A side comment: I would LOVE to read a transcript of what he said in the one on one conversation with any other world leader--Merkel or Trudeau just for starters. And after I read that, I'd love to be a fly on the wall to hear the private reaction from either of those leaders. I have read that the Queen is a great impersonator of those world leaders who have visited her. Aw, I'd sure like to be in her private apartment and hear her once he leaves.
I remain deeply concerned for the future of the U.S.

You may not remember, but I certainly do. Not a Trump supporter here, but even if I were, there is no way in the world that I would come on this thread to voice that opinion. Your memory is better than mine. Who hairflipped over the anti-Obama posts?

I'm not sure where this became about Trump supporters. I, personally may use negative adjectives to describe Trump himself, but never about Trump supporters. We all supported and voted for candidates for various reasons. I don't think it is necessary to belittle anyone for their choice. Sometimes we don't always agree with our candidate a hundred percent of the time and that is ok, too.
This post was about an interview Trump did with a reporter. It is exactly Trumps words. There are no opinions, anything fake or slanted one way or the other by the author of the article. It was simply Trump's own words, word for word. Many have found the content of the interview to be concerning. It is not a Republican/ Democrate thing or a left/right thing. It is about how a person responded to questions asked. This person could be any party, conservative or liberal and to me it is concerning. If Trump were found to unable to serve the Republicans will still be in power, that is not what this is about.
This is not about Hillary or Obama. This is not about the old board or comments from the last 8 years. This is not about Trump's politics, it is about his health. It is nothing he can control or he caused. If the fear is misguided that would be a great thing for our country. Republicans and Democrates alike are at risk if Trump is impaired.

My belief is that the GOP will not do anything (they aren't forced to do) to remove Trump until AFTER they have rammed through all the GOP platform policies they can. I do not feel they care one whit about individuals or the environment, so they'll make hay while the sun shines (pass what they can) while they have a moron, but a Rep moron, in the Oval Office.
Pence is the experienced conservative politician they want -- eventually -- but they'll let Trump go down as the one who was at the helm when unpopular things like a border wall, stripped-down healthcare, and neutered environmental policies come to pass.
Then they will act aghast, wash their hands of Trump, and let Pence step in to pull the country from the Trump Swamp. POTUS Pence becomes a savior.

I wish the reporter had been a little more aggressive, although it's hard to pin someone down who can't follow his own train of thought.

I've read the transcript (oh boy), but wanted to see the video. Anyone find it? Anyone? Why are there only transcripts available? What happened to the video?

I don't believe there was a video, only audio. The interview was conducted by AP White House correspondent, Julie Pace, and was published on Sunday.

I don't think the interview was video recorded. The Associated Press primarily provides print stories and the audio recording is essentially the reporter's raw notes of the interview. Releasing the transcript provides an unfiltered story without interpretation/bias from the reporter writing a story about the interview. SaveSave

I'm sure it wasn't released - only the transcript. SaveSaveI can't help but wonder why only the transcript was released. TBH, I can't imagine the race to fill in all the "unintelligible" bits and different interpretations if it was released. I think this is standard operating procedure for AP and there is nothing nefarious about it. I haven't heard anything from the WH complaining that the transcript is inaccurate. SaveSave

This is the kind of bullshit response you get from certain people when you think for yourself, ask questions, give a different point of view and don't jump right on the bandwagon. This is the kind of good point you get from having a conversation: To be honest, the comment from inkedup is an in line response with how YOU have operated here. Your past precedes you and it's not the first time it's been mentioned after you've asked something in a particular way, that others are waiting for the "trap/trick question" or "other shoe to drop" or are waiting for the next post from you saying how wrong or Obama did it comparison. So, in a nutshell, it's not so much a bullshit response, just one aligned with your m.o.
