I loved my UD Naked Smoky palette, but after trying to wear most of the shades 4-5 times I had to give it to my DD. UD did refund my money. After a few minutes, the shadow would work its way into my eye and adhere to my contact. I can't wear their pencil eyeliners, either- does the same thing. No problems with any other brands. Never tried Tarte, but I really like the mermaid palette. You can return at Sephora, right?

So if I signed in an alternate ID and BFF wouldn't know who it was I could sneak in here and say I ordered 6 Jouer liquid liptsicks and I quite like them! They dry very matte, no transfer and the colour lasts well. Yay. They feel really good on my lips. I would give them an 8.5/10 and I have never had a perfect 10 so far. But you can never sneak things past me.

I never did give a review of Thrive Causemetics mascara. I really like it! It doesn’t smear under my eyes, comes off easily, and makes my lashes look much longer. That’s a win in my book!

I've been using Doucce Punk Volume mascara that I got in either Birchbox or Ipsy and I really like it.

It's ok I was her maid of honour at her wedding in November and I know all the dirt on her too if she talks. It's good, too!

I got the Mermaid palette from Tarte today. It is pretty nice! I hope the shadows adhere nicely. I thought it was mid-priced compared to the other Tarte palettes I have. The colours are very nice and I am impressed.
Today there was damage on the debit card. Sephora and The Bay. It all just sort of "happened" and can't be "explained".
The Jouer liquid lipsticks are nice, though!

Shall we talk about being talked into things?

No, we won't bring that up. It has happened a few times now. I am persuasive and you are convinced. It happened what can I say. I tried to try the Unicorn line for you today and we won't be getting it. I mean it was for science and all! I wanted to see if everything smelled as good as the vloggers said it did. Olfactory is science right there!

Shall we talk about being talked into things? I am now convinced that I need the Tartlette In Bloom palette, thanks to Delta Dawn. lol I had been looking at it but thought it was too warm and the colors wouldn't be good, but just saw some tutorials and now I want it. If I keep buying palettes I will need to find a different place to store them. They are taking up my whole drawer.

She is just mad because she didn't do planning as a hobby nor wasn't into makeup until I convinced her she needed to be and is now Rouge. It happens what can I say? Subliminal messaging.
I love the Tartelette in Bloom a lot and find the palette I got to have very clingy shadows. That means they are stuck on your eyelid without any movement. I really like it a lot. The other one by Tarte Rainforest of the Sea something is so very pretty but the colours don't adhere well. I will try spraying my brush and see if that helps.

I have been talked into a number of things. But you can't deny planning and makeup. I mean you are Rouge status, too. That wasn't all for the kids...

I got Hangover Rx primer and while I like it I am not that impressed with it. I also got Urban Decay All Nighter concealer and I hate it. It took off all my foundation when I tried to blend it in and it is going back. Really disappointed!

Have any of you used Neutrogena HydroBoost moisturizer? I had a sample of it that I really liked, and I'd like to hear more real-person reviews before I go spending that much money on it.
Also, silly question -- what is a serum and why is it important? Is it in lieu of moisturizer or in addition to it?

Sometimes you can use it in place of a moisturizer, sometimes in addition. They can add extra hydration or treatment.

It really depends on the type of serum. Sometimes you can use it in place of a moisturizer, sometimes in addition. They can add extra hydration or treatment. How do you know which is which? Trial and error? The products often tell you, but there's also a little trial and error involved. For example, I got some Sunday Riley vitamin C serum in one of my beauty boxes. Its main purpose is to be a vitamin C treatment-- treat dark spots, refine pores. It does say (I forget where-- maybe on the package, maybe on the box insert, maybe online) that it can be used under a moisturizer or as a moisturizer. So, you're supposed to use it AM/PM. I don't typically moisturize at night unless my skin feels really tight. So I was doing the serum at night, and I just knew that my skin didn't really feel as moisturized as it would with my regular moisturizer, so in the daytime, I put the serum on and then use a moisturizer. But a lot of them will say to apply it under moisturizer. On Sephora, there's usually a "how to use" tab for each product to help guide you. Sometimes you can find out more on a brand's website. Generally, the advice is that you apply products from lightest consistency to heaviest. A lot of serums (like Lancome's genefique, which I've tried) are very thin, sometimes transparent, so definitely lighter than most moisturizers. The Sunday Riley I mentioned actually is a little heavier like a light moisturizer lotion (and it's opaque white).

Trial and error? I honestly have no idea. I have 3 serums and I use them last. I just like them. They are supposed to do something or other. Maybe hold hydration in? I don't know. I just like them!

I wanted to get the travel size bottle, but my Ulta didn't have it so I had to suck it up and get the full size. I hope I like it or it's money wasted.

I know, but I live too far to make the trip again and I won't be that way for awhile. Last time I tried to return something it was past 30 days and they only said no.

I have to go back and read this whole thread, but:
I haven't work much makeup since the 80s (moisturizer, mascara and lipstick). Lately, I've noticed my skin is aging, so I've been doing some shopping and trying out some stuff. I'm liking it, and will continue using. Things I really like and will continue to buy are:
Drunk Elephant whipped cream moisturizer Dior foundation Mac powder Tartlette in bloom eyeshadow palette
I bought a Marc Jacob eyeliner pencil - I haven't used eyeliner since the 80s, either, and so I'm a bit shaky on it, but I really like it. I goes on very nicely and smudges beautifully with an eyeliner brush.
I've also been using the Arbonne neck cream for the past month, and I do like that.
I've been using Living Proof hair stuff for a couple of weeks because my hair shows some real signs of aging too (frizz). It's seems to be putting some hydration back in my hair.
Love Marrakesh hair oil. I use it every day.
up in the air about the Mac concealer. I think I'm going to try a different brand once this is gone. Same with the Mac primer.
I have some Arbonne serum I bought last month, but I haven't tried it yet. Must try. Also bought the Drunk Elephant night-bright duo which has a small bottle of each of the anti-aging serum and night oil. I will try those tonight.
I've been getting the fabfitfun box for the past year and a half and have received some great items that I otherwise would probably not have tried.
I'm having fun with this. And feeling better about my aging looks. Not that I'm using a whole lot, but what I'm using is smoothing out the look, covering up some spots and brightening.
Oh, and I LOVE Trestique lip crayons!
Now to go spend the next day reading the whole thread!!!
