Toddler Trump is at it again. He has notified Speaker Pelosi that he has canceled her upcoming official trip to Brussels, Egypt, and Afghanistan unless she wants to fly commercial. He claims that this need to cancel her 'public relations' trip is due to the shutdown. However it was a long schedued fat finding trip. However, his cabinet and lackeys are all continuing their official travel. And it seems rather underhanded to reveal that she was scheduled to go into a war zone Seems like once again he revealed top secret information. and that this is tit for tat for her request that he delay his State of the Union. Just more confirmation that if the mother fucker doesn’t get his way he retaliates and bullies. Just like a dictator.

At first I was ok with not taking any trips on tax payer money until the government is open again. But then I hear they were going to visit the troops, and that Trump staffers are still taking trips, it just makes me mad. He is such a 12-year old!

Drew Hammill..
”The CODEL to Afghanistan included a required stop in Brussels for pilot rest. In Brussels, the delegation was scheduled to meet with top NATO commanders, U.S. military leaders and key allies–to affirm the United States’ ironclad commitment to the NATO alliance. (1/4)”
”This weekend visit to Afghanistan did not include a stop in Egypt. (2/4)”
”The purpose of the trip was to express appreciation & thanks to our men & women in uniform for their service & dedication, & to obtain critical national security & intelligence briefings from those on the front lines. (3/4)”
“The President traveled to Iraq during the Trump Shutdown as did a Republican CODEL led by Rep. Zeldin. (4/4)”
Rachel Maddow...
“Maybe it was the NATO part that stuck in his craw...”
She may have a point.

trump is now coming across as petty, especially if Pence & company are using commercial airlines to get to Davos. Did you mean military transport? because that is how they travel, not commercial. Reember Mnuchin wanted government plane for his honeymoon.

I think it's true that white evangelicalism has become a political movement rather than a religious one. This article, which originally appeared in the Christian Science Monitor, outlines the difference pretty clearly. The problem, as I see it, with people like the Pences hiding their personal political beliefs behind religious orothodoxy, is that it allows people with those beliefs (like wedding cake bakers) to attempt to circumvent anti-discrimination laws with an argument for religious freedom. I don't think we should be allowing religious freedom exemptions for people who apparently only carry out the discriminatory or oppressive aspects of the religion they claim to follow. From the article.............How is 25% of the population allowed so much say?!?!?! Because they are the ones who are consistently showing up to vote. Unlike the Dems. 😢🙄

Trump is running television ads asking people to call 800-350-6647 and press 1 to demand Schumer and Pelosi fund the wall. Buried at the end 'press 2 if you do not support the wall'. Friends just press 2. Can we do this multiple times?

he just cancelled his aides trip to Davos.. but what an asshole. BUT Melania just flew to Mar A Lago on AF1, this afternoon. Let's remember that Pelosi's trip has been in planning for 6 weeks or more, she is 2nd in line to the Presidency (after Pence), it was not a public relations stunt as Trump implies, and a visit to the troops, following the bombing in Syria (which Trump has barely acknowledged, and is the result of his failed planning), is important for the morale of the troops serving there. The military is currently funded, and is not part of the allocations still pending during the shutdown. The Speaker and the delegation were taking a military transport as is standard for Codel trips. The White House released his letter to Pelosi. Effectively saying "I can disinvite you also'. AND, for security issues, you never reveal when prominent members of government travel to war zones in advance. Trump did , and therefore endangered all of the public servants in the Codel. So they could not continue this trip by flying commercial. (Do commercial flights even fly into Kabul? Can't believe there is much demand for that flight.) But apparently during the shutdown, we can still transport Melania to FLorida, a trip that again we taxpayers are supplying. (And on another note, why is she leaving Thursday afternoon, did she take Barron, doesn't he go to school?). And trump himself flew to Irag for his FIRST visit to deployed troops on December 26, where he spent THREE hours on the ground. The optics on his petulant behavior are beyond belief.

It’s unfuckingbelievable that this happened and even more appalling that other republicans are not saying who did it. Anyone saying that trump hasn’t emboldened people to be this racist bullcrap is a huge part of the problem. “The House floor erupted Thursday after Congress adjourned for the week when an unidentified Republican congressman yelled a controversial and potentially racially charged remark across the aisle as Democratic Rep. Tony Cárdenas was at the podium. “Go back to Puerto Rico!” the lawmaker shouted, punctuating a stream of Republican whooping and hollering at the Democratic majority for holding a voice vote — instead of the normal roll call vote — to pass a continuing resolution that would reopen nine Cabinet departments through Feb. 28 Texas Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee and other Democrats in the chamber shot out of their seats demanding to know who shouted the comment. Cárdenas walked over to the Republican side of the aisle and huddled with some GOP lawmakers, but none stepped forward to admit they had shouted the remark. “It came from the other side of the chamber. ... We don’t know who it is,” Jackson Lee said, declining to speculate on who might have been responsible. It was unclear whether the comment was directed at Cárdenas or Democrats more broadly. Roughly 30 House and Senate Democrats flew to Puerto Rico last weekend to inspect the Hurricane Maria recovery effort and highlight the ongoing work there to address the damage caused by the 2017 storm. “I would hope maybe privately the individual would go to Mr. Cardenas and appropriately apologize,” Jackson Lee said. The C-SPAN cameras were still rolling when the commotion over the Puerto Rico comment broke out. But it would be nearly impossible to definitively identify who shouted the remark because multiple Republican members were murmuring or shouting at the time and the comment came from someone who was not at a microphone or the podium. “We’ve been called names and been told to go back to Mexico, go back to whatever, so many times,” Rep. Sylvia Garcia said. “It’s just unfortunate that it would happen on the floor of the House of Representatives.”

😱😂😂😂 (the laughing is because Buzzfeed has cracked this story. Buzzfeed-the home of every over used meme compiled into “articles” about the Kardashians and cats and weird sex stories published at 2am. Hilarious! I do love seeing actual journalism out of their writers though. I’ve read some really well written articles about a variety of topics over the years. They don’t produce a lot of those, but when they do they’re usually a good read.

ISIS isn't a problem, they're just the JV team, nothing to worry about. Pence was an insensitive asshole stating that ISIS was defeated (hint, they’re not) AFTER American soldiers were just killed, by ISIS just a few hours prior. So yes, ISIS is a problem. Doesn’t help that our illustrious genius 😝😝😉🤣😂🙄🙄🙄🙄 potus is working for Russia, Syria and other foreign adversaries. Clearly I forgot to use the sarcasm font.

To address the buzzfeed thing:
yes, buzzfeed has a lot of clickbait type articles. That’s what pays for buzzfeed news, which is legit journalism. This journalist has won a Pulitzer, I believe. And they’ve broken multiple stories about the administration.

The only thing that gives me pause is that Mueller’s team has been locked down tight, I think I’ve only heard of one minor legit error/leak, and that was with court docs. Otherwise, the only thing we’ve heard has been from some witnesses themselves. This may fall under that category, but if so that is a lot of info from them we don’t usually get.

I missed the detail but on CNN someone just listed several of the court documents that had bits of info that all put together comes to equal Cohen was told to lie..

Friends just press 2. Can we do this multiple times? I just read this is paid for by the House Freedom Fund, the PAC of The Freedom Caucus, also known as the House Freedom Caucus, which is a congressional caucus consisting of conservative and libertarian Republican members of the United States House of Representatives. So this is likely an information gathering exercise to capture phone numbers. My guess is they would add the people who press 1 to their robocall list to ask for money.

Clemson Coach: “Proud to be an American and a member of the National Championship football team, the Clemson University Tigers today. I can’t believe this boy from Fayetteville, NC got to eat McDonald’s with his wife and some of his closest friends in the White House. There’s enough hate and division in the world, especially when it comes to politics. The team loved it. The families loved it, and everyone was so hospitable and welcoming in the White House. It’s a pretty cool tradition that the National Champions get to visit the White House. I don’t know if I will ever get that experience again but I’m blessed to experience it at least once! People can politicize anything. Today and tonight wasn’t about politics, political parties, presidents or what divides us. Tonight was about a group of young men being honored for their extraordinary feat and their unbelievable character. Congrats boys; y’all deserve it! Go Tigers and Go America!” Actually is was a slam at the players and coaches of Clemson University. I get that it is an honor to be invited to the White House, even with trump as president to some it is still an honor. I get that food had to be brought in. But fast food really? There any number of restaurants, including the one in his hotel, that trump could have reached out to and put out a better spread then a bunch of cold hamburgers. trump picked the cheapest way of providing food for his guests since the self proclaimed billionaire was paying for it. It has more to do with good manners and etiquette then politics. And he failed, as did his wife for letting him do it. A coach said it and "the players loved it", how is that a slam against the coaches and players?
