I have a confession to make: I watch The Sound of Music, not for the singing, or the cute kids, the heartwarming story or any of the reasons a normal person might watch it. I watch The Sound of Music because I have a huge crush on Captain Von Trapp. That is all. Anyone else need to get something off their chest?

I buy lots of scrapbooking and card making supplies that I rarely use. I even bought two of the WRMK Precision Press positioners, so obviously I am a hoarder of said craft items as well. 🤔

I bought creme puffs for a party I had on Friday night and then 'forgot' them at my house. On accident, of course. So I picked up a cheese tray and took that instead and ate the creme puffs.

watch The Sound of Music because I have a huge crush on Captain Von Trapp. and what's wrong with that? nothing, in my opinion!! I do love the story and the music, but it's just as nice to watch him!

I kept saving them for a "more important occasion."

I am single, so I buy my own stocking stuffers. They are from my cat. She always gets me exactly what I want.

I bought Christmas presents for my dad and son. From Dad to son. From Dad to me and from Dad to gf. I bought stuff to me and from me. I don’t believe in Christmas and I am going to a Sister’s formal gala next weekend at the mosque. I am going out for Christmas Dinner on the 25th with my family and going to a Muslim wedding on the 26th then coming home and having turkey at home with my family.
I can be a jerk OR I can help others enjoy their magic at a very difficult time of year for my family. (Sister’s Birthday Dec 1 and Mom’s birthday Dec30).
It someone questions my Iman (they can stick it) because I have very little family and want our memories to be good ones.
Salam.

I'm having way more fun buying stocking stuffers for my sons' girlfriends than I am for my sons. The girls' stockings may be fuller than the boys' too.

I have four boys so I'm delighted to be adding a girl to the family. I am facing a similar problem to you. I have more gifts for her already and ideas for plenty of other things I could buy her!

When he sings Edelweiss is the best part of the movie My fav part too My confession would be that I'm already dreading taking down the eleventy billion Christmas decorations we have up in our house ... two big trees, etc. I will, of course, enlist the group that helped to put them up: teenagers! Dd#1, her boyfriend, and dd#2

My daughter received a Reese’s Cup gift set from her Secret Santa at school (she’s 15). My kids were with their father this past weekend. I had a personal chocolate emergency early Sat. morning and I ate the 4 mini Reese’s cups from my daughter’s gift set. When my ex brought my children home last night, I made a full confession to my daughter. P.S. I ran out to the store before my kids came home and replaced the missing candy with a party sized bag of Reese’s cups.

My DH and I loved watching the Sound of Music last night and even though I have 15 million other things I should have been doing; I wanted to watch and enjoy every second of it.

destined2bmom Same here. As a matter of fact, I turned it on when Lisl and Rolf were dancing in the garden, so I immediately went over to Amazon so I could watch from the beginning. I didn't want to miss anything. My aunt used to know Maria von Trapp when she lived in Vermont, and always thought she was great. What's the story with Maria?

What did Maria Von Trapp do...... She climbs a tree and scrapes her knee, her dress has got a tear. She waltzes on her way to Mass and whistles on the stair. And underneath her wimple she has curlers in her hair. I even heard her singing in the abbey. She's always late for chapel, but her penitence is real, She's always late for everything, except for every meal. I hate to have to say it, but I very firmly feel Maria's not an asset to the abbey. (sorry, I couldn’t resist)

Love the confessions of people keeping it real.
I have a breadmaker, but a few years ago, my husband started playing with it, so now he makes the bread. I'm having him bake loaves all week as gifts to neighbors. I'll wrap them up all pretty, but he'll likely deliver since he's a relentless extrovert and they'll all likely think I made the bread. I'm not going to disabuse them of that notion. I like their candy and cookies and homemade hooch.

I buy good chocolate and hide it from DH. He's happy with a Snickers.
I'm sure he knows I stash it in my scrapbook area, LOL.

On Saturday we were throwing a Christmas party for dh's family. He ran over to my parent's house as we needed to borrow a table and chairs. My mom sent home some of her Hungarian kifli that she makes every year at Christmas. In the party rush I put them in a cupboard and forgot about them until last night. I have not yet told dd about them and just ate a few myself. I need to tell her, they are her favorite. But also, my favorite and we only get them once a year!

A friend of mine makes haystacks for our group of friends every year for Christmas. We met yesterday but my sister is out of town so my friend gave me her haystacks to give to her. I like the white chocolate ones better than the dark chocolate ones she makes so I switched them out and gave my sister all the dark chocolate ones and I kept the white chocolate ones - she will just think our friend only made the dark chocolate ones this year (which she does sometimes)
