OK, I bought the stamp set that I mentioned up-thread. I didn't buy the coordinating dies though. So for now I'm back to chillin'.

I thawed and bought some things with the SC coupon code, changed my mind about a few to bring down shipping charges, and spent the minimum in order to get the $10 off. I'm now back in the freezer.

Oh god are we froze for another month??? I am having a *crisis* I can't deal with another month of no pretty stuff I don't need not coming in the mail. I ordered something that isn't shipping until the end of Feb as it may not get to my seller until March. That gets me off the hook as I won't be paying until March, right? I may be ok all month long. I will just buy purses and no planner stuff. To the smacker who felt they needed to call me out, I won't be paying for it until March so really you don't need to worry about my finances. Thanks anyway! It keeps me accountable! What?! Where is someone smacking you? That's so not cool.

Staying frozen over here! I slipped a bit in January and bought some page protectors but that doesn't count, right? No it doesn't. I am sure you don't get all giddy because page protectors are in your bag or in the mail. It's like buying underwear. It's not the same thing like shopping for fun clothes!

It's like buying underwear. It's not the same thing like shopping for fun clothes! I don't know about you guys but I sure love buying a new set of lingerie... Yeah, basics that would stop you from scrapbooking like adhesive, page protectors, black pens, photos and such don't count of course. I'm still going great over here. The really bleh weather we've been having lately isn't pushing me out of the door to go shopping for other things either. I was going to hop over to Zara Home as the winter sales are ending in a couple of weeks (so the usual 60 to 80% marked down prices should start appearing) but decided against it when I woke up to yet another rainy morning. I have no clue what's happening with the weather gods above but they're messing with our usual seasonal forecast. Oh well, we might actually have some proper water reserves when spring rolls around this year, I guess. Yay for the future wine grapes? In other news, I cannot locate my Canon paper cassette/tray thingy to load the 4x6 paper sheets into the printer. AAAAH! Where are you, naughty little cassette?

Today's the 4th and I'm still frozen.
I'm feeling really good about using up so much stuff while working on (and now finished) my DD.
I'm going to keep on scrapping through my pictures, using just what I have on hand.
I will probably need to buy adhesive this month, but I don't count that in my freeze, because I can't scrap without it. I actually need three types: double sided tape, liquid adhesive, and pop dots.

I consider things like adhesive, page protectors, getting photos printed necessities and not included in any freeze unless the freezie states otherwise beforehand.

It's the Hat's Off To You set from Lawn Fawn. I just think critters with hats on are soooo darn cute. Who wouldn't want a birthday card with a moose in a party hat?!? Or a little bird with a St Pat's day hat?!? Plus I don't have a Mortar Board stamp and I'll be making a grad card soon. [that's my justification to myself! Hahaha] Hopefully they're easy to fussy-cut or I'll be buying the dies soon.

My silhouette cameo will not connect. I checked all my plugs. Then my computer gave me the notice that the last USB cable malfunctioned. I gave it a couple of days and tried again. Same error message. Luckily a new cable from amazon was only $6. Still leaving me plenty of the $40 budget.
.....and then...
the Digital Press started running different sets at $1 every day. So far I've spent another $8. I do traditional and digital scrapbooking. Since I prefer traditional, I don't like to spend a lot on digi supplies. Now that I have few new items to play with, it will have to be something really fantastic to get me to spend more money there.

e I think the only thing I like about being frozen is the money still in my bank account. Except for my one fall off the wagon. I have been sooo tempted. But when I don't purchase immediately, have time to think about it, and literally talk myself out of it....I feel so good that I did not spend the money on more stuff. I need to use what I have. I find that putting items in my wish list (instead of my cart) gives me the thrill of shopping, then after a while I realize I don't really need it. That's way better than coming to that realization once it arrives on my doorstep! I do something similar. I add and subtract things constantly from my cart. Then, after a few months, I will really know what I want and hit the checkout button.

I'm back in the freezer. I made a mini road trip with 2 friends to Crafts Direct in St Cloud. I bought maybe ten sheets of paper, a couple packages of Thickers, some sequins, and a couple other random things. I didn't buy any whole collections or paper pads. I need to use what I have, because I've reached the point it's too much for me.

Good news: I'm still hanging in there with this group. I completed my January PL and 12 x 12 scrapping and made 10 Valentine cards. I did buy white cardstock and vellum, but as most of us have agreed, basics are not part of my personal freeze.
Bad news: Our carpet is gross, and we have been saving to replace the flooring early this year. Unfortunately, the original flooring and mastic under the carpet throughout the WHOLE FREAKING HOUSE tested positive for asbestos. Ugh. Sometimes, adulting sucks.

Then I could judge at the end if there is anything I really, really need.

I feel for you. Really! We're remodeling a 100 year old house and it takes longer and costs more than I would have thought. Had we known, I would have torn it down and built my dream house. So I totally get it. My up side is that we're saving for each step and not going into debt to do any of the work.

I am here to repent sort of. I am an emotional shopper. I should have just walked away, went and made something but NOOOO I sat and added/subtracted/added/subtracted etc etc for an HOUR (do you know how much I could have gotten done in that time!??!) for the voids in my stash I talked about. THey are not sufficiently filled (along wiht probably 20.00 of other stuff I didn't need!). I am trying not to beat myself up too much since I have been much more conscientious with my spending overall the past few months but I am upset with myself at the same time. UGH! Poop! TO "repent" to myself I am going to make 10 layouts before the stuff gets here. I hope that makes it better lol

I think you made the right choice.

This is the second cold I have had in a month and well, it has come back full strength. A cold, a hacking cough and now double ear infections.

A 100 year old house? That's amazing. I totally get what you mean about "if I had only known how long this would take and how much it would cost". If I owned a flamethrower... I'm trying to keep a positive attitude and looking forward to beautiful new floors.
