I saw this on Facebook. I only got 17 points. I have two Master's degrees including one that's an MS but the "S" isn't in one of the preferred categories. Guess I can't stay.

I got 22 points. I do wonder how many points you get for being a Nobel Laureate or an Olympian.

Nope. Barely registered on the scale.
And what the hell , Nobel winners? Olympic winners? Billions to invest?

I do not understand the Olympic medal question especially considering how quick you can age out of most sports. You would not be a desirable athlete considering how it's become a mostly elite system in the U.S. and incredibly difficult to make it to the top level.

Bwahaha! I got 26. I have a Master's, but not in the right area. I don't have enough money to invest in a business venture. Don't talk to me about the age requirement! And who cares if you were Olympian?! I mean, it is a great accomplishment but it doesn't mean you will make a good citizen!

I only got a 20-- my retirement savings is way under their threshold of $1.35 million, and I never won an Olympic medal.
(how ridiculous is THAT, anyway? How many Nobel Laureates or Olympic medalists are wanting to come here?!?)
ETA: their wage earnings threshold is ridiculous, too, in my opinion. Unless you have a salary offer over $77,900, you get ZERO points for your job- same as if you had no job offer at all.

Nope, too old and my masters degree is in English. The really sad thing is that all the foreign hires my college has made ( and wants to make) would not qualify because our starting salary, even with a PhD is only $45000 and that's with 12 years of teaching experience.

I wonder if it applies if they are here already & need to renew? If so DS's school could loose a large portion of their staff.

I would qualify with 39 points, most of which came from my education and salary. I'm a tad short with the 1.35 million to invest and having earned an Olympic medal....
I'd love to see how Congress and our President would score.

None of our foreign hires, even the one who was recently hired as interim department manager would get anywhere close to the salary range needed to get their scores over 30.

Ha, guess I'll be shipping back to my great grandparent's homeland of Germany.
Seriously, would trump even pass. He's hardly qualified in English. And he's the furthest from a Olympian or Nobel Prize winner than I've ever seen.

You would not be a desirable athlete considering how it's become a mostly elite system in the U.S. and incredibly difficult to make it to the top level. That is an interesting one because the goal isn't to stack the US Olympic team. American citizens have been fast-tracked to get citizenship in other countries to compete on their Olympic teams (Romanian gymnasts, etc.). But this is for Permanent Resident status, so still have to wait 5 years after getting that to apply for citizenship. For many Olympians, that would age them out of their sport. I took the quiz based on DH's stats when we applied for our PR status and he only scored a 25.
