What company? I'm the worst at remembering most companies! My random scrappy talk; For about a month we've slowly been changing a few things in the house. I decided once everything was back in the Living Room, I should organize scrap stuff better (where it's located). I bought 5 generic versions of those cropper hopper paper holders. Not even close to filling them up. Of course that doesn't include the 12x12 envelopes of Halloween, Valentines, and 3 others for specific projects. My conclusion, I need more paper so they are more sturdy.

The dies match the stamps perfectly - correct? You'll make adorable cards. You need them. Yes and the thing about it is I don't really even care about the stamps, lol. I just love their dies! refugeepea My Favorite Things. Here is Keisha's IG feed. I just adore her cards!

Was Keisha in China for a few years way back when? Wasn't she with Making Memories at that time, too? I remember someone and I thought her name was Keisha and she was a superstar scrapbooker and lived in China (I saw her blog a few times). The above link is truly amazing! She is a rockstar card maker!

Her clean style is superb!

I love Keisha's style as well nicolep! I think even with the Cameo, there are some dies I would still like to have. Mostly the ones that have little added details - like some kind of embossing. But you could experiment with some shapes and see if you're happy with what you can produce with your Cameo.

Well my random thought for the day is that I no idea MFT produces monthly card kits. There are some cute ones there and they seem to be good value for what you get. You can also buy the elements individually. www.mftstamps.com/card-kits

Is MFT selling their files at the Silhouette store? I know all the scrap companies seem to be uploading their die versions to the Cameo store. I am looking at you Echo Park the day after I ordered the diamond die. I really do that now when I get the die I want to buy, buy, buy. I go look at the Silhouette store or one of the online digi scrapbook stores. I always try to make do with a digi file I either designed or bought before I buy the die. A lot of times I preferred my style. I do still buy dies that are embossed or cut a variety of materials. My other rule is I buy the die if the material I would like to use is not suitable for the Cameo. For example I love to make gitter snowflakes. I prefer to buy snowflake dies over Silhouette files so I won't gunk up my machine with glitter.

I have a Cricut Expression, but I still buy the occasional dies. I love Lawn Fawn's die and stamp combinations.
I try to only buy the dies I will use multiple times.

And this is the thing...so many of Keisha's beautiful cards are not done with the stamps. Plenty are but the ones with just the dies or a stamp that I could easily replicate attract my eye! That's how I primarily make my cards too! Hers are much more sophisticated looking!

Random scrappy things going on with me ....
Uploading some photos to Shutterfly. I haven't been happy with Snapfish's changes so giving Shutterfly a try. Realized I haven't ordered photos in forever and I really need to do better at ordering on a regular basis.
Powered through and finished most of DS's summer camp layouts. Yea!!!
Looking forward to a retreat in January with a friend. I need to get organized and decide what I want to work on and make up some kits.
Speaking of kits, I put together one for the summer camp layouts and I loved how easy it made everything. I was able to use up a ton of supplies and it made putting the layouts together much easier. I think it's really worth the effort and time to gather supplies ahead of time if I am working on a large set of photos.

How did I miss this thread the first time around??? nicolep and anniefb - I love the MFT kits. I've have several. They are pricey but I feel the quality and quantity of the kit is worth it. This past kit, a friend and I went in haves and we are sharing it. Not that we wouldn't share our stuff anyway. But I wanted the scripty stamps and she wanted the flower dies. Oh and you don't have to sign up. Just place your order when they go on sale, because they go FAST! I canceled my SSS kit club. I just feel like I was skipping too many. And then if I'm on vacation (out of cell/email service area) it gets billed before I can cancel. If I want a kit I will order it and pay the extra $5. My random thought is I need to get going on my Christmas cards! Yikes. I should send 50, but trimmed down to people I actually see it's about 25, but just for family and close friends it's only 15 (with one saved for me!). I can do it, right?

I'm going to try and reign myself in!

I think I'm coming to the realization that I will never use my Cricut Expression (two of them) again. those, the Gypsy that's loaded with all my cartridges, and all the cartridges. I just don't know if they are worth listing as one big bundle.

My random scrappy talk: My anti-virus software has hijacked my Silhouette store connection and I can't connect to the store. I can't get into my anti-virus software to allow the connection. I'm going to have to take it in to get fixed - I've done everything I know to do and can't get it to work I miss the store and cutting!

Random scrappy talk--I am making some low tech Christmas cards today: basically using cutaparts from Kaisercraft and BoBunny Christmas lines and gluing them together in various ways on card bases. Using the occasional die or embossing folder, but not overthinking this. So far, pretty happy with the results. I am intrigued though, by the FMT cards nicolep posted. Wondering if I need to pull out my Christmas tree dies and see if I could put together something Christmassy like that. Maybe use the banner dies inverted as minimalist trees...

I just finished Layout a Day in October. I loved doing it , but it was a big commitment. I think I'll work on my Christmas cards if I have any creative time in the next few weeks.

Hope it all works out! I have no random scrappy chat at the moment, other than I wish had more time do it. Of course, maybe if I did scrap more, I'd have more to chat about . . .

I've cut just about all the SVGs and PNGs I want to and want my Silhouette store back. I use it a lot on my layouts. I've lost my mojo - lol. I bought Malware Bytes or something like that from my computer repair company last year after I got a virus and had to have my computer repaired. It's been fine all year until this happened out of the blue. I just can't get into it to change any settings, so I'm going to have to take it in soon.

...I do0n't know all that much about it, but isn't your library of shapes on your computer with the Silhouette software, melissas? I know I don't HAVE to be hooked up to the internet to use my Silhouette and my library of shapes, I just have to have my Silhouette hooked up to my laptop. My random scrappy stuff: we're having a garage sale this coming Saturday, and I think I'm going to see if I can sell any of my 'extra' paper (paper I will never, ever use because of the patterns) and maybe some other stickers, etc. and my border punches. I just HAD to have all those border punches when they were first trendy, but I can NEVER get them to line up right, so the punched borders always end up looking like crap, or wasting paper! maybe I can get a buck or two for them... and that will force me to use my Silhouette more often, which is a good thing, too. Also, I need to finish the 'we've moved' cards-- we moved over Labor Day weekend, for gosh sakes-- and send them out, so people will know where to send our Christmas cards. And I need to start thinking about making Christmas cards, too! (I really like the cards made strictly with dies and/or punches, too- that's a thought; maybe I don't need to do any stamping / coloring for my Christmas cards, at all... hmmm...)

My random scrap chat is that I noticed a blurb in the newsletter that comes from the school my kid goes to. The librarian is looking for some scrapbook paper so they can make bookmarks for all the kids in the school. And I'm on the schedule to go there tomorrow to volunteer in DD's classroom, so I'm already going there. I think I'm about to be the school librarian's new BFF because I must easily have at least a foot high stack of leftover patterned paper that I'm going to drop off with her for this project!

I wish had more time do it. Time is always what I need more of, too. Random scrappy talk.... I'm going to try to scrap today. I don't have any appointments to run kids to other than getting them to school. My youngest can hang with mommy. I'll just do laundry and not run around to fifteen different stores today.

Unfortunately, before I realized it was my anti-virus software, I tried upgrading my Silhouette software. It first cleared out my library and then was unable to update it, so I have nothing in my library to cut I could just kick myself for trying to upgrade it first because I'm missing my library! Annie had a great link for me to try when I get home from work to try and resolve it.
