Now I'm craving it, so I'll be picking up the ingredients at the store today to have jello made with cream cheese.

I must be clueless. Can anyone say why the Beermato pic had to be spoilered when the brain and that creepy fish don't? Am I missing something?

I have no issue with jello squares. Aspic-tomato or any other kind-is a whole different story
That's right . . . BEERMATO aspic I must be disturbed because if that tastes like a tomato beer, I'd eat it along with those lemons. I like eating lemons like most people eat oranges. I love tomato beers especially with Hot V-8 juice. I'm with you on beer and tomato. I love spicy hot v-8, bloody marys, and even the beer + bloody mary or tomato juice mix. They just lose me with the jellied aspect of it all. Plain jello, fruit jelly (the kind you put on toast), or jellied cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving is really all of the jelled things I can handle. That texture is skeevy to me.

I do still like jello with fruit or a more complicated jello salad occasionally... NEVER with any vegetables, though- at least not any more, lol. Growing up in the Midwest, we used to have green jello with shaved carrots, or green jello with celery. Also green jello with diced pineapple... or strawberry jello with banana slices. My mom never deviated from those few combinations. I canNOT eat red jello with bananas any more-- the banana slices would always get way too soggy, and brown... ick! Red jello with bananas is what my mother always made for us when we were sick. I am 58 and probably haven't had it for 45 years, but I do have fond memories of that combo. Save

I'm a Cherry Fluff gal...I love that stuff... Cherry Pie filing, cool whip, crushed pineapple, sweetened condensed milk, chopped pecans mixed together and chilled for a couple of hours. It's even festive looking for the holidays...lol Those gross jello molds remind me of the scene in "Julie & Julia" where she has to make as aspic.....double gross! HOLY COW! This sounds delicious! I will be trying this!

Looks like we lost the OP.
Eh, no matter, we obviously didn't need him/her anyway.

So I just read the title and jumped right to the last page. So Killary is like a new brand of gelatin then?

True story: Back in the 1970's I had a Jello cookbook. Seriously. I bet you had no idea one needed a recipe book in order to make and serve jello. . I think it was called something like " The New Joys of Jello". Of course, the use of "New" in the title implies there is an earlier version. Now *that* is truly scary. LOL

I HAVE that book! For the record, it IS in the garage waiting for a garage sale. I always had great intentions (in the 80s) to make something from it, but never did.

ooh, now I want jello pudding 'poke cake' !!! (I don't know if that's the *real* name of it or not, lol) but from what I can remember, it's:
1) Mix up a yellow cake (from a cake mix, of course) and bake in a 9x13 pan.
2) Let the cake cool and poke holes in it with a wooden spoon.
3) Mix up a box of chocolate pudding
4) Spread the just-mixed chocolate pudding over the top of the cake-- the pudding will go down into the holes you've poked in the cake.
5) Put it into the refrigerator to let the pudding set up.
6) cut into pieces, serve, and enjoy!!
...thinking about pudding also makes me want chocolate Jello Pudding Pops; I used to love those things!!
