Guardedly optimistic something will come of this. (Besides a media circus.)

This is potentially huge, but I'm so tired of getting my hopes up. I know this investigation is a long game, but it is hard to be patient.

I also hope that a grown-up will restrain him from starting a war or entering into the Syrian war.

If they haven't already destroyed evidence, then I hope the FBI finds what they need to convict.

Question: What're the odds that a lawyer who claims he used his own money to buy silence about a client, and did this without his client's knowledge, would keep records in his office that disprove this claim?
This is not something I have any knowledge about, so I'm literally wondering what the odds are.

I know nothing....just thinking out loud.

They just hit Cohen’s hotel too!

if nothing else, it will certainly rattle Cohen and trump a bit. Stormy Daniel's attorney, Avanatti must be wetting himself with glee.

A pretty conservative attorney’s thoughts (from Twitter, obviously)

Cohen did state that he “would take a bullet” for trump.
We’re gonna find out if it’s true!

I also hope that a grown-up will restrain him from starting a war or entering into the Syrian war. No chance of that happening now. Trump needs to take the spotlight off this. SaveSave

I have no idea what the odds are as a general question, but this is the guy that never bothered to cover his tracks (using a trump organization email, etc.) with regards to the Stormy pay off. For him personally I think it is an even money bet. He left the evidence there because the level of arrogance involved in this organization is stupendously high.

I think this is an enormous development. Warrants are not easily sought or given to procure information from an attorney on a case the attorney is active in. This indicates to me they have strong evidence that Cohen is actively involved in some crime and has not been honest (and they can prove it) in response to the existing investigations and/or litigation

My hopes are pinned on Mattis to be the voice of reason, as well as keep itchy fingers away from the nuke button. Who would have guessed the guy named “Mad Dog” would be the least reckless of his advisors?

I think I have seen that video of Trump saying, "You'll have to ask Michael Cohen" twenty times. Perhaps they took Trump at his word.

I'm waiting to see how Trump responds to this. He is not going to be happy, especially with the AG's office signing off on this. Firings to come?

He's going to want to fire people, but hopefully someone keeps him from acting.

I also hope that a grown-up will restrain him from starting a war or entering into the Syrian war. Don’t count on it; Bolton is now the NSA, and he seems to think of himself as a sort of walking, talking, rigid warrior penis.

Firings to come? in any other case, i don't think trump would hesitate to throw anyone under the bus to save himself. but, cohen knows where all the bodies are buried so trump is going to have to handle this with kid gloves. there is a lot cohen can't discuss under attorney/client privilege but i have no doubt he could find a way to give up trump if it meant saving himself.
