Agree with everything you said Jackie and can I just say it's so nice to have you back posting this season? It just wasn't the same without you last season.
I liked Jeremy before last night's episode. He was funny and fun to watch. Then all of a sudden last night he blew it. Having a breakfast meeting with his tribe mates and complaining to everyone about "side conversations" and how "we should all stay a cohesive tribe" was ridiculous. Survivor is all about whispering and small groups of conversations be it between groups of 2 people, 3 or whatever. For a super fan of the game he should have known better. Then he goes around that entire day and does the exact thing he asked all of his tribe mates not to do that morning-have side conversations with any and every one he could find. Talk about putting a huge target on your back. Have your really actually watched the game of Survivor Jeremy? As much as I can't stand Natalie I knew he was going to be the one voted out last night, and I understood their reasoning. They were so strong in challenges they could afford to let Jeremy go even though they did lose that one to the David's in the rain.
Speaking of challenges-wow-that rain came back with a force, didn't it? Did anyone else notice the part in the challenge where they were untangling the rope? When it was laid flat on the ground it look to me like a typical braid like you'd braid in your hair. Maybe I'm wrong but that's what it looked like to me. I told DS they should put someone in who's had experience braiding their hair. I've done it for years and can do it without even looking. I love to see Christian working the puzzles and was yelling and cheering when he was at work at the puzzle and Natalie was on the other side trying to figure it out. No Natalie, you don't have your minions to do the work for you this time. You have to do the work for yourself. I loved it when the David's won. They needed it so bad. Honestly I wish they could have one more week as Davids vs. Goliaths just to see if they could win again. That would be amazing although with Bi's knee who knows how they'd do. Poor Bi. I know she gave it her all. I hope that injury doesn't kill her game.
As far as the previews for next season that Jackie wrote about-yuck! I hate returning players. But what I really, really hate is when they have returning players + new players. It's such an uneven playing field and gives an unfair advantage to the returning players. I'll watch it. I haven't missed one episode or one season yet since the very first season started, but it won't be my favorite.

Thanks for posting Dalton’s recap Michelle. Meant to do that and forgot. Also, kind of interesting, but when I was looking for Dalton’s recap I als found Dalton’s exit interview with Jeremy. Man did he get ugly at the end. He swore that the reason he was voted out was because Angelina insisted on it. He said she’s a newlywed but has a serious showmances with John (she’s into him and he’s just being strategic according to Jeremey). Apparently Jeremy made a comment about it and she insisted everyone vote him out. Anyone buying this?
Anyway, I also wanted to apologize for accidentally putting the info about next season in my regular post. I had it in the spoiler, but accidentally outside of the spoiler. I think I messed it up when I copied/pasted my post from the other survivor thread. I’m sorry!

Thanks guys. I know some people don’t like to know what the theme is for next season so I didn’t want to put that in my regular post. I felt terrible when I saw I put it there, I did take it out. Glad to hear no one is upset.

I'm with you, jackie, and find John is unexpectedly one of my favorites on Goliath. I like Mike, Alison and Angelina, too. I'm not a fan of Nick on David and wish he hadn't aligned with Christian. Elizabeth is my current favorite, but I like everyone else except Nick. So far I'm liking this season and was thrilled David won a challenge, especially being so competitive through the physical part. I almost wish we had another week for them to beat Goliath again. I didn't know about Parvati & John or Mike & Meg. Interesting the these reality shows are coming up with more couples than The Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise.

So now we have 3 tribes and the island again ~ can't remember the stupid name. I was so hoping they weren't going to go there this season. Having 3 tribes is stupid. And why does Jeff have 2 trays of new buffs? Seems like they were manipulating the outcome. Glad Natalia was blindsided. So happy for Gabby getting the win for her tribe!

I was rooting for Natalie's team to go to Tribal so they could kick her to the curb. If I had to be with her for more than a few minutes I'd have to punch her out. What a snotty bitch! As it was I liked Tribal. Good blindside on Natalia. I didn't like her either.

Glad Natalia was blindsided. Yeah, that was fun. Sad that Bi decided she had to quit. (Well, I'm sad for her; I don't actually care either way whether she's still in the game.) Maybe they will have her and the guy who got injured on the boat back on later seasons. Hmm... I wonder what the plan was if she hadn't. One more week with two tribes and then NEXT week go to three?

I wasn't paying enough attention at the beginning, but I know in the past they had women pick from one tray/bag and men from another to get an even gender divide on the new teams. With the David/Goliath theme it looks like they wanted the to continue with the Davids as underdogs on all the new teams. I hated that Davie turned so quickly to throw Elizabeth under the bus and loved that Elizabeth's approach was to try pull a Goliath over to them. And it worked! She continues to be one of my favorites. DD and I half expected to see Natalie as the caller for purple, so she could sit and boss the others around. I'm sure she suggested it.

Thanks, that makes perfect sense. I was suspicious since each team ended up with 3 from the Goliath tribe and 2 from the David tribe. It looked a little too perfect.

Damn, I really hate it when I don’t get to watch Survivor in a timely manner. When I come in late like this, I feel like no one is still reading and in the mood to discuss the show still. Stupid DVR didn’t record so I had to wait a few days before it was on On Demand. Anyway, here I am. 🙂
I’m typing as I watch. Haven’t read anyone else’s post or Dalton’s recap—I’ll do that after. Here are my thoughts. It was sad to see Bi decide to quit because of her knee. As an athlete, I have no doubt she knows her body and that was the right decision.
Of course, as we all know, the swap happens this week and that’s what’s next. Didn’t know it was going to be three tribes though. That ps always interesting but so awful as the new tribe has to go back to a new camp and start from scratch. And how strange about Carl going to Exike Island since he was an extra and didn’t get a buff. How would that have worked if Bi hadn’t left? It would have been two extras. Do they fight over that advantage? Maybe Dalton will ask Jeff about that in the Q&A.
So back at their camps, Balaie is at least consistent—immediately barking out orders, talking condescendingly to and about everyone, all while sitting on her ass. If I were ypthe Goliaths on her tribe NO WAY do I keep her around if they lose. I hope that these players realize that there is no reason to automatically stick with all of your original tribes. The people you can work with anfpd get further in the game could come from either tribe. Please be open to that Goliaths.
Watching Christian work his charm (and buy the way I literally lol at his machete chopping after watching John was awesome. He turned it on perfectly. Then watching Gabby break down as she talked to Christian about feeling on the outs and being so scared was really moving. I found that whole conversation so endearing and made me love them both even more. I was so delighted to see Gabby perform so strongly in the challenge. She really needed that boost. I also keep loving John too. Listening to him talk about his social awkwardness, despite his stage persona, just shows all things are not as they appear.
I loved that Alec flipped. Natalia really did seem obnoxious. She’s no Natalie, but just like her name, she’s close🙂. I like both Elizabeth and Daley, so was glad to see them make it and Natalia go. Good for you Alec. Hopefully it will work out and you won’t suffer any repercussions. Why did Natalia and Cara vote for two different Goliaths though? I didn’t hear if talk of splitting the vote in case of HII, but that does make sense.
Next week’s previews look crazy with that storm. I love Christians comments abouth them all being Davids and the storm is Goliath. That guy is so clever. Okay off to read all my f your thoughts and Dalton’s. If someone hast provided the link to his recap, I’ll come back and add that.

Hey Jackie, I'm only just now getting in to talk about this week's episode. I haven't read the Dalton recap yet, but I'll do that.
Here are my thoughts in brief:
HATE that the tribes got mixed up so soon into the season. I really wanted to see more of the David vs Goliath thing. Shame that Bi had to quit, but yes, as she's an athlete, she has to take care of herself. Christian is a freaking hoot! LOVED the challenge. I hate having 3 small tribes; I far prefer having two larger ones. Bummer about Exile Island. I was really hoping for less of this kind of thing, more old-school survivor. LOVE that Natalia got booted. What a great outcome! I mean, Natalie would have been better (no one likes her, right?), but I just love that neither Christian nor Gabby were booted.

I was so happy to see her leave this week! I could not handle being on the same tribe as her. I'm surprised nobody told her off at any point in time at their camp.
The jacket thing was so bizarre. To try to scam someone out of their jacket like that before tribal council was so odd, and then to refuse to leave her jacket when she was the one leaving.
and the eggs would have been just fine for a couple days. Most countries outside of north america don't refrigerate their eggs at all

I have no words. Well, I have words but I want to keep my reputation on 2Peas as a nice person. If we had been on the same tribe I'm afraid I wouldn't have been able to keep it in like those people did.
I was so happy that the two teams who won did so!
If I had the eggs I would have dug deep into the sand to keep them pretty cool.

That was one crazy storm—both the cyclone and Natalie, lol. These guys have been getting hit with some serious weather! Hopefully things improve. I’m with you guys though, the jacket thing was hilarious. What a jerk Natalie is, talking about stealing jackets, trying to strong arm people for their jackets, then when she’s the one to go, she won’t give her jacket to the only person that was nice to her. Not only was Natalie obnoxious, she also didn’t appear to work around camp, and she was no good at challenges. Good riddance lady! I loved how Christian and Gabby are helping their tribes. Gabby was phenomenal as the caller inlast week’s challenge. This week Christian killed that snake/ball challenge. I love that John set his ego aside and let Christian try that part of the challenge after he dropped the ball. How many times have we seen the big, strong guy refuse to give someone else a chance, often costing the tribe a win. It’s awesome to see some Davids and Goliaths bonding. And of course I love that ANOTHER Goliath went home.

Most countries outside of north america don't refrigerate their eggs at all Yes, exactly to all of this. The jacket thing put Angelina in a real bad light too. She was wanting someone to steal Lyrsa's jacket, for crying out loud! I hope she goes soon too. That is an asshole way to act. Though not quite as much of an asshole as Natalie ignoring the "Can I have your jacket? Natalie?" Her explanation (that she didn't know if Angelina was part of the plan to kick her out) was dumb; she'd already seen two votes for Lyrsa; did she really think the second one wasn't from Angelina? Nah, she's just a bitch. I loved pretty much everything about this episode. Loved that they got their SECOND cyclone of the season and had to be evacuated for only the second time in Survivor history (note to producers; maybe you want to rethink your timing of the shooting in Fiji). I thought it was funny that Davie, was it? I still don't know all their names, was talking about "boiled chicken tonight!" Silly guy. Those are LAYERS. You keep them alive and have eggs every day. Kill them and it's a tiny bit of meat per person and done. And I was SO relieved that the Giant Asshole tribe lost. Oh, that isn't the name of the tribe? Yeah, I can't keep those straight either. And what a freaking relief to see Natalie go home. CBS, if you EVER bring her back, I'm gonna spit nails! Yuck! I loved how all the teams worked together actually, there really was no ego inovolved (not counting Natalie, who is only ego). Yep, this episode felt much more "classic Survivor," and I loved it.

giant asshole tribe - I love this!!! weren't there 4 laying hens & 1 rooster? they could kill & eat the rooster can't they? (admittedly I know nothing about chickens other than tasty ways to eat them) and does anyone know where they evacuate them to? I'm assuming it's not some 5 star resort - but who knows
