I'm seriously impressed she can pull off draw string jean shorts. She looks good! I'd make it on the people of Wal-Mart website if I wore those.

That Good Humor instagram picture falls into the WTH catagory. And what is that thing on the right supposed to be? At first glance I thought it was made of pink and white pill capsules. Maybe it's because I work in healthcare and it's late and I'm tired.

That makes sense and perfectly in line with her memory keeping brand and use of travelers notebooks!

Ali Edward's still a proper "scrap star" but she's shilling NSBR stuff too. Is this the right place to post those NSBR "partnerships" (nah, you just got a freebie or paid to promote something based on your social media numbers)? Prescription sunglasses, y'all. For those times when you want to scrapbook in the bright sun?

why does spelling something wrong (PrYnt) make it of-the-moment and hipsterish?

Prynt just looks stupid and makes no sense. You're prying into a print? Pry has an invasive, negative connotation. Odd choice IMO.

I just got an email from my favourite UK scrapbooky supplier advertising a day workshop within a stone's throw of my home in October! Great excitement....until I read further to find the "teacher" (I use the word with caution) is none other than Amy Tangerine. I had to search for the price - £169 if I hurry and book within the next week, £179 thereafter. I wonder if the "complimentary table gifts" will include popsicles/ice pops? [br These folks have made exciting lives by crafting what they love. I admit part of me is envious and the other part wonders why I spent a few years paying them.

I know a lot of it is fluff. I admit I am always wondering why I ever bought anything from them. I can say with certainty their oversharing on social media is making it really easy for me not to buy from them. I actually pretty thankful. I don't want to convey that as mean but I always wondered in the days before social media what kind of person I could be buying things from. Social media makes it easier for me to pick & choose who I want to give my money too.

Ahem...Ali's jumping on the tank/shirt train too it sounds like. Oi. I do like the saying. Question for the peas, do you wear these type of tees and tanks? I admit to being a fashion failure (mostly solid color tees and jeans). I guess I like to blend in and not stand out, so I don't want people reading my chest.

I am like you refugeepea, but I think I would like that tank due to the saying...even if I just wear it at home w/ my yoga pants that never do yoga

No, I hardly wear tanks unless I am wearing another shirt. I am long limb. I would look like a dork. I am wondering this too about the wording. Isn't it a golden fashion rule after 40 you donate your word t-shirts. I am not being an ageist. I donated all my t-shirts with wording when I hit 40. I bought one recently because it was a great saying that fit me. I did feel stupid and immature when I tried it on. I took it back. I like Ali. I know she is promoting a barre class and not dance class. If my understanding is correct barre class is about stretching and low level workout. Most ballerina's strive for perfection and progress. I get what she is trying to say. I don't know working out I go for perfection and progress. I don't feel like I worked out unless I do.

This is one of the reasons I left the paper publishing world. These ladies may be talented scrappers but the over the top poses are gag worthy. I love Ali Edwards though.
I get wanting to make money, and if I was approached to shill product and being paid, I would do the same thing. However, I think I'd make it less obvious and more realistic. How about the kids just EATING the popsicles? There's a novel idea.

Isn't it a golden fashion rule after 40 you donate your word t-shirts. Nope. There are no "golden fashion rules" for age, gender, or size. If a 90 year old wants to wear a teeshirt that says Sassy Since Birth, then who cares? If someone judges her or doesn't think she should be wearing a "word t-shirt" at her age, then that's their problem, not hers. I think Ali's tanks are cute. I might even pick up one or two for my yoga. And I'm 43. 😂 ETA: Oops. I'm not 43. I'm 41. Lol.

Found it yesterday at a sale.

I'm 51 and have no problem with shirts with words on them. Of course, I have Zelda, Pokemon, and Star Wars t-shirts, so I'm probably not who you want to go to for fashion advice.
I don't understand putting limits on yourself. I'm certainly not going to give up fun things because of someone else's perception of me.

The barre class i took was way more than stretching. It was mostly small isolated movements that kick your butt! Low impact but not an easy breezy stretching workout.

Question for the peas, do you wear these type of tees and tanks? No, I don't. These tanks Ali's going to sell to expand her brand into wellness do not equate wellness in my book. They're very likely a viscose (rayon)-based material from the way they drape. Viscose/rayon is a fabric that is considered water-repellent and thus on the banned list for working out and any type of activity/weather which will lead to some sweating. Big no-no for sports thus. I wear sports gear for working out. I check labels to make sure the material (and technology) is appropriate for the type of activity I'm purchasing it for. I don't care about the colour and/or print much as long as it's not bold and out there. When relaxing at home, I try to wear skin-friendly natural materials that are durable like simple cotton and merino wool. So, again, Ali's tanks will very likely not pass the test. Finally, I don't really care for clothes with sayings (on me). I have a couple T-shirts but otherwise, I'm just not that into them. Which is reason number 3 why I wouldn't feel the need to hit the "buy" button. But eh, she'll have plenty of customers wanting one so my skeptical eye shouldn't cause her wellness brand figures much trouble.

If I did (and I don't because bra showing isn't my thing) I would buy it at Walmart as an impulse buy or off the clearance rack. I wouldn't pay $15 or whatever dollars to get an ali tank top. My shirts all come from Walmart or J.C. Penney off clearance racks because I'm a tightwad when it comes to clothing.

And tbh I don't think these subscriptiontshirt/tanks are selling as much as we think they are. I know Lula roe hit it big with internet based sales tactics but then their product didn't hold up and cheaper knock offs became available (hello Walmart $5 leggings) so I think the trend of buying clothing online is fading.
But inked brands doesn't know how to do anything but sell subscriptions. They should really just bring back scrapbook magazines--what a novel concept that would be. Because are more people really subscribing to tshirt subscriptions versus magazine subscriptions?!?!
