I didn’t used to, but, aboit a year ago I started developing a rash under my wedding ring. It gets really red and starts to peel, so, I have had to take it off for months at a time to heal. DH always wears his. My dad never did. He was very faithful, but, didn’t wear his ring. Erin is your ring gold? I had the same issue. I always thought it was soap or something getting trapped under it. I have not wore that ring for nearly a yr and I have not had any issues. I have been wearing a pandora stackable ring set that looks like a vintage wedding set. it is sterling silver and I have not had any issues with the redness, itchiness or peeling. I am thinking it was an allergic reaction or something. it just started happening a few yrs ago. As for me. I take my rings off at bed time, because if I get hot during the night, my fingers tend to swell, especially in the summer. I also take them off when I shower or if I am using a harsh cleaner. DH pretty much leaves his on.

I never wear mine when I am at home. DH has a job that doesn't allow him to wear his ring. He doesn't wear it when going out either. Married 20 years!

When I wore them (engagement, wedding, and anniversary band), I took them off around the house and put them on any time I left. Haven't worn them at all the past two years though.

Dh hardly ever takes his off. I take mine off when I sleep, I was worried I would scratch myself or dh.

A setting in my ring broke a long time ago and I don't want to get it fixed. I wear a gold band instead.

Neither of us wear our rings. I don't like wearing any jewelry on my hands and it's dangerous for him to wear rings when he's working so he doesn't bother to wear them at all.

Yes. When I get home. I wear three bands. Between the platinum, baguettes, and center stone, they are too heavy to wear all the time. So, i just wear them when I'm not at home. But I never leave home without them.

My dh wears his pretty much all the time. I take mine off as soon as I get home from work. I usually wear mine when I leave the house but sometimes I forget.

I sleep with my hands near my face. I take mine off every night to avoid funky indentations or scratches on my face. I will take it off or just not put it on if I'm doing something messy at home.
My husband wears his all the time, but he's been known to switch it from his left hand to his right periodically, to balance out the tan lines.

We both wear our wedding bands which are both plain gold as was popular 45 years ago when we married.
I still ill love my engagement ring which is a beautiful solitaire diamond in gold which I no longer wear ask it is a little worn (so the jeweller says) so I wear a beautiful diamond anniversary band and a ruby set band (40 years). These two rings I take off at home but not my wedder.

I don't wear it at night, if it's very cold (because I'm afraid it will slip off my finger) or when I'm at the stables.

I do, he doesn't....ever! I have a glass bowl on our entry stand. I take them off when I come home and put them on when I head out to work, into town, out shopping....pretty much anywhere other than around the house. I'm always doing something and am afraid I will loose them. I know that it seems silly but I have the worse luck in the world. He won't take his off for any reason. He says he feels naked without it! I actually just got him a new band. His silver one split about a year ago. A suspect swung a piece of rebar at him and hit his ring. Split it, I don't know how he didn't break his finger. He didn't want to repair the ring, he said it was his saftey. It kept pinching his finger, So I finally got him to pick a new one. The only way he took it off was he gave it to me to wear. This way I had some of his good luck with me at all times. I love how sweet he can be at times. Remembering that, sitting here that he is 3 hours late because of him getting a DWI off the street. Which means he will be tired at the baby shower today. I love that man but man oh man.

We both work with machinery that safety requires no jewelry.. rings watches bracelets necklace visable piercings... so we don't daily...
We do try to remember when we go out... we are going to a play tomorrow and the drive here he realized we would be single this weekend... we left our rings at home... which means I forgot all the above mentioned jewelry... makes me sad because i have some nice stuff that I rarely have the chance to wear.... and it is all sitting at home... :-(

Mine are too heavy to wear all the time. I take them off as soon as I'm home. Sometimes I'll wear one of my infinity bands 24/7, but only in the winter. I'm way too outdoor active in the summer to wear any of my jewels - they'll end up at the bottom of the lake!

Yes. As soon as I walk in the door. DH too. We wear them we we leave the house but that’s it. Very similar here too. Hubby never, ever takes his off. I never wear mine unless I go out. I love, love, love jewelry except when I am home. I like to be free of it all! I also don’t want to mess it up or lose a diamond. I have seen those horror stories too from cleaning, etc.

We pretty much always wear ours except in water. That includes showers, washing dishes, washing hands, swimming (sometimes). And in cases of handling raw meat or knowing we're going to get really dirty.

I take mine off when I go to bed and put them back on after my shower. They are way too big and I have a plastic “snuggler” on them but water gets trapped in it and that irritates me. Dh used to leave his off because he kept losing it. It’s too big for his left hand but a couple years ago he realized it fits his right hand so he switched and now wears it all the time. I really should get mine sized.

I always wear mine. My husband wears his unless he's doing some major, heavy duty yard work - then he protects it until he's done.

I take off my rings (I wear my ring set and my grandmother's wedding band) the second I get home. Often I leave them off most of the summer months. In the evenings I work outdoors and exercise and I find rings get in the way or get dirty. DH never wears his. He took it off for work safety reasons years ago.
Several years ago a co-worker chastised me when she found I take off my wedding ring. She claimed she would never take hers off! After she divorced, I found both she and her husband were having affairs for years. It is an important symbol of your commitment, but your actions do more show your commitment.

I take mine off when doing dishes, shower, swimming, etc. DH doesn't take his off. Several years ago, he did have to cut his off. He jammed his finger and it swelled up fast. Just about the time his finger healed, he jammed it again. I had it fixed for him that Christmas. That was the only time period he had it off.

I don't even know where mine is at the moment. I'm a SAH-HM (stay at home - homeschooling mom). I'm as married as married can be. My original engagement ring and band are in jewelry box. When I was pregnant with ds and became huge, dh bought me a band to match his. I used to wear it when I went out until I gained more weight and it became uncomfortable. Also I don't wear a watch anymore, so it feels weird to wear a ring and not a watch to me.
DH wears his quite a bit, if not it's on his key ring so he doesn't lose it. I should have done that. He gets rashy under the ring sometimes and has to take it off to heal. It's white gold. Also he has to take it off for certain chores working around the homestead.

I only wear mine when leaving the property and remove them immediately when I return.
DH is an aviation mechanic, so no jewelry is allowed. He wears it on the weekends though.

Neither of us wears them. Dh work a trade and cannot wear it. I stopped wearing mine a long time ago when I had a cyst in that finger. Bothered me too much to wear it before and after the surgery.

We don't really wear ours, dh works with his hands a lot so doesn't want to get it caught on an engine part etc. I stopped wearing rings when I had my oldest who is 5.5 years old now. I wear it occasionally, rather the engagement ring since our wedding bands are silver and often tarnished and need polishing. Eden when I wore my engagement ring daily I still took it off at home because it's tourmaline which is a softer stone. Now that I'm either at home or out with the kids i leave it off since it needs to be babied. So I wear it on occasions like going out to dinner or to a wedding etc.
