I got some Christmas supplies in my Clique Kits grab bag and I had a messy box kit from the SC warehouse box. Since I'm a bit of a grinch, I would never buy Christmas supplies, so I was happy to use them up on my December layouts! On this 9x12 layout, I used up the majority of that messy box, plus almost an entire package of enamel dots from the Clique Kits box: http://instagram.com/p/BPA8axig2Rs On this pocket page, I used those acrylics that came in the Clique Kits box for just a pop of texture. They didn't coordinate perfectly, but they're doing their job! Also, I'm giving myself bonus points for using that bobby pin in the bottom right. That was a tricky one! http://instagram.com/p/BPDQ6IoALBE

LOVE those layouts- they're really fun!! (and I'm impressed by your use of enamel dots- I like them, but am so stingy with them I can only bring myself to use a couple per layout, lol... but it's not like I don't already have a lifetime supply of them, lol!!)

ellewood , I LOVE how you sprinkled joy--er, enamel dots--over that first page, AND how you used the bubble diecut piece with the printed pp. Super page! Did that diecut page come with the kit? Or did you diecut it yourself. I have a CTMH Cricut cartridge that can cut a design like that with circles and stars. And your PL page is cute, too. Great problem solving with the flare and the bobby pin! Did you use sequins? Did you seal them in with a Fuse tool?

My husband does. Not. Get. It. And I don't have any scrappy friends! The cut file was a result when I searched google images for "circle cut file" i put two on my canvas then rotated one and welded them together to make it wider. The sequins are held in by sewing my PP shut. My sewing machine is easily accessible but my fuse takes forever, so I took the quick way out!

ellewood - love your page! just completed one more layout for the Road Trip album - just a single page one this time - used the B side of a patterned paper that I didn't like the A side and colour blocked with cardstock and photos - used up the scraps from my last layout on this one.

Worked on making cards today. So far, I have one finished and a couple more on the go. I have used two sheets of cs, a sheet of pp, some glitter acetate, some diecuts made from scraps, and a bit of paint. I used a couple of punches I haven't used in a long time. Now I know why I cut almost everything with my Vagabond!

I come and read this thread for inspiration, too!! Even though I haven't created very much yet, I've been doing some (old-school) crafting over the last couple weeks in my free time: counted cross-stitch! It's pretty fun; I still like it, even if I DO have to use a magnifying glass, now, lol.
I'm doing some simple, small designs on perforated paper to include in a couple pocket letters. I also started assembling two pocket letters last night, using stuff from my stash. (except for the baseball card sleeves; I had to buy them.) It was pretty fun to dig through my stuff and pull out little bits and pieces that I know I won't ever use on a SB page, but they're working perfectly in designing the small 2.5 x 3.5 cards in a pocket letter.
I'm going to a 12-hour crop on Saturday, so I will be doing even MORE crafting then!!

Last night I opened and starting using a "dog kit" that I bought from WalMart several years ago. Feels good to use it!

I am SO joining in this thread this year!! I haven't created anything YET, but I WILL!!! I've spent WAAAAAY too much time in front of the television and on my phone / computer the past year.
THIS WILL ALL CHANGE NOW!!! (well, this evening, after work, anyway- lol)
If I scrapped half as much as I watch TV, I wouldn't still be scrapping 2004 photos . . . Love everybody's layouts! grammadee & ellewood, I am always looking for ways to use busy patterned paper and your hockey & reindeer paper pages gave me great ideas!! Awesome pages - and thanx for the inspiration! I have yet to figure out how to upload photos of my layouts (I have tried, I am just technologically challenged, so I surrender), so once I get going, you all will just have to take me at my word, lol. I'm planning on a scrappy day tomorrow, so I'll report back!

I can't figure it out either tiffanytwisted. I love to Frankenstein my letters, too, Linda. Gorgeous layouts ellewood! Love reading what each and everyone of you are doing and using! I hope that once things settle down here and we're iced in I'll have time to start scrapping, cause I miss working in my December Documented!

I miss those days too...I remember swapping little swatches of Bazzill to have a 'complete' set of all the colours and textures to make online ordering easier - and being excited when a new colour or a new texture was announced

Yay you, mamakoala! I've finally started cutting all the pictures for DD19's college albums. She has already found a missing chunk of time so I'm going to order those so we can work on placing all the pictures in pockets. Happy to start working on this before she goes back Monday!

WTG, crafty ladies! Linda, you are really burning up the track!
I did nothing crafty today. Prob won't until at least Sunday. By then I should have my December photos printed, so that might spark me to really get going! Still have all my Christmas goodies cluttering up the craftroom waiting to come out and play, so should be able to put a lot of them to use too.

I am so inspired by all of you! You are using that stash and preserving memories. Or you are creating art. It doesn't matter what you do as long as you do, right? You bought the glorious paints or glitter or paper or brads. Now is the time to enjoy them. Cut that paper up. There will be more (see the Scrapbook Update thread for new, beautiful paper coming). There will always be more cardstock. Even if you need just a little bit, use it and enjoy it. Cut titles, scribble journaling because not everyone has beautiful handwriting-heck I can't write anymore hardly. This is what brings us together in sisterhood. We are all scrapbooking artists in our hearts. There is no such thing as a bad scrapbooker or an untalented artist. You are all awesome!!!
