I just found a match book from a B&B and tavern that my aunt and uncle took me 11 years ago when I was in PA for a family wedding. The name? Spread Eagle Tavern established in 1837 in Hanoverton, Ohio.
Who else has a funny or outlandish name to share?

They have a restaurant called the pink taco in the hard rock in las vegas.
There was a place that had a sign nearby me that said "Phuket Thai" - of course it's pronounced wrong but everyone says "F* it Thai"

Sanitary Restaurant in Morehead City, NC. Popular seafood restaurant. Good but over rated. Kids love their t-shirts. I'm guessing because of the odd name.

Spread Eagle Tavern established in 1837 in Hanoverton, Ohio. There is a Spread Eagle Hotel near me too. Another one that I like is a restaurant that pjaye took me to. The real name is Hanoi Hanna, but the sign says "Sex Drugs and Ricepaper Rolls". Aaaaarggh, sorry the pics are so big, it's not letting me reduce the size. I usually can when I go in through IE.

There is a restaurant in Ohio called The Tiltin' Hilton. The floor slopes like mad. And fairly close to that there's a drive through burger place called Honk 'N Holler. There's a vintage/antiques store store nearish to me in CA called Dead Peoples Things.

There is or at used to be a hair place in Chattanooga named Curl up and Dye.. I always thought that was funny We had one named that years ago! My mom and I saw a salon named this last week! That was what I was going to post. fitzy I grew up at Atlantic Beach and have gone to Sanitary for years. It used to be so much better before the original family sold it. The name came because so many fish markets smell horrible (Otis' down the street) and had nasty fish guts everywhere--so much worse before A/C was everywhere. The last time my family ate at Sanitary was in the off season when my dad, brother and I decided to get takeout one night when Clawson's in Beaufort was closed. $75!!! for 3 fried seafood plates--two shrimp and one combo of oysters, shrimp, and flounder. Sanitary forgot that it's the locals that keep them in business after the tourists leave. Captain Bill's is better, but Clawson's is our favourite because they have more variety, the best seafood bisque, and have reasonable prices. There's also a little cafe at Atlantic Beach called Amos Mosquitoes--pretty funny for an island with a thriving mosquito population and not what I want to have in mind while eating.

These are hilarious!
For some reason, I think Dead Peoples Things is my favorite so far.
When I was in England ohsomany moons ago, we stumbled upon a pub called The Slug & Lettuce. Cracked us up. Looks like it's a chain, now!
About 20 minutes from me there's a Chinese takeout place called Wok and Roll. Kinda clever, I thought.

Minichicago ..... I wondered how they came up with such an odd name for a restaurant.
My favorite is the seafood bisque at Clawsons. Amos Mosquitoes gets very good reviews. I haven't been there yet even though in the summer I go to Atlantic Beach every couple of weeks.

We had Debbie Does Donuts back in the late 80s/early 90s. It was a donut shop with topless waitresses.
