Oh how frightening for her, you and your DH. Wow! Did they do any testing for Marfan's syndrome, or related conditions? Not that I am aware of. She did have a kidney ultrasound and a brain mri to rule out fibromuscular dysplasia. She does not have that.

How frightening. We will keep Kaitlyn (& you) in our prayers. Hopefully we will have a nice summer and she can enjoy the sun. Is she a senior this year?

Oh wow, how terrifying! I'm so glad to read that she is on the road to recovery now. Hopefully age is on her side, and that her healing is quick, and without setbacks. I'm sure it will be difficult for her to slow down and take it easy, as it sounds like she is quite an active teen. Hugs to you all!

What a difficult thing for anyone, let alone a 17-year-old to deal with! Prayers for her health, both physical and mental, and your family's as well, as you all learn how life will work from now on.

Holy cow - how frightening! So thankful she contacted you and you got her to medical help so quickly.
I hope her recovery is boringly uneventful and she can get back to more of a typical teenager life pretty quickly. And then you can start to breathe easier again. That kind of stuff is hard on a mama.

I'm so sorry - that is close to a parent's worst nightmare! I'm so glad she survived and is being treated, and I hope she can make a full recovery. Being restricted as to what she can do is obviously going to be very frustrating for her... who wouldn't be frustrated. And I know, as a mom, you are prob. hurting more than she is. Love, good wishes, positive thoughts and hugs to you, your daughter and your entire family! xo

That's a horrific experience for all of the family - well done in being so calming and in control (although I am sure you didn't feel that way). I am glad that your daughter is recovering well and send best wishes for her moving forward.
