People, you aren't looking at the upside of this. She can use every goofy (or cool) icon/sticker on her sticker sheets. That is a lot of "stuff" to take in. I mean all she is missing is a taco. Pretty sure there is a tiger in the treehouse.

I don't participate in or follow anyone on social media primarily due to the artificialness of the posts (& I'm not referring to the popsicle flavors ). What is the giant watermelon? It's not a flavor in the (empty) box that just happens to be conspicuously plopped in the center of the photo. Perhaps a hint at the food item that will be featured in her next line!

So she's making a list of things for me to not buy? If this is how businesses feel like advertising, thinking that people are stupid and will buy things just because others do, then it's not a company I want to support. Although, DD coffee cake muffins are some of the things on this Earth.
I mean, what happened to saying that your product is good and sticking with that? Quality, not who is using/eating/buying it in the 'celebrity' world is what appeals to me!!

Just another sellout. Who are the 804 sheep who liked it? They're the reason the influencer crap like this is growing instead of being laughed out of existence. I think they are all Tracie's girls. Just in case Amy is available for a podcast. Damn! That right there is some funny stuff! 😊

Who are the genuine scrapbookers who put their name on scrapbook collections these days? Shimelle, Paige Evans and...? Gah, it drives me nuts. How did (maybe still does) Amy Tan ever score clients for whom she made scrapbooks? How is this possible? She's an ex-crappy scrapper (seriously, have you seen her DD album collection?). While I'm not crazy about Shimelle's overall style, she's got amazing technique and is a great teacher. Paige Evans is too much of a colour explosion gal for me (and there's the plagiarism case) but she knows how to do detail like few other professional scrappy folks and has actual album-making skills. A brand has to feel and come across as authentic. If not, you've got a time bomb on your hands and your 15 minutes of fame are counted. I don't get how these folks can be unaware of the amount of celebrities that have been hauled over to the hall of former fame, whether in the social media world or Hollywood. Skellinton Right? It's such an amateur/low budget photo for a professional influencer... myboysnme *sweet Southern Tracie voice* "And tonight, we have Amy Tangerine on the show to tell us how to Live Inspired by Dunkin' Donuts, Popsicle, Artnaturals, Step2, Dove and anyone else willing to mail a cheque."

I unfollowed Dear Lizzy when every other post of hers started to be an ad... or sorry, a "sponsored" post. Then I unfollowed that other lady with all the kids, Maggie Holmes (?), and now I've unfollowed Amy because these partnership posts are f*cking insane. None of them are scrapbookers to me anymore. I'll happily find inspiration from ladies who actually have a passion for paper crafting. Not that any of the women mentioned above care about what we think, they're laughing all the way to the sell-out bank.

Those aren't even the best flavors of Popsicle brand popsicles. Now, I am just wondering what I am missing!?! Am I buying the wrong popsicles? But seriously I was done after all the Duncan Donuts posts. Grape's okay, but raspberry is my favorite. And then I went to look them up on the website and now I kinda want to find these rainbow ones because they all sound good.

You know, people who actually scrap?!?!?!?!??!!? I look in the galleries and posts here and I see astoundingly lovely layouts. And yet AC sticks w/women who are way more about the "influencing" than the scrapping (except, Shimelle)

I haven't ever followed any scrapbookers on social media except for Shimelle. If I followed Amy Tan and saw this I'd immediately unfollow. She isn't even trying to hide the fact that it's an advertisement. Ugh. I liked her first couple lines but the last two or three have been huge flops for me anyway.

I really feel sorry for these scrap stars children. I probably have a more anger at this than most since I was one of those children.
Why does Amy Tangerine think she is so famous? Really I am not going to run out and buy food items because some brunette lady I couldn't pick out from a line up is shilling. I think if Jennifer Garner, Jessica Alba, Reese Witherspoon did social media posts like this then it is more relatable and a lot more revenue would be garnered from both sides. I really don't get why these women like Dear Lizzy & Amy Tangerine think they are celebrities? It is insulting to celebrities. Just because you have an Instagram account and you pick out some pretty die cuts so they can be mass produced does not make you a celebrity.

In the same spirit, the "I am a star" AT came to teach a class here a couple of years back. She was sweet and inclusive but her mini book project was super-simple and presented zero challenges to a group of mainly advanced, technique hungry scrappers. She finished at least half an hour early then circulated amongst the group for photographs and autographs, as you do

Here's a prediction. Most of the current scrap celebs' kids are young at present. It's all fun and games and photo shoots (looking at you Dear Lizzy) and popsicles and professional-looking ads masquerading as family pix. But they are coming of age in the social media time - unlike the grown-children of earlier scrap celebs. And with moms who are immersed in the presentation of "image". Let's check in, in about 10 years, as they hit the narcissistic teen years w/moms who've taught them that much of their presented lives are about show and image over reality and substance. I don't think it's going to be pretty. My youngest just turned 13, started her period and thinks her monthly showers are optional. I absolutely cannot relate to these people posing as celebs. We're in a super bad place right now. My middle daughter didn't cause any issues but my oldest one did. So now, at present, this momma ain't feeling the popsicles and cute bathing suits and fun summer crap. I'm more of "take your shower and eat the damn food I slave to make". Where is my sticker sheet for that? I want to "like" your post twice.

She finished at least half an hour early then circulated amongst the group for photographs and autographs, as you do I took a class with her at She Loves Color last year and felt it was a little disorganized and lacked content. We had to scraplift two of her pages where the only new technique was using her paint resist coasters. There was supposed to be a section about traveler's notebooks but she never got to it other than "come look at my example". She was sweet as pie but other than AT products, I didn't get anything from it at all. And I completely agree with all the posts about how ridiculous the product placement is. If she stayed on brand, I could respect it but it seems she'll post & tag just about anything so it comes off pretty insincere.

I would say that Ali Edwards is still pretty genuine, but other than that no other names come to mind. I have never really been a fan of Shimelle's style, but she seems authentic and used to share A TON of content.
I never understood the idea of paying Amy Tan to make a scrapbook for you. Honestly, I don't understand paying others to make a scrapbook for you... what makes a scrapbook valuable to me is the personalized touch I get from making it myself. But even if you did want to pay someone to make one for you, I definitely don't see her style as anything special... there are SO MANY scrapbookers out there whose work I think is way more inspiring. Amy Tan has designed cute products in the past though... she was an artist/graphic designer, but not a scrapbooker. At least in my opinion...
And about the Tracie/Amy show...

Paige Taylor Evans liked it, she is now probably trying to get in on that action. Now that they're moving back to the US, somebody's going to have to pay for the flights to go finish their list of European cities to visit! https://www.instagram.com/p/BW2weeuheWe

The thing that kills me about the photo is it's popsicles. A brand around for several years. I remember them from my childhood. It's just based on my own life of living in the country on a dead end road. Looking at her instagram, I think it would need to be something like all natural popsicles infused with something fancy and organic.

I just got an email from my favourite UK scrapbooky supplier advertising a day workshop within a stone's throw of my home in October! Great excitement....until I read further to find the "teacher" (I use the word with caution) is none other than Amy Tangerine. I had to search for the price - £169 if I hurry and book within the next week, £179 thereafter. I wonder if the "complimentary table gifts" will include popsicles/ice pops?

I attended a travelers notebook workshop by Amy last summer, and it was a lot of fun. She has a distinct style and point of view, totally different from my own, but genuinely encouraged everyone to do their own thing and be creative. She gave great advice on starting points for ideas and how to use the different supplies that were available. There was a nice jam-packed goodie bag that I've used quite a bit since. While I can't claim to know her personally, she is very generous, adorable and kind in person. It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. I can see why the "influencer" situation posts seem over the top to some, but I'm still a fan. I'm off to buy some popsicles...

Looking at her instagram, I think it would need to be something like all natural popsicles infused with something fancy and organic. Right?! I felt the same way about the Dunkin Donuts ads. That didn't feel "on brand" for her at all (unless I'm totally misunderstanding their brand or hers). I would have associated her with something fancier or hipster-er >.< ...But DD, Popsicles, and now Good Humor ice cream? I'm quite surprised that she's on their radar but I guess it's all about 100K followers. It just feels like she'll shill for anyone, which turns me off way more than someone promoting the new and interesting brands they truly love and use. I can't really blame her for taking the money, but I'm not interested in seeing it.
