@juliehenry4 Ok, that's impressive. That's a lot of layouts. You must've earned yourself a badge (and some cookies)! Also, yes to flipping through albums. ALL the feels (and the sweet sweet satisfaction). Linda mom He truly is a keeper... Hey, chicas, we're two thirds into the challenge today! (well, on my side of the globe anyway) It doesn't matter if you took a little detour and bought a few things, as long as you're sincerely happy with the effort you've put into not splurging all over the place (and feeling guilty afterwards), you've done great! One last stretch and it'll already be over.

100 layouts!! That is so impressive! This freeze inspired me to stop other shopping that I didn't need - I haven't been to Target since the end of November! That is huge for me, I'm a Target addict. I bought a couple things online, but they were all needs (deodorant, shampoo, etc), and otherwise I've stayed away, even though I have a couple giftcards. Now it's become a game to see how long I can make it without going I've been doing my grocery shopping by ordering online/picking up at the door of the grocery store, so I'm sure I'm saving money with that too. Feeling good!

I failed, but I am ok with it. The damage was minor!
I rarely have time to stop at TM, but yesterday I had an hour to kill right by TM and Home Goods. I scored two packages of double sided EP cardstock. I love that stuff and they were only $3.99. I also bought 2 packs of journaling cards for $0.99.
Something weird - another shopper was looking at the Project Life boxes and they were all empty! We assume someone stole the contents. Sick.

I'm still frozen! I've been looking at the new CHA, though, and I'm happy I don't see anything I can't live without!

I just counted and I've completed close to 100 pages in the last month! WOW! You've done fantastic! Great job! Thug scrapbook life. Walking around carrying a glue gun and brass knuckles made from old album rings, stealing PL cards 'cause it's hard out there, motherscrapper... Elsabelle, I understand the FOMO with peachy cheap. I recently saw enamel dots sets there, I seriously had to talk myself out of! I love enamel dots, but usually get them from pc. Then I was like, they'll have dots again, I still have dots, yada yada yada.... I didn't get them and felt good about that. I had some iris bins that I was suppose to get in December for organizing my scrap room and with travel scheduling I knew I'd have to order them in January and not count as breaking my freeze. However, I still haven't ordered them and now I'm thinking maybe I'll hold off for a few months and see if I really need them. I also canceled my Hip Kit subscription today. I want to try another sub, maybe Clique Kits. I really wanted Paper Camellia but they don't do kits any more.

I thought of all of you ladies this morning: we were over at friends for brunch and their daughter was watching Frozen. Although the French title translates to the Ice Queen, almost everyone here calls it Frozen anyway. I was belting along to Let It Go in the spirit of all of us not clicking the 'purchase' button X amount of times this month. Ten days left. I have started thinking about what I truly want from the new CHA/Creativation lines by (vaguely) planning ahead what their use would be and how far away said use would be. I've set a few simple rules for myself: 1. if it's a "someday" product, I'm skipping; 2. if it's a "for sure used half of it in 2017", it's a purchase; 3. one free pass for one thing I really really like but haven't got an idea of how or when to use (it will probably be something cheap like a paper or a chipboard set); 4. if I don't have a good idea of how to use half of the embellishments of an ephemera pack, I'm not buying; 5. if the colour scheme is a new one to the ones present in my stash, I'm going to resist buying (because I don't want to have buy several products of a collection to just make that one item that caught my eye work); 6. it needs to work for my format (I'm a pocket scrapper), so even if I really like it but it's just too bulky or too big a statement to look nice in pockets, adios amigo and go make someone else happy instead. These are of course very personal rules and they're not restrictions as much as clear guidelines I've had the time to figure out during my freeze so far to come to a happy ending when I get out of the cooler. I've really enjoyed all the thinking I've done (not only about scrapbooking but also about spending and consumerism in general) over the past few weeks. The time has come to start tying up all these thoughts into a cohesive and comprehensive personal conclusion. I hope you will all start feeling like the lessons of the freeze start floating to the surface of your minds as well. Happy weekend, Frozen Peas!

I just counted and I've completed close to 100 pages in the last month! And I feel my mojo fading which is ok. Maybe by tax time all the new releases will be stocked and I can splurge! It's been a lot of fun using stuff that I really do love and was happy to get. I feel less guilty for all the shopping and it's been very therapeutic. Wow that's great @juliehenry4!

I'm on holiday so have been doing some clothes and shoe shopping in london, but no craft items. I also have a few kits waiting forme at home from purchases in Nov and December so don't anticipate buying anything extra in February either. I'll just have my new Cocoa Daisy sub!

I tried to be good, I really did, but then I realised that I needed some NYC patterned paper for the covers of the notebooks I'll be using as smashbooks for our vacation this summer.....and they had some cute stickers too....and since shipping is expensive, it made sense to add a few more things But I'm frozen again now, promise!

anniefb Did you see that the Paperchase London-themed Christmas cards are on sale right now? I saw they were really cheap on Asos. (if you want to turn them into a scrap feature, that is) How's your stay going? Are you having fun? How is the Sky Garden in the winter (if you've gone up there)?

We're going to Vienna next weekend! I think I'd mentioned it earlier in this thread (because part of my Frozen money went into the trip) Telepathic travel plans? Whaaaaat? Yay for family and friends time. I'm assuming you cannot see each other often so these moments together must be extra precious. I hope you're not too cold in the UK though! Winter holidays are a lot of fun too but need a positive mindset to get through some of the rougher weather.

Still frozen here, 20 days into the month. I do have my SSS February Kit coming, so that will be very happy mail! My SSS cart has some tools and items I really want to order, but I can wait. If they're out of stock by February, I'll survive. sleepingbooty , I like your checklist. I am going to look at it and review my cart to see what really needs to be in there. anniefb , your trip looks fabulous. I hope the weather has been nice for you. Vienna! How wonderful. A British friend of DD's is there now, and I am drooling over her Instagram pictures.

I almost caved today while Pinterest-ing. Just because someone made a cute card with a stamp set I don't own doesn't mean I have to buy the stamps and dies.
[My Pinterest boards are mostly based on stamp sets I own. Then I can search for ideas I can make immediately. But of course other items pop up on the feed.]
Only ten days to go. I can do this !!!

Help me! I hurt myself falling off the frozen wagon!!
If it wasn't for the timeliness, I would have waited, but the stamp set I need (yes, need) was sold out every where. After much searching, I found it two places with very low stock, and I felt that if I waited until Feb, it would be sold out. It is a Love stamp/die set from Hero Arts.
I want to use to to make some Valentine Day cards. That, and a 3-D heart embossing folder. I was looking for inspiration for a 3-d folder I already have, and the Valentine card popped up.
Well I made it 20 days, but I will have pretty Valentine cards! And I already have all the other stuff need.
Ooops!!

Winter holidays are a lot of fun too but need a positive mindset to get through some of the rougher weather. I'm used to coming at this time of year because it's really the only time I can get 6 weeks off (January is normally very quiet at work because of our long summer holidays, courts being closed etc) and as I mostly come to see people I really don't mind. Have a wonderful time in Vienna! I'm going to see cousins who live there and just to the south in Baden bei Wien.

I'm going strong in my frozen state and have made 7 pages so far. Organizing in my scrapbook room helps me to not spend because the process has been a sobering realization that I have plenty. Staying away from Tuesday Morning has been key especially on Mondays (truck days always held some excitement).

I fell off the wagon. Sigh. My girls and I went to David’s bridal for prom and there was a michaels next door so we went in. I was good though, I only bought 2-12x12 pads for $5.99 each. It fulfilled my craving for more!
My oldest DD also kept me on track in bath and body works! She's like mom you don't need it. I think she just doesn't want to have to end up on hoarders with me! Lol
Back into the freezer!

Lessons learned this month: weekly visits to HL and Ms had become a habit. They happen to be located close to my grocery store and it had been so easy to make a visit to them part of the weekly routine. And what's a visit without a purchase, right? I will admit it took a strong bit of willpower at first to just buy groceries and head for home but it's gotten much easier now. I plan to continue this "grocery shopping does not mean a trip to the craft store" mentality into February.

Unfortunately probably not, but since both love and hearts are a multi-use type of product I was ok with it. The stamp set only has 1 Valentine sentiment, the rest can be used year around.

miominmio, I have been eyeing the Kelly Purkey NYC stamps all month because I have some great pics from our trip in December. I'm still holding strong on being frozen though. Since I haven't been shopping I thought nothing of convincing my husband to get a hotel room this weekend and have a mini ice skating and swimming vacation with my daughters. I probably spent more on this than I did on shopping in a month. It was totally worth it.
