If so, can we discuss it? If not, will someone listen SO WE CAN DISCUSS IT?
It’s insane!!!
(Susan Powell went missing 9 years ago, today. Her husband Josh woke their two small sons up in the middle of the night, to take them camping. In a snowstorm. Without a tent. His wife has never been seen again.
A few years later, Josh killed his sons and then himself.)

You have always been a part of the heist. You're only mad now because you don't like your cut.

Sadly, this story is local to me and all within 5 miles of us is where the Cox family lives, where Josh's crazy crazy dad lived, and where Josh murdered Charlie and Braden. It's been absolutely heart-breaking seeing her parents deal with all of this. I haven't listened to Cold yet, but it's on my to-do list.

I'm pretty sure it was a photo board pea who was good friends with her, and was talking about it as it was happening. It was heartbreaking. I'm not sure if I can handle a podcast about it or not.

I remembered when this happened - how awful. I haven't been listening to the podcast but I will now.

I wasn’t sure of the board, but I know she took the photo of Susan that is used all the time, so photo board makes sense!

Yes!! I am loving it. There are not enough words in the English language to describe what a complete psycho dicknose Josh Powell was. And his father!! Sick, sick, sick!!!

Subscribed, thanks. Really liking the peas recommendations as a newbie to podcasts. This American Life episode Dr Gilmer and Mr Hyde is incredible. If you haven’t heard it yet, I highly recommend.

Me, me! I've always been fascinated and sickened by this case. I thought I knew a lot about it, but the detail in the podcast is incredible. I hope that it's helpful in finding Susan, but I have this terrible feeling that we'll never know where she is. What is wrong with the Powell family? Josh's creepy Warren Jeffs voice is difficult to listen to.
I've only listened to the first three episodes. I've been saving episode 4 for this weekend.

I also thought I was super familiar with it, because I live in Utah, so it was heavily covered in the news. But, NO. I cannot believe the extent of Steven’s obsession with her. The audio recording of their conversation in the car was so disturbing. I’m trying to imagine being in that position at 21 years old with any man saying that, let alone your FIL! I can’t wait to hear what you think after Episode 4!

Subscribed, thanks. I’ve watched tv shows on this. So horrible.
Another one who is intrigued by these stories. I read true crime books years ago. Long before it was as popular as it is now. In my defense, I would tell others - um... they don’t write these books for just me. Ann Rule was my favorite author.

It wasn’t until I was watching a program on ID, or one of those type channels, and they had arrived at the point of him killing the boys that I remembered reading about it. You don’t forget that one. I started reading true crime books early. Diane somebody...the one that attempted to kill her kids and two of them survived was one of the first. This semester I took a criminology class. Fascinating stuff.

Listened to the Prelude and 2 episodes. Haven’t read the info on those. However, I did watch the extra videos and look at the pics.
Steve is disgusting!
Josh’s voice reminds me of someone. I am thinking the FLDS guy that is in prison. Warren (?) Jeffs?

He was not happy and still mentions it to this day - 34 years later!
