The weirdest gift I've bought this year is a box of mangoes for DS. Last year I bought him a mango cutting tool and a couple of mangoes, this year I upped the ante and bought a whole box. My only question is - do I wrap each mango individually, or do I just wrap the whole box? Of course, there is always the chance that I give it to him early, there are a few dishes that I want to make using mango. What's the weirdest gift you've bought or been given, either this year in in past years?

Do a mango hunt. Hide them through the house and make him find each one.

DS and I today want and bought SIX boxes of Vanilla Cream Pop Tarts for DH.
Last Christmas it was a running joke that we gave him several gifts inside boxes of pop tarts but didn't give him the actual pop tarts until the very end, wrapped in this huge, heavily weighted box.
So this year DD and DS decided we have to outdo last year, so 6 boxes. They are thinking of stacking them like a pyramid and wrapping them as one big weird shaped gift, which will drive him nuts.

A commercial food service-sized holder for foil or plastic wrap (mom and dad do some side catering). Or the hand held sledge hammer for my 12 year old daughter (the hobbies the blacksmith).

A mole trap for my husband! Moles were his nemesis over the summer. I was at Goodwill and happened to see a brand new, never opened trap. It's probably going to be his favorite gift! Lol.

Do a mango hunt. Hide them through the house and make him find each one. But make an answer key because if you lose one and don't find it til Valentine's, well...

I bought one of those too! I also bought a coffee mug that looks like a toilet. I bought a ramen noodle plastic dish for cooking ramen and canned soup in the microwave. I bought peppermint flavored cotton candy called “Reindeer Farts.” I bought some thinking putty slime that is called “Dinosaur Snot.” I bought Poo-pourri. I’m sure there’s more...

It is going to be moist towelettes. My son asked Santa for them yesterday at Skating with Santa at our local ice arena. I would hate for him to be disappointed so I think we will stick a few in his stocking. 😂😂😂

This year would be a case of Monster energy drinks I guess. I don’t really think it’s too weird though.

A horse halter and I got a free lead rope with the purchase. For my 10 yo niece. Not really wierd just not from the toy store. Her letter to Santa included barbed wire, fence posts and wood for a barn for their new place.

What is it with boys and regular food? My answer was going to be a case Kraft Mac & Cheese in a cup for BFFs son because that’s what he wanted. He hoards it in his room. That, and soup. You’d think she doesn’t cook for them and he was starving. But she’s an absolutely amazing cook.
At DH’s extended family Christmas tonight some of the happiest faces were for Nutella and the biggest can of baked beans I have ever seen. Baked beans!

bought my son a book called.. "And then you die of dysentery. " real life adulting lessons from the Oregon Trail. It was so common for kids his age to play the old computer game Oregon Trail..that my son and his buddies 7-8 yrs ago put together a real life version of the game.. imagine 150 young adults running around SF with their wagons and teams.. doing tasks.. etc. They ran it for 6-7 yrs I used to tell him he should put it on his resume.. the organization was a big task.

And the thing is, those batteries will definitely come in handy at some point. Youngest DS is getting a pair of socks custom printed with our (his) cat's face on them. Unfortunately they haven't arrived yet, but he'll love them when they get here. Ah darn it, you just reminded me - I had wanted to get DD a pair with our dog on them. I can't believe I forgot to order them, I saw the bloody ad on Facebook twenty times a day!
