May as well bring on the Hoff images and gross Jello recipes. One wish granted. That is just disgusting. The pressed meat sh!t in that is just beyond gross. There isn't enough mayonnaise in the world to hide the crunch the Jello makes and when you get a piece of GRISTLE in your teeth you want to vomit. Gross! I think we need a debate what kind of cranberry cocktail tastes the best. Get away from the Jello salads. I just cannot deal anymore with this grossness.

I have just let them blather on, spouting nonsense and acting like a herd of Chicken Little people. Full blown rampant paranoia. Please don't worry about anyone who might get so wound up they leave. I remember once posting about driving from Oklahoma into New Mexico and someone said that wasn't possible, that the entire state of Texas was between those 2 states. Hello, had that person never seen a US map? I let it go, realizing anyone that stupid wasn't worth my time correcting. Neither are the people still wound up about the election results. It's just 1 election out of many in their lifetime. They will either recover or spend the next 4 years pissing and moaning. This is not just another election in my lifetime and efforts to spin it as so are just naive at best. I plan to spend the next 4 years proudly pissing and moaning because my country and my principals mean something to me.
Me too! and I also plan on continuing to attend my local Democratic Party monthly meetings, start attending the new women's organization meetings that are starting up after Christmas, volunteer again at a couple of Planned Parenthood events and I'm going to march at my local Women March on Washington in January and that's just for starters.
I'll have to see exactly which discriminatory road this administration wants to travel down in order to decide who needs my help the most.

Pretty funny coming from the snootiest pea on the board...and I think that's something almost everyone would agree on. I don't even mean it in a bad way, it's just simply the truth.

This is not just another election in my lifetime and efforts to spin it as so are just naive at best. I plan to spend the next 4 years proudly pissing and moaning because my country and my principals mean something to me. I spend most of my days pissing and moaning about something or other - where you actually intending to Do something, or just keep on posting here with an endless list of things you are not happy with? Just curious, because it always motivates me when I see how others will actually do something for change, so am very interested in seeing what your intentions are. Wow, I didn't realize I had an endless list. I'll have to see if there's anything I can remove...Well, I find in doing a deep soul searching, sadly, no, there's nothing I can remove. When I say pissing and moaning, I mean I'm not going to cede to those who are begging to give Trump a fresh start, (so much for that with the appointment of Bannon) and those (both on Refugees and elsewhere) who are gliding along on their happy little delusional clouds that this was a typical election with a "normal" person elected to office, aka someone qualified for the job, someone who knows what he's doing and doesn't need a fucking remedial course from the sitting president. What makes you think I haven't taken action already?

I just want to say that I think Annabella gets a bad rap here. I think since the old board she has come a long way in her board participation. Did you guys ever notice that Annabella is one of the first posters on any thread asking for encouragement/prayers/positive thoughts, etc. Consistently. I think there is some history there and she does say things sometimes that make me go, WTF? I have NEVER personally seen her get down in the gutter like some of you have. Some members here just pounce the minute she makes a guffaw. But, if you ever in a tight bind and want to know there is someone who cares; Annabella does. Please put away the pitchforks and accept that Annabella, who sometimes says off the wall things (sorry Annabella but you do) is a compassionate encourager to those who are hurting.

I used to fully agree with you, until she started on me the other day, completely unprovoked. Unless what pissed her off is that I laughed at her ridiculous assertions that coral workout gear looks cheap and ranch dressing is low class, and if that's all it took to set her off, she's missing a whole lot of self-awareness about how she comes across to others. I've never had any problem with her in the past, and I agree she sometimes got picked on or called stupid when it was not deserved. I've defended her in the past, but this Annabella isn't the same person. She's angry and wanting a fight with people who I've never seen say one word about her. It's weird. I do disagree with you that she's the first to wish others well, though. I don't really ever see her do that. Which is her right, and not something I judge her negatively for, but being supportive across the board isn't really something I associate with her.

Geeze, it started as an apology for any hurt feelings caused and then went all sideways. Must be that Super Moon business making so many people Super Pissy. Someone said that half of us are all upset and projecting the end of civilization. Well what about the other half? Those of us who do believe that life as we know it will not suffer an iota. Our feelings count too.
All the personal slapping and finger pointing was not what the OP had in mind, starting this thread. Everyone seem certain their version of things is right and everyone else is wrong. Seems like a little healing is needed.

This thread is confusing. The OP is apologizing but with the caveat that she hasn't posted anything offensive, just apologizing anyway. For attention, validation, to shake her finger in faces, to make people think about their behavior?
Then Annabelle chimes in, saying yeah so you were nasty to me at one point. Then people go on about credibility, cookware, jello, and the mother of all sauces.
Help me. I know y'all hate this phrase as much as you hate "y'all" but what's the 'take away' from this thread? Even a haiku would work. Gimme somethin'.

I apologized for posting on threads that made people upset and if I had indirectly hurt those peas.
It was not for attention, or validation, or to point fingers. It was I don't like to see people hurt and if I participated I was sorry.
No hidden agenda.
Geez.

And OP, I don't recall if you've ever said anything hurtful. I don't generally hold grudges, hell half the time I can't remember what side of a political debate people here are in other than the most vocal. Don't sweat it. I thought I was the only one who takes each post for what it is. There are Very few people on this board that I could say were on one side or another. And the nutty extremists, well I just scroll on by their posts. I rarely read them. I tend to do that too, for the most part. I try to take each thread separate but similar behaviors can sometimes pop up.

Add a supermoon to the election and most everyones nerves are raw. Please don't anyone else leave. It will get better. Many of us here have been through a lot of stuff through many years and still hung together as a group. We even went through the loss of our forum and thanks to the admin, we were able to regroup and continue to be the powerful Peas. Everyone is different and we all have our opinions and we all won't agree on everything. That is what keeps things interesting. We bicker, sometimes fight, but if one ever needs help, or prayers, or positive thoughts, we rally around and are there for each other. Group hug?
I hope that the ones that have left will find their way back soon.

I am so bummed I missed a discussion about ranch dressing being low class.
In my waitress days, we used to TOTALLY predict people's tips from their salad dressing choice.*
Bleu cheese or oil and vinegar (the cruets, mind you) = $$$
In the interest of prevailing board kumbaya-ing, I won't say which dressings = ¢¢¢
(No, not equating tips with class. If you lined my pockets, I didn't care a whit about your pedigree.)
ETA: *This was long before the days of flavored vinaigrettes, so I admit my list would need some 21st century adjustment. And then there's the advent of honey mustard...

So we've had some massive tipping threads in the past and the recent ranch dressing thread - I really see that you are the uniter here and can bring us one of the most controversial threads of all time. Might as well. This week has been a weird one here, so why not throw down.
