I'm not frozen just chillin'. There's a stamp set I've been wanting for a while now so I'll get that. But as far as random spending? I'm going to try hard not to. e I think the only thing I like about being frozen is the money still in my bank account. Except for my one fall off the wagon. I have been sooo tempted. But when I don't purchase immediately, have time to think about it, and literally talk myself out of it....I feel so good that I did not spend the money on more stuff. I need to use what I have.

I wasn't perfect in January, but I didn't do horribly. Mostly because I had no computer, so I had no photos and no silhouette, so no scrap/no buy. I'm not sure what I'm doing yet for February. I STILL have no computer since Christmas. Mine died, they warrantied it for replacement, the company quit making the replacement, I had to pay over $300 for a screen upgrade to get one they DO still make, and I've had to return 2 of them because of manufacturer screen defects. (I guess you pay extra for defects?) Both of them had incredibly bad backlight bleeds. I stopped in Michael's tonight after driving an hour to return the second one, and I got a tube of washi tape for $9 that I've wanted all month. Really...my only 2 purchases this month were both stress-shopping, but they were items I truly loved. I'm not feeling too bad about my month. I'm just kind of also feeling that I'm going to have to send photos off to print, and I'm close to a serious stress shopping trip soon!
Our LSS is doing their yard sale in March...so I can guarantee I can't go spending free that month!

I'm planning to make this Finish It February to complete some of my unfinished projects and use up some stash. That's a great idea. I'm still working on my DD!

I want to join February, with the exception of adhesive. I just ran out last night.

I am going to try not to buy anything in February.
I just bought a bunch of new supplies, new album and page protectors. So aside from my Freckled Fawn kit I am going to try not to buy anything.
I did make 3 12x12 pages in January as well as working on my December Daily...so I am using stuff, right?
Let's see how this goes...

I am in but only after today! Today I plan on buying a few things (under 20) that I noticed I had gaps for when packing for my previous 3 day crop. They will all go straight into already done up kits that have pictures so that is not bad. I did rather well (didn't officially join in January) for me but not totally frozen. I did curb my spending (in scrapping and other excess) a LOT so that was awesome. I want to stay on that path, however I know if I tell myself NOTHING I will go crazy. So I am going 40 for the whole month and if I don't spend it it will roll over into my savings for Expo in June. Good incentive. I am proud of myself for being more aware of my purchases and really thinking about them so that is a step in the right direction.

I find that putting items in my wish list (instead of my cart) gives me the thrill of shopping, then after a while I realize I don't really need it. That's way better than coming to that realization once it arrives on my doorstep!

crystalb Yes this! I use this trick too - sometimes I can't remember why on earth I put something on my wishlist. Definitely saves me money.

I am using February to catch up on PL and maybe make a mini album of my last beach vacation. I have to finish Oct-December in P. I have the photos printed, just need to get it in my book and journaled.
Usually I run one month behind in PL (so I should be just now ready to do Jan 17) so I am further behind than I like.

Oh god are we froze for another month??? I am having a *crisis* I can't deal with another month of no pretty stuff I don't need not coming in the mail.
I ordered something that isn't shipping until the end of Feb as it may not get to my seller until March. That gets me off the hook as I won't be paying until March, right? I may be ok all month long. I will just buy purses and no planner stuff.

I stopped into M's today. Haven't been there since early January. That pad of paper I wanted for girls cards? It was there. They only had one so I scooped it up at 70% off. And back to the freezer for me.

I made it through Jan without breaking my freeze. I'm going to be chilling this month so some spending is allowed but I have to consider my purchase before buying because it seems like a good deal. My goal is still to reduce my stash by creating pages so I'd like to not bring anything in if I don't love it.

I was away for Jan and not crafting, so being frozen was pretty easy. Now I'm on my way home so the struggle will start! However, I have Dec and Jan kits from Hip Kit to work with, plus two kits I bought on sale from Cocoa Daisy that didn't arrive until after I left so will have plenty of supplies to be going on with. I was frittering away a lot of money last year and really need to curtail my spending.

Well, I spent the rest of my Christmas money preordering from ACOT. That should do it for me until April. Back into the freezer I go!

Planning to stay frozen this month except for printer paper, which I'm almost out of. Other than that, my next planned purchase is Ali's 2017 WITL kit (she said March for that).
My goal for 2017 is to use up as much of my supplies as I can and minimize new purchases. We'll likely move a long distance in 2 years, and I want to downsize my stash before then, so unless I'm sure I'll use it, I will try to resist purchasing it.

I thawed today. Spent $23 dollars on paper at AC Moore. I had to take my car to the dealership that's about 1 hour away from my home and they have an AC Moore close by. I could not pass up the oppurtunity to buy some paper in person since 99% of my scrap shopping is on-line. I'm hopping back in the freezer now.

I'm in for the most part this month. I think I'll give myself about $20-30 to spend. I think that's reasonable and most (if not all) will go to a new 12x12 album for a new project anyway.
Last month my total was under $5 ... "had" to get new washi tape on Jan 30th! Almost made it the whole month!
