I don't like it. Though I will tolerate a small amount.

I love it. It tastes so bright and fresh. My dh, however, is not a fan.

I've never had too much cilantro in a dish. I LOVE it. It is one of my top 5 smells.

I love, love, love it!
And whoever it was said that it goes bad too quickly, I cut a bit off the stems, then stick the whole bunch in a glass with just enough water to reach the stems. I put it up on my kitchen window sill and it stays good for 10 days - a week.

Mmm! Love My DD used to hate it, but as a vegetarian she is coming around. She is discovering it really adds a little punch to so many meatless dishes. Yay! I can cook with it again when she visits home!

one of the most unpleasant things used (fairly) commonly in cooking.
I have the best burrito joint nearby but my standard order is... all the fixin's, hold the cilantro.
funny, I don't mind it in *some* Thai food, but maybe there are other flavours that combine there that tone it down.

I HATE it! I cannot stand the taste or the smell of cilantro or green bell peppers.

Yes I love cilantro (or coriander as we call it here). And when I say I love it, I mean I LOVE it! It is definitely my favorite herb. And yes, I grow it in my garden so I can have it whenever I want. Feel sorry for the people with the soapy-tasting gene. Oh me too! I'm so glad I don't have the soapy-tasting gene! It was 50/50 as my mum has that sad little gene.

I tried to like it, but the more I ate the worse it tasted. Soap gene for sure.

Not fond of it, but i really don't like parsley either. It all tastes like very strong grass to me.
But I could drowned myself in basil.

My mother couldn't abide it, but I really like it. Most people I know like it, but the people who don't are pretty insistent. Mom said it tasted like soap

I feel it's so mild it's almost tasteless. Plus it goes bad so fast, I've stopped buying it. I feel this way as well. Why even bother with it.

Funny - I didn't even know what it tasted like until I was in my teens because my dad always hated it, so my mom didn't cook with it.
I think it's okay. Not amazing, but not horrible.
