So far it's 0 for 2 for me. Sounds promising for my wallet, but I bet it means I'm just going to fall hard for the pricey main kit.

Ugh. I do not care for Pam's kit in the least. To each their own though! Here's a pic for those who haven't seen it yet.

I can see Pam's kit being really good for our Southern Hemisphere friends! Very bright and sun-shiny!

So the next designer was announced - it is Pam Garrison. The kit has red, green, blue and yellow. Its a most definite NO for me. On first glance I was like Yuuuuuuck. but then I thought about it and I realized that all of my failure to launch DD albums have things that look pretty identical. Maybe this is the year that I try something different. IF I get one.
ETA 1: Totally makes me think of Charlie Brown or the Grinch. It may just push me over the edge.
ETA 2: Dammit.

At this stage, I'm just going to have to head down to Etsy and Ebay to see if anyone is selling last year's Kelly Purkey mini kit card that read "Tipsy and toasty". It's the only DD thing I'm currently properly lusting over... Recap so far: - 1 mini kit classic "heavy" colours with pops of brighter pale shades, semi-minimalist design with pretty handwritten font as main design element - 1 mini kit with again light non-traditional colours, funky more "childhood-themed" drawing/doodling as main design element This means that the next mini kits should now shift away from those lighter Spring/Summer colours. We still need a proper bold colour scheme with possibly bold graphics like thick stripes and such. Also a more mainstream Christmas shapes as main design element kit. Predictions anyone?

I love the lightness and pastel colors. I would like to make a DD in those colors some year, but as it turns out the light and pastel colors tend to end up in my Christmas planner. Good colors for any time of the year. Some of the cards in the sneak I will use on other projects, not Christmas related. I love the kit!

Predictions: - a neutral mini: black, white, and a metallic (gold most likely, but maybe some silver, copper, or rose gold to make it less like AG's kit from last year) - a traditional family-oriented kit: red, green, white, and black with traditional elements (stockings, santa, reindeer, tree, snowflakes, etc) - an activity driven kit similar to Emily Ley's (hopefully that works for those without young children) - an adult kit (crossing my fingers Kelly is doing one this year, love her kits - great for grown-up holiday merrymaking) Not sure what will be in the main kit. Hope all the papers are realistic photos (not a fan and it'll encourage me not to cave). LOL SaveSave

Ha! And that is what turns me off! No Grinch for me! The only paper I know I would use is the one with the bow and mistletoe (even though it has pink).

- an adult kit (crossing my fingers Kelly is doing one this year, love her kits - great for grown-up holiday merrymaking) I'm also crossing my fingers for this. No children, city girl, bring on the champagne and cava. I'm really hoping KP brings us the "fun young careless aunt with a pack of friends" kit again this year!

I love the chipboard in the kit but not so much the rest. I really think I am going to be making my album from my stash this year, I am not liking enough of any kit or line to buy yet. Hoping Ali's kit knocks it out of the park for me.

We always say, everything is the same. So here we go, something very different. The colors almost remind me of colors from Dr Seuss books. Primary colors that are sort of made pastel. Though this kit wouldn't work for me, I'm sure many other someones will snap it right up as just what they we hoping for.

I like her style, but I think I'm more of a traditionalist for Christmas. Where's the Santa suit reds and evergreen greens? Although, if anyone wants to unload that multicoloured matchstick card or has something against paper cranes, let me know. Im seriously crushing on those prints.

I don't mind Jasmine's but the other two look horrible to me. I agree with others above who want a "no kids" kind of kit, there are no young children in our family - only young adults/older adults.. so let's have something that doesn't look like a kindergarten classroom, please-and-thank-you.

Today is another no. Beyond the wooden trees, I don't see much that makes it stand out from a regular SC DK kit...

While the untraditional colors/patterns are nice, for Christmas I want tradition.

Today is another no. Beyond the wooden trees, I don't see much that makes it stand out from a regular SC DK kit... It definitely looks very SC to me. And SC kits almost never make sense... It looks like a kit you could use for any picture which is why I like it. I'm an untraditionalist.

I am actually starting to panic. Nothing as of yet wants me to buy a kit. I wonder how much longer until other companies share their kits? I want to know what I am using my the end of Sept for sure.
