OP. I have watercolor pencils and plan to use those or buy some colored pencils. I thought I had some but am not finding them where I thought they were. I figure if I don't find them I will order them as my postcards aren't due to arrive until Wednesday anyways.

I can't believe I am buying coloring supplies but recently I wanted to start coloring stamped images and this isn't that far off. I hope I enjoy it. It will be a nice distraction if I enjoy it which I think I will. It will be nice to add something to my wish list if this turns into a new hobby

I did not read the other responses, this reminds me of the line of SB paper a few years back that you could either leave B/W or color it yourself using different media. I understand WHY it is popular.

Drats, B&N didn't actually have them in. But the mgr (who is a friend) is going to hold one and let me know as soon as they get more in.

This is my final update on this important topic, LOL. I posted either here or on the other thread about pencils that I was going to check out Hobby Lobby, which opened a few towns away from me and I have never been to it yet. We've never had one around before and I've been meaning to get there. First let me say: Oh. My. God. Hobby Lobby is officially my new favorite place on earth. It's like a magical combination of Michael's, JoAnnes, and Home Goods. And this particular one is in the same strip mall as a Barnes & Noble! So I can see I will be making this drive much more frequently in the future. And I can see my bank account will take a hit based on this discovery. Second: Hobby Lobby had MANY of the Creative Haven books listed in BuckeyeSandy's post! I bought seven of them! And they had a crazy selection of different kinds of colored pencils. So I bought a set of 120 from a company called Sargent. (Right there in the store I cancelled my Amazon order since it hadn't shipped yet.) I bought a second set of pencils for my sister - when I texted her about it, she wanted in on it. And a third set for my mom, who is in an assisted living place and we figure she might like it to. I bought pencil sharpeners, something called a "kneaded eraser" which apparently I need, and blending sticks, which I probably don't need but I figured what the hell. And then of course there was all that scrapbook crap on sale that I threw into my cart in a new-to-Hobby-Lobby induced frenzy. So tonight my husband is going out to eat with his friend, and I will be sitting at my kitchen table drinking beer and coloring with my new stuff! Edite to add, I just want to thank spitfiregirl for starting me off on this, I haven't been so into a project since my dollhouse/miniature phase a few years ago, LOL.

I bought a couple of cool ones from Michaels a few years ago. The paper was nice and thick and they were really awesome. I was looking for them last year, but they didn't seem to carry them any longer.

Dover Publications has a ton of different coloring books. There is everything you might want to color from the creative haven books, to fine art, nature, etc. Here's a link to the coloring book category. There are 1001 results for coloring books. You can search by subcategory on the left sidebar. Julie

The best part of having little kids is that I had an excuse to color. Ordered a book just now.

I am buying these postcards (Secret Garden pack of 20) from Amazon. Buying three sets. One for me, one for daughter who is soon off to college, and niece who loves to color and is also soon off to college. Both the girls are going to be strongly encouraged to send them to me and family. Wouldn't that be fun to receive?

Oh wow, those are pretty. I have a hard time coloring regular coloring books....I could totally see getting wrapped up in one of those for hours. I need to track down one for my youngest daughter, she loves stuff like this too.

Me too - off to see if they're available in the UK I do too - and the pens JoP!! Someone I know got 'Secret Garden' and 'Animal Kingdom' in the UK, along with Spectrum Noir pencils and they looked amazing! She spent a fair part of Sunday afternoon using them and thoroughly enjoyed herself! With my luck though, everyone in the country will have wanted these recently and they will be sold out and it will be weeks before more stocks arrive. JoP and BarbaraUK They can be found at Waterstones, saw them on sale before Easter.

has anyone used the prismacolor brush tip markers? I got my coloring books yesterday and they are really well made and the paper is quite thick. Those of you that don't have them yet, you are in for a treat!… especially if you buy the prism pencil 132 set… !

Ha this is funny, I thought the coloring craze happened a few years ago. I actually sold my prisma pencils at a garage sale! I still have markers tho. I've been into Thaneeya Macardle's books from Michaels. You can use alcohol markers if you tear out the page. www.thaneeya.com/I did just pick up a cheap pack of water color pencils, so we'll see how that goes...
