JaneB I got your PM! Check your inbox to see whether my reply has made it to you. I've got a funny story for my album today about a beheaded ornament. Oh dear. I was just trying not to burst out laughing on the phone with the Disney Store customer service. At work. I was holding it in, still holding it in and then *boom* it just came out. Straight from the bottom of the belly. The employee I was talking to burst out laughing too. Marie-Antoinette jokes were made and I literally had tears coming down my cheeks. "It's a different kind of Disney magic." Can't wait for this day to be over and to have my breeeeaaaaak! Christmas vacay, land of the free (and of finally catching up on DD). I hope everyone's enjoying their DD adventure no matter how far behind or on schedule you are! @nancydrew Go on, you're a big girl. MAKE A MESS! I dare ya...

So I have made a lot of progress, but I'm getting a little discouraged. I have days 1-11 and 13-17 done. Day 12 was reserved for work holiday parties... I attended two (one of the 12th and one on the 14th), but I didn't take any photos at either. At the one of the 12th we had a professional photographer and I got a photo taken with the Governor and one of my good friends (I work for state government) and was so excited to use that one and when the professional photographer shared the photos online mine isn't there! So now I have this awkward empty page and no photos to include. It just doesn't seem like a good story without photos and I'm just upset my photo is missing
And on top of all of that, my brand new Epson photo printer that can print 12x12 and was crazy expensive isn't working right. It can print great quality when it actually prints, but it keeps losing connection with my computer so that I have to reinstall drivers literally every time I want to use it. I'm so frustrated because it was $400 and it is literally brand new, I shouldn't be having these issues!!

lasteve1 call Epson they should be able to help you! Is there a way that you can contact someone about your missing photo? Hope that it works out even if you just journal on that page. My DD is completed up to day 8 so I'm only a little bit behind but its all good. I've got the photos taken, just not printed out so I plan on catching up after boxing day probably. Still haven't decided if I'm going to go past the 26th or not. Usually I stop there but we'll see how I feel. I know that I have one day that I didn't take a single picture so I think that I'll throw in my standard Christmas tree photo and call it good.

I may be banished from the pod. I haven't even started on my DD. I do have everything documented up until this week and intend to print off all 80 pictures from our trip. I really want to get this done. I may take a more casual approach, but I need to get in gear. Oh and I haven't finished shopping.

It's just life for a lot of people and you and I are two of them LOL. I have started my DD and have gotten a decent part of it done but I definitely do not have time to work on it daily. Life seems to have taken a poop the last couple weeks and I am just not in a good frame of mind.

The month started off so calmly, and here it is 2 days to go, no baking done, all my wrapping left to do, no December photos printed.
The good news is my kids are home and we've been on the go. Scrappy fun will just have to wait until the family fun is over.

lasteve1 I would definitely try to get that missing photo if you can - maybe it was just a mistake that it didn't get shared, or maybe the photographer wasn't happy with how it turned out (maybe if it is the latter they'll let you have a copy). But if the photo is missing I would crate some kind of background to write that story onto - maybe a low opacity photo from the event, or a photo of someone else at the event with a cut out of your face over theirs, or maybe a line drawing of how the photo would have looked. Something is better than nothing and no matter what you put in there you'll probably be thinking about that missing photo anyway, so I would run with it, try to have fun with it. Hopefully you can figure something out. Hope you can get help with the printer too. You shouldn't be having so much trouble with a brand new printer.

I ordered my pictures through yesterday through nations photo lab. They are showing up next week. My goal is to hopefully get a big chunk done while I’m off work next week and my kids are in daycare.

I just received some prints, so I have December 13 to 21st to "catch up" on. It's also the final week of my PL! (I'll finish out with 23rd until 31st)

I may take a more casual approach, but I need to get in gear. I'm only just in front of you. I think I have three or maybe four days finished. Like you I have all the journaling written (except for yesterday). I've printed some of the photos I know I want to include and have just started sticking them into the album. We had our family celebration yesterday due to work commitments for one of our attendees so today is a very quiet stay at home and play kind of day.

Well, I made a good start, and have days 1-5 done, but stalled out. I do have pics for most of the days up until today, so that will help. Will try and catch up this week when I am off.

I pretty happy with my progress. Finished up to day nineteen and some pics and embellishment to varying degrees after that. Considering I moved house last week, not a bad effort! It's the foundation pages that have kept me on track. I also had a list of prompts to help me plan ahead of time and I made a very small kit which I basically set up in the new place even before I unpacked the coffee and toilet paper! The only downside for me is that I'm still waiting for my kit from Shimelle It didn't even ship until November 29th and has to travel to Australia! Thank goodness I had a Wilna Furstenburg class, enough stash and the Paislee Press mini kit to go on with.

I finally have a little time to sit down today and do some work on my Christmas Journal after the crazy few days of gatherings. How is everyone doing? Hope you took a lot of lovely pictures but not so many that it'll take days to go through them all to find the good ones

I just need to type up my journaling from the 24th and 25th and I'm done. I'll do it later this morning after I finish some work in the garden - pruning the wisteria and then some weeding.

I have one page where I need photos from the work Christmas party and then the last three days have nothing done on them yet but other than that I'm about as complete as I can be. My FJ order still hasn't arrived (but can finally be claimed as "lost") so I have quite a few post it notes and gaps to fill in once my replacement order gets here.
I'm hoping to work on the last three days this weekend so I can get it finished before New Year.

I am done. I'll have some finishing touches to add once my missing order gets here but aside from that everything is complete. I've packed away my supplies except for a few things I think I'll need to finish the last few clusters and am looking forward to moving onto other projects.

I'm done with my Advent project and I love how it turned out. I did it in a Travelers' Notebook insert and I used the Illustrated Faith Advent kit from last year as a jumping off point because I got it super on sale back in August or so. I'd post pics, but I can't ever seem to get it to work right.

I have all the photos printed and placed, but have to finish out 21st-25th, then I'll tie it up with a ribbon and put it on the shelf. Whew. Ready to get back into PL and school albums only.

Is everyone done with their DD, or just done with talking about their DD?!
I just finished my Christmas Journal today, right in time for the 12 days of Christmas to wrap up tomorrow. It's not exactly everything I imagined, but it's pretty darn good and it's DONE ( and full, I might add). I ran out of stories and pages on Jan 2 when my nephew went home. That works for me. I always consider the New Year's days to be part of the Christmas season. The tree can come down tomorrow.
I'm going to write Future Jo some advice for next year before I pack this thing away completely. There were so many things that were a PITA when it came to getting this thing done. I really need to work on better editing and make the printing process easier - standard photo sizes only. I did well at using my die cuts and not hoarding but I'm not sure that my journaling turned out so well (which is not really ideal for a Christmas Journal). But luckily there will be Christmas again next year.
Phew! Now I can get on with everything else!

Phew. Can I say a (quiet) ta-dah!! So glad to put it all away again, even though I love it whilst it lasts. www.elegantsufficiency.org/blog/2018/1/11/enough-technologyjoblackford I too am writing notes to myself (in fact, that's really why I blogged about it), in particular about my choice of papers! I didn't journal very much this year and wish I'd done more. I like your remark that we'll get another go at it next....ermmm...this year, though

I like your remark that we'll get another go at it next....ermmm...this year, though haha! yes, this year too. Your album looks lovely! I like the color scheme. I always like to save some stamps, but ran out of space this year. A friend gave me a small selection of vintage Xmas stamps in a little glassine envelope so I put the new stamps in there too, but I don't think there's any space for them in my journal. They're probably going to live in my Xmas supplies box (along with my list of stuff I should've added to the journal but ran out of space for). I know what you mean about backing yourself into a bit of a corner with paper and size choices. Some nice striped or gridded tone on tone paper that you can journal on would be a welcome addition to every collection. I've popped notes to myself into a pocket in this year's journal and I'm hoping I remember to take it out and look at it before I commit to anything this year. But, realistically, once all the papers and products get released I'll probably make decisions without referring back. Hopefully the lessons learnt went into my brain. (I just went back and added the comment above about the stamps and realized where I need to stash my note to myself - in the box of supplies! Duh!)
