Just caught sight of some poor woman's big blue knickers at the top of the chapel stairs. Sorry, I thought I had my dress under control.

I’m going to have Andrea Bocelli sing at my next wedding.

Prince Phillip is elderly and his health has been very precarious over the past year. I understand if he was unable to attend. These ceremonial events can be very draining. If he doesn't/didn't appear, it would be because of his health and not his feelings for Sarah.
I think that of all the royal branches, Andrew and Fergie have made some very poor choices in their behavior. There is eventually blowback due to their choices. I think Andrew's siblings have behaved more appropriately in their roles. There was talk years ago that Andrew was involved in/with a underage sex ring, and some of his "business" associates were less than honorable. That said, the sins of the parents shouldn't reflect on their children.
There is a current HBO documentary 'Queen of the World" which has a scene with Andrew, and he appears to be a petulant, whiny man-baby.
This wedding is not a State occasion (nor was Meghan and Harry's) but it almost appears as if Fergie and Andrew got together and decided that they were going to make it bigger and better, just to show the world. Seriously how many of the 850 guests are true friends?
Also, as far as the girls being working royals, they have some charities that they are involved with, but not as royal representatives. Each of Elizabeth's grandchildren were given substantial trusts at birth, as well as inheriting from the Queen Mum, and a settlement at the time of her parents divorce. So money is not an object. And her husband (to be) is wealthy also. How many troughs does one need to feed off of? I just think that Eugenie's parents have always seemed to be grasping at every dime they can get, and that behavior is not very 'royal'.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard Beatrice speak publicly before. I really enjoyed her reading. You could see her massaging the pressure point between her thumb and first finger when the bride and groom were saying their vows.
So far the only thing I don’t like (because my opinion is v important, don’t you know?) is Eugenie’s tiara. I’m not a fan of emeralds and I think the whole thing is a little too chunky for her lovely face.

I like her dress, classically simple.

As she was walking in, one of the commentators said "no veil as a nod to her surgery." I didn't realize she had surgery as a child.

I’m a bit behind as I had to go for a mammogram. So I’m catching up. I love love love the tiara and I love her dress, it’s the best one so far!

I loved her dress, not sure about the tiara, also loved the trees on the Chapel steps. Thankfully someone tied those very securely in that wind. Can anyone tell me why Eugenie called him Jack Christopher Stamp during the vows rather than Brooksbank? The few Glimpses I got of Andrew during the ceremony he looked like he was asleep (eyes were closed)

I loved it. She looked gorgeous, I loved the dress and the tiara. Poor Jack looked so nervous, I really thought he might faint!
The lady with the skirt who flew up is actually a teen, Lady Louise, the Queen's youngest grand-daughter and Eugenie's cousin. Poor girl, she is only fourteen and if she is like every other teen in the world, she is probably mortified.

I feel so bad for Louise. Helping the children up the steps and keeping her dress down in the wind was too much. Poor girl

Yes, I’m pleased to see Prince Philip too. Have they said why Camilla is not there? Someone remarked the other day that the dress would be low backed as a nod to the surgery she had as a child. Nice dress! Love the shoulders. I thought I caught a glimpse of Camilla earlier. She was talking to someone, but seemed to be off to the side from the rest.

She wasn’t with Charles when he arrived so I’m thinking she wasn’t there - could be wrong though 😉

I’m watching the previously recorded footage on TLC. She’s stunning in that dress and tiara, and the groom is adorable. Ive always had a soft spot for Sarah Ferguson, so it was good to see her again. She looks great.

Love that the royal women wed in sleeves. I agree! I’m not a fan of strapless wedding dresses in particular as they often seem not to fit terribly well. Less skin on display too, obviously, which seems appropriate here.

I wonder why she got married on a friday instead of a saturday? I thought a lot of the guests needed to be wearing slips, the wind was not in their favor. I loved the red on Kate. Fergie looked amazing! Wasn't a fan of Beatrice's look, reminds me of all the dresses Kate wears that is more appropriate for someone twice her age. Eugenie's dress looked basic.

What’s your definition of basic? As for Sarah Ferguson, turning around at the top of the chapel steps and punching the air is hardly going to endear her to many. If I’m sounding snobby, I’ll own that.

I’m watching the replay on TLC and i think it is a beautiful wedding. I love the dress and I think the tiara is stunning. I thought her bouquet was a tad bit small in proportion to the dress.
It is so nice to see the Queen and Prince Phillip at the wedding. I teared up a little when they sang God Save the Queen.

I figured out who it was...it is the groom's mother, Nicola Brooksbank.

I watched it and loved it. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were both there, and both looking older than just a few months ago at Prince Harry's wedding, I thought. Sarah sat between Andrew and Beatrice on the royal side. Good. I loved that Beatrice chose almost a headband (perfect for the windy weather) rather than another ridiculous hat, and did you notice her gorgeous bee brooch? I thought her reading was beautifully done, and I loved how Eugenie thanked the Archbishop of York after his address. I thought Eugenie's dress was perfect for her, loved the tiara, loved how she showed off her scar. I hope her surgeon was watching, and noticing how impressive his needlework was! Our commentaries in the UK frustrated me though. Both the commentators repeatedly mispronounced her name, and I cringed when they kept referring to her mother as "Fergie". Seriously? That nickname went out 20 years ago. The flowers were quite gorgeous. And I found an article saying the wedding was plastic-free. She's my kind of girl.

Eugenie's dress looked basic. There’s quite a bit of detail on it that you can only see in some photos.

I thought I read that the couple wanted to have more of the public at their wedding.

The bride was simply beautiful! I thought I read that the couple wanted to have more of the public at their wedding. I know they had a bigger guest list than Harry and Meghan but I hadn’t heard about the general public. There were a certain number allowed within the grounds of the castle tonsee everyone arrive - I don’t know if that was more than the other wedding. I doubt there was as many people lining the streets.
