I'm so upset Upset to the point of crying seriously Over a key chain I'm Pretty sure they think I'm completely insane at the grocery store because I tearfully went in looking for my key chain and gave them my phone number if it turns up. Heck I said I'd pay a reward. They looked at me like WTF is this woman in tears over a key chain And I've only had it a week! Why you ask? DS made it for me and it was perfect - perfect size, nice smooth oval, beautiful walnut. And it's gone - I'm so sad - I have no idea how it came off my wallet- I hope whom ever found it treasures it.

Oh man, that sucks donkey balls. I sure hope someone finds it and turns it in. I lost one of my inexpensive but beautiful earrings the first time that I wore them. That was thirty years ago and I still feel sick at my stomach when I think about it.

I'm sorry you lost something that was so meaningful to you. I hope someone turns it in and make sure you followup with the store as well.

I'm sorry. I hope it turns up. I think most of us have an item or two, that while it may seem insignificant to others, really means the world to us. Hugs!

Have you checked the corners of your purse thoroughly? One of my decorative things came off my keys recently, and I actually didn't realize it until I was cleaning it out and found it there.
I hope it turns up!

Aww, I hope you get it back.
I have renewed faith in humanity after my sister-in-law dropped a $100 bill at a grocery store last month and someone picked it up and turned it in to customer service!

Sometimes, small gifts like those capture the biggest pieces of our hearts. I'm so sorry the key chain is lost, but hope it will turn up.
If it makes you feel any better, I'll share a similar story from my life. When I was in first grade, my family went to our city's major arts festival. I was thrilled to find activities for kids, one of which was making a ring out of telephone wire, which was bright, happy and multicolored. I'm sure it was the ugliest thing on the planet, but I was so proud of that ring. I think I accidentally placed it on my lunch tray at school the next day and threw it away. I was so terribly upset, and I'll never forget the lunchroom teacher belittling my loss. It's been a LOT of years since I was in first grade, but it's always stuck with me. Again, it's the little things.

Honestly, a gift that personal is not something I would consider "first world problem". Your son made it for you, I think anyone (no matter what station in life) would be upset and rightly so.
I hope it finds its way back to you.

I am so sorry. Personally I think it is not a first world problem. Something your DS made. I hope you find it and find it soon.

Try posting in Craigslist or on a bulletin board at your local store. People often post in Kijiji (which is like Craigslist) in the lost and found area.

It had sentimental value, of course you are upset. I know I would be! I hope it is found by someone honest and you get it back.

I totally get it.
I had a breakdown last year over my hydrangea being ripped out and killed while I was at work last year. I was literally in tears demanding the landscaper give me my plant back. It was too late and it was totally dead. He thought I was insane.

You can't help what your heart chooses to love. However insignificant it seems to someone else, it can mean the world to you. I hope you find it.

Nothing wrong with being upset over something, however small or of little monetary value it is. It meant everything to you because of the sentimental value attached to it. I would be upset too.
I hope it turns up somehow for you.
