Why not just call her Slutty Ann? Those of you who watch The Whispers know what I'm talking about. Love that show, but this is like nails on a blackboard for me every week.
Those of you who don't should still be able to appreciate the ludicrousness of the writers, lol.

I thought the same thing the first time that I heard her name. I don't even think that would make a good nickname for a child

I went to school with a girl called Bambi, I occasionally wonder if she became a stripper.

I know a middle aged woman named Bambi, and its really just odd, almost creepy in a Whatever Happened to Baby Jane sorta way. Minx is ridiculous.

Minx - you don't have to watch a TV show to question that one either. I think Lying Tramp. And they probably spell it Mynxe....

Never watched that show or heard of the name Minx, I would think it sounds better for a cat. Bambi, Candi, all wtf names.

It is a nickname. If you watched the latest episode, we found out that her real name is Millicent.

I have a neighbor named Candi, I didn't realize until now she's the age of the shoe brand by same name. It was a teen disco trend. But before that - wasn't she Barbie's good friend? The doll, not my neighbor.

I thought that Madge was Barbie's friend (way back in the day of the 1960's).
I do not understand the creative ways of spelling of names and I don't get the naming a child an either/or boy/girl name such as Jamie or Kelly.
Each to their own.

Each to their own. You're right! It never made sense to me, and I had the doll. Wasn't Madge also the name of the women in the commercial "you're soaking in it" dish soap manicure something? ? My trivia brain isn't connecting today...

Each to their own. You don't get naming a kid Kelly or Jamie just because it could go either way? Lolol this is the tops for stupid reasons to complain about names. My cousins Jamie (boy) and Jamie (girl) and I (Kelly) won't invite you to our birthday parties I guess. Eyeroll x eleventy billion PS just to blow your mind even more, DH is named Kelly It's like our moms just didn't get the memo

Must have a different meaning in the USA not really an insult in my world! I wouldn't necessarily say it is an insult to a woman, but it is definitely not something you name your child.

I am probably older than you and don't live in the USA. This is an international board. I didn't say anything that was derogatory, simply expressing my own point of view. Have a good day!

Yeah yeah, it's an international board, that had nothing to do with it. I just thought it was rude. But I guess I don't have to get all bristly, I'm sure you didn't mean it to be rude. It sounds so judgy though. And honestly, so many many names can be given to either sex...not everyone wants to name their kids Catherine or Jane or Mary.

That's not her real name but a nickname. They mentioned it last night and now I can't remember what it was. That said, the character herself I've never liked but last night when they were about to zap her I really did feel bad for her.

I don't know anything about the character, but with this as its definition, it's still not a name I would personally choose.
"minx noun \ˈmiŋ(k)s\
: a sexually attractive and playful woman who often causes trouble"
