Hi Peas! It's a New Year and new month. Is everyone ready to start creating? This is a no-stress challenge. If you want to create, great! All you have to do is list the supplies you used. Don't feel badly for not using up all your supplies at once. Don't feel badly about having spent the money on them. We all did. What we are doing here is proving to ourselves that we DO craft and we are happy to share what supplies we used up. The good part is we can buy new next month if we want to! Enjoy and happy crafting!
Elannah
Update: Doesn't it feel great to use the supplies. I know it's hard to cut into paper. I struggle with it myself. It's a real problem because it won't be new and beautiful anymore. BUT it's ok. Use your supplies and love using them. Feel the paper in your hand and the sound of the paper trimmer as you cut off a piece of paper. You have more paper in your stash. I know you do! I do too! It's ok to open that package of wood veneers. There will be more made. There may be even better ones in the future so use the supplies while they are fresh in your mind. If you have old "fibres" as we called them, bring them out. Use your eyelets. It does not matter. Using supplies up is all that counts. Get the most for your money!
Update 2: What about stuff that is new in packages? We all have it whether it's stickers, ribbon, scissors, glitter, twine, eyelets, it doesn't matter. Take the packaging off and enjoy those new scissors that cut like butter. You bought them and now's the time to enjoy them. I found 2 more pairs of Tim Holtz scissors downstairs and I opened them yesterday. What good are they doing me in my tool drawer doing nothing? Heck I even have a pair upstairs for cutting hard to cut things. It's all ok! This is a ((((((feel good)))))) thread. It's to share the love we have for scrapbooking as well as love for your fellow Peas.
One thing I would encourage you to do is curb your spending right now to next to nothing other than adhesive if possible. All of us have huge stashes in our scrap rooms, basements, bedrooms, dining rooms and craft cottages. There is no competition here for the most supplies. She who uses the most stuff gets the most pages done! That is the goal. If you only get one page done in January that's fine, too. It's not a race but rather is a goal. I hope you fall in love with scrapbooking again as it's a wonderful hobby of sisterhood, friendship and creativity. Many hugs!

First project on my list this year is to use some of the mountain of Gelli Plate prints I made since I got that darn plate. They're right when they say it's addicting because I never seem to end up with less than 15-20 prints whenever I bring it out. I actually had to rig up a couple of drying racks because I never have enough space to dry all the papers during a printing session. Anyway, I'm making cards with matching envelopes and so far I'm using: Envelope Punch board Gelli prints card stock stamps/inks old stash of Prima type flowers wood veneer pieces enamel dots/jewels fibers/ribbon I won't use any of these things up, but I'm hoping to make a dent in supplies I haven't reached for in ages.

That sounds like fun, Frazzled Mom! I still have some art journal backgrounds from Dyan's Reaveley's class I want to use this year. And I want to use some of my tools. Might have to try this. Would love to see some of your cards and envies.

I have some Christmas cards in progress on my desk - using up the very end of an old DCWV 6x4 stack, a bunch of scraps, and using a Christmas sentiment stamp I've never touched. It should use up the rest of my card blanks also -I think 16 are left - and then I'll make another 7-ish cards from scrap cardstock to match with envelopes I have on hand to finish up with I have stamped/cut.
I'll report back when they are DONE

You are awesome! You're off to a great start. Even using a paper trimmer is more than some of us have used in a long time! Keep going!!!!

I like this idea!
Lately I've been having a blast using my Say Cheese and Say Cheese II supplies. I bought A LOT of embellishments and I'm so glad I did. It's so much easier to scrap faster with lots of options.

I made a card w/a piece of thin glossy chipboard as a background card, used stazon to ink on it, used my markers (cheapy markers) to color it, put washi on it, used an embossing folder for a layer behind it. Yeay! Welcome 2017.

Yeay! Welcome 2017. That's exactly what I am going for. Use those supplies! If the markers dry up from use, buy new ones in February. You are using your hard earned supplies! Love them and enjoy them.

I used up these yellow/orange stars from scraptastic and actually cut up a PL card to use as stamping background! That was a big step for me http://instagram.com/p/BOxIz6cAQZ9

I'm thrilled that I've knocked out 7 pages so far this month using all stash paper, except for one piece. I need to keep the trend of completing pages going. I know it does't sound like much, but if I can get up to 15 pages done this month I will be thrilled.

Yesterday I took my scrapbooking stuff to my mom's house and helped her make her first ever layout! She chose 3 sheets of patterned paper I've had in my stash since about 2007. They worked great with her memorabilia and I am so happy to have them go to use! Today, I am going to hook up my Silhouette and start on my card project. Over the years I have totally depleted my stash of pre-made cards so I'm going to try to make a few Christmas, Valentine, Birthday, and everyday cards over the next few weekends to replenish my stock of cards. I'll make all of these cards with things out of my stash.

My first plan is thank you cards for Christmas gifts. Then my lofty goal is to make a Christmas card with every holiday themed set I own. I don't have a ton but definitely a few that I have never used. I'm hoping to have plenty of cards to send out to family and friends next Christmas and extras to donate to the caring hearts card drive.

I have so many cards pinned on pintrest to make using either stamp sets I on or cut files. I may have to do this as well.

Having stacks of paper isn't doing you any good if you aren't using them so 7 pages on the 2nd of January I would say is pretty awesome progress. Getting 15 for the month is a highly attainable goal I would say. Keep at it and you'll be so pleased!
