I know it's part of running for president, but at this point what's the point of the debate? Everyone (save for a tiny minority of undecided independents) have made their decision. I can't decide if there's any value in watching. No way will I watch it live. I like the option of fast forwarding.

I wouldn't typically defend Donald Trump, but my understanding is that Hillary Clinton first invited Mark Cuban.

I wouldn't dream of missing it, but that's bc I am obsessed with following it all. I see your point...I can't imagine many people who are invested enough to vote are really undecided at this point, and or that with all the press coverage to this point that 90 minutes will be a compelling decisive factor. But what do I know? I can't believe it's even close. This is the most polarizing race in history.

I wouldn't typically defend Donald Trump, but my understanding is that Hillary Clinton first invited Mark Cuban. And? What is the equivalency here? Now should Hillary invite Marla Maples? Then Trump: Paula Jones. Then Hillary: Someone else Trump screwed (either literally or financially)? So presidential of him.

Well, my interpretation of the OP is that it was not nice of Trump to invite a guest who Hillary probably wouldn't like to see in the front row. But Trump doesn't like Cuban, and if Hillary's campaign invited Cuban to dig at Trump, I'm not going to sit here and be surprised or outraged that the Trump campaign responded in kind.

Or they invited Cuban bc he is a big HRC supporter and if it happens to annoy Trump, all the better. I still think inviting a celebrity you don't get along with is not in the same league as inviting someone the candidate's husband cheated with in an attempt to shame or humiliate the contender for President of the United States. And, she accepted. That's a proud moment. HRC wasnt even the one who cheated. It's low. Should we have a special section for Trump's ex wives, his mistresses (at some points one and the same), any women he's sexually harassed, maybe the woman who has accused him of rape when she was 13? No, because this isn't supposed to be a 3 ring circus, and anyway, there wouldn't be enough seats.

Did Mark Cuban have to be invited, or could he just ask for a seat since he has $$ invested in the party?
IDK....
I may be wrong, but I think Hillary has dealt with the mistresses so long and often that it may not even turn her head.

You may have a point if Hillary had sex with Mark Cuban. But I don't believe that is the case. All Trump is doing is creating distractions. I gues he doesn't trust his debating skills or his position on the issues. As for Ms Flowers when is she going to stop letting men use her because that is exactly what Trump is doing.

I'm not really worried about Hillary. Trump just showed the world how petty and misogynistic he is.

Ok, I am tired but I read the article - and it doesnt say he invited her. He threatened to invite her. And nothing about her accepting.
Am I missing it somewhere?

Trashy. Very trashy. And I cannot imagine that Mrs Clinton would even be affected by her presence, so he is just looking to cause a distraction from his obvious lack of qualifications to be president. Comical that his distraction is just further proof of how unfit he is for the job.

When I read this earlier, I believe I literally lost my mind. As in my DH swears he saw my head do a 360 & spew pea soup in a great Exorocist imitation.
What a motherfucking, petty, dumbass, fuckwad Trump is. I have no more patience for him & his asinine campaign. And really, this is his response to Mark Cuban, a noted Clinton supporter being invited?
How any woman could be O.K with an obvious attempt to humiliate the person who was cheated on? Take out all the names involved & really think out this scenario, Still sure you're O.K with it? Or is it only o.k because it involves Hilary Clinton? Such fucking bullshit.

Hillary Clinton is a strong woman and she always becomes stronger in the face of those types of challenges. I can't imagine she'll be rattled, but Trump sure is. Petty, petty little boy. I can taste his fear.

However one can show empathy toward a person and question their choice/decision. That is just how complex life is. Trump invited her to the debate for the sole reason to try and embarrass the Clintons. Her "relationship" with Bill was a generation ago. There are a whole lot of people who don't even know who she is. The Clintons are not going to be embrassed. So what is the upside to Ms Flowers to be at the debate?
