Iβm going to Nyc in 3 weeks Any Sephora recommendations? Drunk Elephant definitely. I like my Protini cream and my marula oil does help the bags under my eyes and dryness all over. Sukari Babyface is supposed to be very good but I haven't used it yet. I like NARS Orgasm blush. It's a pretty colour and i wear it a lot. Tarte Amazonian clay blush and highlighter (very pretty), Park Avenue Princess highlighter and contour set, Tartlette in Bloom Clay eye shadow palette. I love the colours and formula in this palette. Do you have normal to oily skin I would look at Fenty Beauty because their shades are excellent. (Too matter for my dry skin). The highlighters are cute and the colours are nice. I find their contour sticks etc (the hexagon magnetic things) are too try to spread. I don't like them. If you like lip gloss GET the lip gloss. IT Cosmetics. I love a lot that they make. They're Real mascara is great, CC Cream because it's medium to full coverage foundation. LOVE THAT STUFF!!!!! Also Bye Bye Makeup you want. Urban Decay Naked Palettes, Naked Skin Shipshaper. Love that!!! Hourglass-lots of people love it and while I want to love it I just find it's over priced for what it is and I am done buying it. I get better results from other brands at the same or less price-point. Usually less and I just am not buying into it. Also their Veil Mineral primer is great at the beginning but I hated it after a week. It just wouldn't work. They make another one that is supposed to be better. I use Smashbox or Laura Mercier. Bare Minerals-depends if you like mineral foundation. They are excellent if you can wear it. I love their stuff but my skin is too dry now. Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum cream. Get the 3 pack for $40. You'll thank me later. It is excellent. I really like Laura Mercier foundation primer in Radiance. I really like using it. Also you want her loose powder for baking or anything. It is soooo good. Believe me and all the youtube videos that it is good! Le Mar loose powder is also very, very good. Too Faced Better than Sex mascara is excellent. Love Light Prismatic Highlighter. I really like this but other people don't. It is really good with my skin colour. Kat von D lipliners are really good. I have one and like it a lot. Her liquid lipsticks are also excellent. Peter Thomas Roth Wrinkle X Peel Pads. They are wonderful. Anastasia Beverly Hills- I just have a liquid lipstick and a brow gel and I like both of them very, very much! That's what I like. I have a list of everything I have bought at Sephora and I gave you all my likes and a few of my misses. Now you see why I am Rouge status. That was like total confession LOL. Regardless I love the store, I love the way the cast treats me and everyone and it's a great experience as you know.

So if I signed in an alternate ID and BFF wouldn't know who it was I could sneak in here and say I ordered 6 Jouer liquid liptsicks and I quite like them! They dry very matte, no transfer and the colour lasts well. Yay. They feel really good on my lips. I would give them an 8.5/10 and I have never had a perfect 10 so far.

Tarte is coming out with a new mermaid eye shadow palette and I am on the fence. I quite like it. Get it? Pass? I will go check it out on Thursday. I mean for research purposes, right?

Tarte is coming out with a new mermaid eye shadow palette That is pretty! The Bubbles shade looks like a bluish gray on my monitor, but it looks lavender on all of the swatches? I'm glad it is not full of blues and greens.

Sephora's website says it will be in store on Thursday. I will go check it out. (I have a real excuse to be in the area and I mean Sephora is right down the block on the same street. You know, I was already there and all...)

Does anyone have any of the bareminerals Gen Nude matte lipsticks? I generally hate matte lipstick but Kate from The Small Things wears this and I love how it looks on her. Usually matte lipstick makes my lips look wrinkled and feel gross, but I am wondering if this is different?

It was nude pink but more nude. I would recommend the formula.

I haven't tried it, but maybe that would work over a lipstick you already like. (If you have sephora nearby, see if they'll give you a sample. I think it's in a tube, like some lip balms are, so they should be able to squeeze you some into a sample pot. But I would use a brush to apply it, then.)

I just looked at her blog post and it was actually a Lipstories lipstick that I liked the best, not the gen Nude. I wonder if Sephora at JCPenney has lipstories collection?

Oui. Amazon has it but it is more than 3x the cost. Mine doesn't have it, either. A store about 30 miles from me has it though, so it's still around.

Oui. Amazon has it but it is more than 3x the cost. It looks like it's in stock at a Sephora inside a Penney's that's near me. Let me know if you want me to pick one up for you.

So, I stopped at Sephora today to see if they happened to have that color. They had a tester so I tried it out. With the lighting I could hardly see it on my lips. The employee asked βdo you ever wear foundation, or...β.
Iβm not sure how to take that. Is it a compliment that she didnβt think I had foundation on? Or the opposite? I do think that my makeup tends to fade away quickly. Even my blush. Iβm not sure what else to do about that? Should I be touching up throughout the day, or is it reasonable to expect good makeup to last?

iamkristinl16 She was just probably trying to sell you something... I'm still experimenting with setting sprays. I bought the Wet n Wild Natural finish- should've tried Matte because I don't like that dewy look. I didn't notice it helping much, but mine stays on pretty good. I'm just trying keep from having to put powder on my T zone. I may have to break down and try a high dollar one...

I don't know that I'd take that question as anything but a question. I mean, I can see it as a precursor to further discussion about the lipcolors, like "Do you wear foundation? You can try applying a little of it to your lips to tone down the natural color before applying lipstick; that might make the lipstick color pop more." Or it's a flat-out attempt to upsell.

Thanks. I took it to mean that I looked un-made up so was wondering if I ever do "more". When I told her that I did have foundation on but it sometimes fades, she just said that the lipstick looked like a good "your lips but better" color.

I posted the other day about the NYC setting spray but I looked at the one I bought and it is actually Milani setting spray. Has anyone tried that? I probably should test it out tonight to see how it sprays before possibly ruining my makeup in the morning before work.
I feel like with all of the time and money I spend on my hair, skin and nails, I should look like a supermodel, right? Lol. It's frustrating when the products don't seem to be doing as much for me as for other people.

There are two new palettes dropping tomorrow at Sephora. There is the Tarte Rainbow one and the Urban Decay Backtalk one. I just watched two YouTube videos of Backtalk and i had my heart set on it and now I am kind of meh. The videos were well-done and the artist who did the look turned out great. I just didn't like the colours. I am hoping a few more show up on YouTube in the next little while. The Rainbow one I enjoyed when Puffinswife did a look with it. I really liked her eyes with it. I will look at it tomorrow. I am also scoping out the Too Faced Unicorn one for BFF (nurse and Pea) so she can see what it's like through me. Wish me luck!

I hadn't seen anything about the UD Backtalk one, I just went and looked it up. I like the colors, but I wish half of them weren't all glittery. I like watching videos of makeup done with them, but they're not for me. I'll have to look tomorrow to see if Manny or Laura Lee put up videos with the new palettes. Let us know if you get them, or see them in store and what you think.

I just looked up the Backtalk palette. I like the idea but wish the colors were not as pink. Would be awesome if they made one with eye shadows more like naked 2. I've been on the lookout for a new palette for awhile since my favorite colors in the baked palettes are used up. Ian not sure why but I didn't realize that the same colors are available individually. I probably should just make up my own palette with those colors, even though I think it's more expensive.

Have you looked at the Morphe or BH Cosmetics palettes? I think only Ulta carries both brands. They both have some really pretty ones, and their prices are so much better than Urban decay and some of the other brands. They're also really smooth and pigmented. I do love the UD Naked 3 and the Naked Basics 2. I've thought of getting the Naked 2 palette.

I use the Milano (make it last) setting spray and really like it. Iβve also used the UD All Nighter spray. I donβt think the UD was any better or worth the extra money.

That is so sweet. I will check back in at my store to see if they get it again. If not, it isn't a big deal. I did like it, but it wasn't that much different than what I already have, TBH. I always seem to get similar lip colors.
