Well, its almost February...and that means its time to either choose to be frozen for the coming month, or start to thaw.
I am choosing to stay frozen, except for my Felicity Jane monthly kit.
Who's going to join me in being frozen in February?

I failed miserably in January, but I'd like to give February a try. I want to redo my scrapbook room in February and I hope that will help. Plus I have a few too many packages beginning to arrive on the 1st.

Yep, there is no such thing as failing in a frozen thread! You encounter bumps, learn about your spending habits during these hiccups and then come to a personal decision whether to return to being frozen or not. That's all. I am joining the Feb Frozen Peas! I plan on staying frozen for the whole month with perhaps the one exception. I might buy a $5 SB kit at SC depending on whether I like at least one of the sides of each paper offered in the Confidant kit. I'm running low on paper (I just counted and only have 11 papers - some of which I've already started using bits of - left in my stash ) and am looking for softer colours to add to what I still have. We'll see.

Yep, I'm in the freezer too this month. Through much of January I have been trying to reorganise my stash to make it more useable, and focus on the things I really love to use that I already have, rather than buying out of habit. My planned spend for Feb is the Feed Your Craft/ Brandi Kincaid kit if it really wows me, and I'm thinking about cancelling my KP sub - I realised this month, having the sub means at release time I can 'justify' more items because I'm already paying shipping ....
Anyhoo, back to trying to make space to actually play with paper and photos rather than having to move everything to make a small clear patch on my big table. I shouldn't be trusted with horizontal surfaces really.

Yep, I'm staying frozen except for my Cocoa Daisy sub. I'll have a lot of scrapping to do once I get back home from my vacation and my plan is to use lots of stuff up!

Yup, I'm trying to stay frozen.
January, I spent $7.50 total. Acceptable to me.
This next month, I'll try to stick to photos and adhesive only. Page protectors if I run out.

I managed to stay frozen during January and will likely stay frozen for February but if I manage to get a few extra bills out of the way I will be buying the cream and sugar line by doodlebug and maybe some pieces of Alex from Bella blvd, I just have not managed to pick up any pieces of that yet.

I'm joining in this month. I may need to buy some page protecters but that is all. I'm stocked up on adhesive. Lately I never seem to have just the right shade of blue or green cardstock, but I'm going to make do and use what I have.

I'm in too...with the planned exception of my monthly kits. The support on these threads is wonderful!

I attempted the January freeze, it didn't go so well. My goal for February is to freeze, and actually use a lot of the supplies I have hoarded (I've been a long time lurker on the boards, and I love how supportive all of you ladies are!)

Welcome, southerndollie! Good to see you post. I'm back for another month of being frozen/chilly. January's spending was reduced dramatically and I realized I didn't miss much by staying out of the stores (both B&M and online). I already know I may need adhesive in February as I depleted most of my stash. I also want 1 12x12 paper pad from M's for older girl cards (it's the one with makeup brushes and nail polish). If I find it, I'm buying it. Other than that, I'm good.

Thanks mom (tee hee) for starting the thread a day early. It's just the extra boost needed to swing right into a new month of being frozen and renew everyone's enthusiasm. Really nice to see some fresh faces in Jessica (who already joined us in the January thread) and southerndollie ! Make yourself comfy, have some biscuits/cookies and prepare yourself for a lot of confessional silliness in this thread. May everyone's frozen hands make some beautiful magic happen in February!

I'm staying frozen. There is absolutely nothing I have to have and honestly I'm tired of wasting money just because something looks cool or pretty.

I'm in for February too. My exception is my monthly kit club. It has been fun using my stash. I have a ton of great stuff just needing to be used. The best thing about is that I no longer even hesitate to cut in to a piece of paper. That has been so freeing!

I'm in, although I do plan to buy some of the new Simple Stories with the rest of my Christmas $$.
I'm debating whether or not to cancel my KP sub. My commitment is up and while I think her stuff is nice and I like to support her, I really don't need more stuff. Decisions!
I quit my AE subs last month and really thought I would miss it, but it actually was very freeing! I didn't realize how much guilt I felt with that $40+ purchase each month.
I'm planning to make this Finish It February to complete some of my unfinished projects and use up some stash.

I did great in January and had no scrapbook spending and very little other spending. I did buy 2 new pair of jeans that were $$$$ but I'm tired of needing to do laundry all the time. My goal is to continue on the freeze for February . I also went though some of my supplies and organized them and my pictures. My goal is to actually complete a couple kits. I have a cocoa vanilla studio kit that is at the very end of its life. I would like to make the last couple of layouts and get that gone. I made a kit for the heynae group that I did 4 layouts from and put to the side. I would like to complete that. Finally I have a goal to do a project life style project for 2017. I want to print my January photos and get going on this. Printing photos is always the issue. I need to edit and print desperately. This is what is stopping me from even starting December daily.

I plan to stay frozen in February, EXCEPT for this Saturday. I am driving up to Crafts Direct in St Cloud, MN with two friends. There is no way I am going to see and handle scrapbook supplies and not buy any. I always have to order online.

I'm not frozen just chillin'. There's a stamp set I've been wanting for a while now so I'll get that. But as far as random spending? I'm going to try hard not to.

I was frozen hard for the majority of January. Somehow in the last week I started to get weak and between 3 purchases I spent about $50. So I'm in for Febuary too but this time with a $20 allowance that I'll keep in cash in my wallet. I decided to tweak my strategy a little.

I'm in; staying frozen! I did well in January. Only used gift cards I got for Christmas. I'm hoping I can stay frozen the entire year, EXCEPT for Scrapbook Expo in August (which I save for the entire year).

Count me in! In January I had to get a couple new pens and adhesive, but other than that and my KP kit, I stayed strong. No extras! Canceled my AE kit. Don't need anything else so I'm not planning to buy anything!

Sometimes the universe steps in and helps us out. I decided to go to my LSS to buy one little thing this morning. I got there 20 minutes past their open time and they weren't open. I just turned around and walked away and took it to mean I did not need to break my freeze.

I thawed a little in January. I pre-ordered a stamp set and bought a couple of sheets of themed paper that I have pics for. And just this weekend I went to a LSS in "the big city". I was pretty restrained though. They had a scrapbook garage sale and I didn't buy any of it. I think I spent around $10 on myself and some more for a crafty gift for someone whose birthday is coming up. I also went to Michaels with a 55% off coupon and didn't buy anything. So even though I wasn't frozen solid, I am pretty pleased with myself. I will remain mostly frozen for February. I need to use up some of my stash. I'm hoping Layout a Day helps with that.

Man, did I ever need to read that, mom. Ordered at little extra at KP's release on impulse. Hoping to make Feb a true freeze save for my sub kit. I've been deleting my digital scrap emails since those are my downfall. Crossing my fingers that my February resolve is better.

Well, I failed in January! I did do much better than I normally would have. I think my goal is to curb my spending but not necessarily be frozen. I canceled hip kits and switched to clique kits, but it means I'll get both in February. Hopefully that will help curb my spending. We won't be going away to anywhere near HL as well which will help. I think I should be able to make it all month with only a few minor purchases, but I won't say I'm frozen. I'll give myself a $40 budget. Nothing more. *ETA* I answered before I went back and read through the posts. coloradocropper, we have the same idea. I even thought about only doing $20. But...I'm in need of some time away from being a mom and wife, so I thought I'd go do lunch out by myself one day or maybe a movie, and when I do, I know I'll stop at the craft stores too. I want to be prepared.
