What an interesting topic I don't think I have a favourite word as such, I'll think about it. Least favourite word, I have many but the one that immediately springs to mind is groin. It's just so ugly.

Copious - in nursing school it was always used to describe sputum. It just grosses me out.

I love the sound of the letter 'l', so I love words that are full of them, like lullaby and ululate. My least favourite are moist, smegma and wasp.

I wish the word "crap" was not used so prolifically. I particularly abhor when people refer to any type of items as crap -- for example, a pile of paperwork on the table as in "Please excuse all my crap." Can't we just call it stuff? Or any other more innocuous word.
I also dislike the word "fart." It's crude in my opinion.

I'm guilty of using the word "crap" but that's only because now I have a six year old and I would rather she say that than "sh!t". I have to mentally remind myself every time before I open my mouth around here. Sometimes I say stuff or junk, depending on what it is, LOL. Usually we say "toot" instead of fart most of the time, so at least there's that to redeem us!

My Beloved cannot abide the word 'moist'. To the point of being ridiculous about it.
My favourite word is 'valetudinarian'. I try to drop it into a conversation at least once a day.

I love the word "Shoshone" because it just sounds lovely. Hate the word "cacophony," which is probably ironic.

Some of my favorites are things like BONKERS
I hate stuff like STAYCATION, RIDONKULOUS, I heard SHE-E-O (Like a woman CEO) on a show the other day. REALLY???)
There are SO many more, but they have escaped me. I'll add them when I think of them.

I don't like the word JOURNEY in phrases like "my weightloss journey..." Oh my goodness, I so agree. You'd think we all had our bags packed and were on some endless trip with the amount of "journeys" people claim to be on!

Yes, but in anger! Our youngest is named Shona (pronounced Show-nuh), so maybe I had that in the back of my mind when I named her.

My favorite word to write, in cursive, on a board, is allele. it reminds me of when I was a child and used to pretend I could write by making lots and lots of loops! My least favorite words are f$&k and c&$t. they are crass, they are vulgar and they are way overused. I cringe when I see the words used even in print on this board

I loathe the words pussy and tit. I think they are so vulgar. I mean, I hate them so much so that I want to throw something at someone when they use either of those words. However, I take no issue with the word fart.

I like the words SERENDIPITY and SHENANIGANS. Also HUNKER. I don't like the word JOURNEY in phrases like "my weightloss journey..." I love your new avatar! You look great. Can I just say amen to weight loss "journey". Bugs the crap out of me. I also enjoy the word fart. DH just returned from Abu Dhabi. I found myself trying to throw those words into every conversation because I love saying Abu Dhabi.

My least favorite word is "never". Especially when people use it to say "I would never......". Life has a way of handing you situations you didn't see coming, leading you down paths you didn't expect, and leading to choices you couldn't imagine making previously. So I try to avoid using "never" in that way, and am always distracted by that same thought process when I hear someone else say it. Plus, in a only half-serious superstitious way, I always jokingly say that throwing a statement like that out into the world is like tempting fate. My favorite word is "love". Whether I'm saying it or I'm listening to someone else tell me about someone, something, or someplace that they love, it's a nice word most of the time. (Sure, it can be sad if someone cannot get/go/ or be with those that they love, and it can be used sarcastically, but typically, it's a joyful thing.)

Now my first post was based on the meaning or usage of words. If we're talking about how words sound, then I really like "tintinnabulation". And one of my least favorites would be "phlegm".
