I got the Huda Beauty Rose Gold eyeshadow palette, and it is beautiful. It was out of stock for quite a while and came back just before the sale last month.

Nanner Was it you who recommended a good shampoo/conditioner for dry, brittle hair? I think Nanner has talked about Living Proof before. I recently got a large trial size of Nexxus Keraphix and really like it. I have been searching for a shampoo/conditioner for my dry brittle hair for awhile now and this is my favorite so far. I bought the full size at Target.

I've been looking for a palette that has more neutral/cool tones and have seen several videos featuring Bare Minerals gen nude neutrals palette. I ended up ordering it on their website yesterday, and they also had a deal where you buy a lip product, blush and blush brush for $55 so I got that. Then I saw that they have a mattifying blemish fighting primer so decided to try that in hopes that it works on my nose. I also got 15% off since it was my first order.

Nanner Was it you who recommended a good shampoo/conditioner for dry, brittle hair? I really like Living Proof no-frizz shampoo and conditioner for my frizzy hair. It's the best I've found! I thought it was Living Proof. I got a small tube of their styling cream in my Sephora Play box and I really like it.

alexa11 I have used Living Proof shampoo and conditioner in the past and was really wonderful for my hair. I stopped using it because it was so expensive and have tried a few less expensive products but have not been as happy with them as I was with LP.

I started a new thread but saw this pop up. I do have bye bye pores, but is there anything else I can use to make my pores not seem so big? Also, dark circles under my eyes. Sometimes it even seems swollen. I want to look revived and young and I look ‘bleh’ I use CC cream for foundation and bye bye under eye now.

ok beauties! I need some help. I have started using a sulfate free shampoo & conditioner on the recommendation of my stylist. Here's the thing - I feel like my hair gets dirtier quicker. Is this normal? I used to be able to wash my hair every 3 days or every two days if I am sweaty. Now I feel like it has to be washed every 2 days no matter what. And by the second day it is gross.
So what am I doing wrong? I am using Color Proof Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner (which is not cheap). For the money, I just feel like it shouldn't get so oily so soon.

mom Have long have you been using the sulfate free? It can take some time for your hair to adjust. I also saw a video recently about how to move to sulfate free shampoos. You are supposed to one last shampoo with the harsh shampoo to remove the sulfates that have stuck your hair shaft. Then follow with sulfate free conditioner and then wash again with your sulfate free shampoo. If I can find the video I will post it for you.

I got one of the Dose of Colors lipglosses the other day and the color was horrible. Not at all how it looked online. I hope yours turns out better! Buying lip stuff online is so hard, and I usually regret it. Either the color is totally different than it looked, or it's too matte, or too sticky. I figured for $10.00 and because I've heard good reviews of Dose of Colors I'd take the chance. Which one did you get? I ordered Just My Type, which is described as neutral rosy pink. I ordered can you not.

I posted this on your other thread, but products with AHA/BHA can help, and I think retinols can as well. A good primer can help but imo it can take some trial and error. I seem to be very sensitive to primers. Many make me break out. I have a sample of hourglass veil and really like it so far. But Porefessional is good as well.

I stopped using it because it was so expensive and have tried a few less expensive products but have not been as happy with them as I was with LP. If you get the Fabfitfun box, they have Living Proof in their add-ons. $19 for a bottle of shampoo AND conditioner. They won't ship LP to Canada anymore, so I can't get it, but I've saved a bundle in previous subscriptions by getting it. They would offer the no frizz one season and the restorative the next. I'm assuming they still offer it to U.S. residents, but I can't see it anymore because I can't get it.
Then again, you have to pay $50 per season for the box, so if you're only getting it for the ability to get the LP cheap, it's not a deal.

Hair washed this way can still suffer from build up from time to time, and the best way to get rid of it is with an apple cider vinegar rinse monthly (1 tablespoon ACV to one cup of warm water). It is a much less harsh way of washing your hair.

So... I have about $150 to spend to maintain VIB Rogue next year. I stocked up on all of my regular skin care and makeup and hair products during the last sale, so I don't "need" anything. But I don't want to lose my status if I'm this close. What should I get to stay Rogue? (I know I don't want any eyeshadow palettes - just not my thing.)

I usually get them at Nordstrom but recently saw them on the Sephora site. They smell great and also make nice small gifts.

Wait and see what kind of fun sets come in for the holidays. Do you have a good sunscreen? I like Farmacy's green screen. I like Shiseido's facial cotton squares for applying toner or using makeup remover. Not sure what your hair is like or what you do with it, but there is a travel sized straightening brush from Amika for $35. Find a new makeup brush to try. Grab a bunch of the $20-30 sets to have on hand for holiday gifts. I like the $20 Youth to the People duo with cleanser and moisturizer. There are new Huda mini palettes for $27. I think I want the Bite Beauty four-pack of mini lipsticks ($25) at some point. Sorry for not linking to anything. For some reason, this computer has stopped loading Sephora's site without crashing my whole system.

busy New tools? Maybe a new eyelash curler, new makeup brushes, or a nice makeup mirror. Love the idea of buying gift sets for the holidays. The Tatcha set with the deep cleanse and the water cream is wonderful. What about a new perfume?

What’s new ladies?? I’ve been adjusting my skin care routine after learning more about k beauty products and ingredients, basically trying to be more informed than just learning about a brand or a rec from a sales rep. Switched to Cerave cleanser which is low pH and better for protecting skin from breakouts. Beauty Water is nice, and I’m also using Cosrx AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid for exfoliation which tingles a bit but is helping keep my skin clear and bright. Still working on finding a treatment for minimizing pores. I swear with everything I’m doing they’re looking bigger and all over my face now, but that may be just me being hyper critical. I know hydration is the best thing to help so I’ve been using hyaluronic acid wherever I can squeeze it in. I’ve been using an Origins dark spot correcting serum that’s been working ok. Still looking for a good undereye cream for fine lines and puffiness. I’ve been trying to add Vitamin C to my routine but every formulation just was too oily or greasy for my skin. I even had to return my Drunk Elephant serum because it was just so greasy. Then I learned about The Ordinary Vitamin C Powder that I can mix with my essence so I will update after I’ve used it for a time. I haven’t added a retinoid yet but I am looking for an appropriate one. But I’ve made so many changes to my routine in a short period of time that I’m waiting until I see effects of what I’m doing now. Still love my Water Cream but I think I will switch it out when I’m done with this bottle. It’s been fun and informative and man, I wish I’d known about all this when I was younger and could have prevented all the issues I. Trying to fix now that I’m older!

Does anyone have a suggestion for a longwearing lipstick that isn’t drying and doesn’t make your lips peel? I do prefer satin over matte.
I am specifically looking for something similar to Burberry Oxblood but wears a bit better.
I typically go for Tom Ford, but I’m trying to not spend that much.

I have very sensitive lips do generally go for something moisturizing, which isn’t usually long wearing. But the Bite lipsticks are the most long wearing that I own.

I just picked up some Charlotte Tilbury KISSING lipstick and like it a lot. Its a satin and feels really good on my lips. Not sure if they would have a color you like though. Might check her out.

mom Have long have you been using the sulfate free? It can take some time for your hair to adjust. I also saw a video recently about how to move to sulfate free shampoos. You are supposed to one last shampoo with the harsh shampoo to remove the sulfates that have stuck your hair shaft. Then follow with sulfate free conditioner and then wash again with your sulfate free shampoo. If I can find the video I will post it for you. You need to do one last sulfate shampoo to remove the silicones from your hair. Silicones in shampoos and conditioners can stop your hair from being moisturised properly. You then use sulfate- and silicone-free shampoo, and follow with silicone-free conditioner (conditioners don't usually contain sulfates). Hair washed this way can still suffer from build up from time to time, and the best way to get rid of it is with an apple cider vinegar rinse monthly (1 tablespoon ACV to one cup of warm water). It is a much less harsh way of washing your hair. Judie's got it mostly right. I've been doing this for about 10 years now. Sulfates are in shampoos and silicones are in conditioners. Sulfates dry your hair out and are very harsh on your hair. Silicones coat each hair shaft like plastic so the actual true conditioning product can't actually get inside the hair shaft and it can't do any good-it just looks shiny on the outside. When you are ready to start this new process you start with any sulfate shampoo. You need a sulfate shampoo because you want a harsh shampoo (the sulfate one) to get rid of the silicones that are on your hair. Follow that up with a silicone free deep conditioner-one that you leave on for 30 minutes. For your next wash you'll use a sulfate free shampoo and a silicone free conditioner. If you have wavy or curly hair you'll find a ton of advice at naturallycurly.com If you have straight hair you don't have to use a specific shampoo you buy at a salon or that has a fancy designer name. I'm willing to pay more for a product that is great quality if it has the ingredients I'm looking for and especially doesn't have the ingredients I don't want. I'm at the point now where I only wash my hair once a week. My two favorite lines are jessicurl.com and rawhairorganics.com It is a process and it does take a while for your hair to transition. But I've seen lots and lots of photos of women who's hair has really improved using this system. I'm on a facebook group called Curly Girls! Support Group for Curly/Wavy/ Natural Healthy Hair and there is a lot of action on it every day with lots of questions asked and answered if you are interested in learning about this.

I just ordered one of the new MAC powder kiss lipsticks tonight, I'm looking forward to seeing how that feels/wears. I prefer colored lip balms, or lip crayon lip colors because I can't stand for my lips to feel dry. I like how some of the liquid lipsticks or glosses look, but I don't like if they're sticky and I don't think any of the ones I've tried have lasted very long.
