Have you already put all the Christmas away? Do you keep it up until Epiphany? I usually keep our live tree up until New Years but this year I’m getting antsy to get the house back in order. I’m tempted to do it today while I’m off, but we have two sets of grandparents arriving this weekend to do our final Christmas celebrations so I sort of feel like I should leave it. What do you do?

We always leave ours up until Epiphany, but we also decorate late - never before Dec 14th, as that is my younger son's birthday.

I usually take it down just in time for the trash day before New Year. This year, trash day is after Jan 1st, so it will stay up for an extra day or two (we have a real tree).

Usually until after all our family celebrations are over. Our last one is the 30th so I will probably use NYD to take it down. We observe Epiphany in church but I don’t see any obligation to leave the tree up until then.

twelfth night (day before Epiphany) - of course we didn't decorate it until Christmas Eve so... it's not like it's been up since Thanksgiving

When mine comes down just depends when I have time. Last year I was off the whole week of Christmas, so it came down that week. This year I didn't take time off and I have plans all weekend. So I'll probably start taking stuff down New Years day, which I have declared is a pajama day. But it probably won't all be down and put away till that weekend.

I left my dead plum tree up all last year. I took off the ornaments except for some small rustic stars and called it good. Think I'll do the same this year. I love my dead plum tree.

We put it up the day after Thanksgiving, so by Christmas it’s getting pretty dried out and it’s shedding a lot of needles. Ours will probably come down sometime next weekend. The longer we wait, the more of a mess it makes getting it out of the house. I’m kind of ready right now to get my house back in order, but Thanksgiving was early this year so the tree has already been up an extra week. I’ll stop watering it around Friday so the stand is mostly empty by Sunday.

I clicked other - I don't take it down the day after Christmas, but I do take it down before NYE. This year - it will be this weekend, either the 29th or 30th.

My trees are fake so they look great no matter how long they are up. I love looking at them so I only take down when it gets to feeling socially inappropriate. They are always up at least until New Years and then it’s a matter of what’s going on that year for when I have time to take down. And I usually only take one tree down at a time so the take down process could last awhile. It may be mid January until it is all put away (the last to go is usually the upstairs hall tree so people dropping by don’t see it).

We put up our tree the day after Thanksgiving so I prefer it be taken down day after, but my boyfriend disagrees. So this year it's staying up a few extra days. I'm hoping to take down either tomorrow night or Saturday morning.
I have taken most of the other decorations down though. I'm just itching to get things cleaned up and back to normal. It does feel crowded right now.

We don’t put ours up until right before Christmas, so we don’t take it down until the epiphany. We celebrate Christmas as the 12 days of Christmas, so we are just getting started!

I would have taken it down Christmas day if I could have, but I waited a day. As of 6 pm yesterday it was like Christmas never happened.

Growing up, our tree was up until 1/7 of the new year. Now Some years we get a real tree and I leave it up longer—TIL around 12/30–‘cause I just like it. When we use the fake tree, we take it down a couple days after Christmas. We are out of town right now, so I’ll take it down as soon as we get home.m

I take it down anytime between New Years and the Epiphany. Truthfully, usually I am scrambling to get it down the night before the scheduled day that the Merry Mulch people pick up our trees. If I miss that pickup I have to cart it to the dump/mulch pile myself. And unfortunately that might involve having to cut the tree in pieces so that it will fit into the vehicle. And then having pine needles showing up for 6 months after...and don’t ask me how I know this.

I take it down New Year's day, because the family likes it.
Honestly, I'm already tired of it.

I take it down for whenever the last tree pick up garbage day is. The years we also put up my artificial trees, those can stay up for quite some time!! One year we left up my white tree, and then decorated it for winter (removed anything obv Christmas looking, did a woodland thing), Valentine’s Day, St Patrick’s, and then Easter. We took it down after Easter because I ran out of decorating ideas. My kids still sometimes mention wanting to do a full year of the white tree, decorated differently for every holiday throughout the year.

Epiphany at the earliest, but some years I take the ornaments off and the r/w/g lights, and put blue/white lights and some snowflakes on it and have it up into January. It’s very wintery and peaceful, and artificial so not a problem to have it up longer.
I also keep a smaller 4 foot lit tree in the dining room year round, I change out the ornaments monthly.

I would have taken it down Christmas day if I could have, but I waited a day. As of 6 pm yesterday it was like Christmas never happened. I have to laugh at this because I always see one tree already in the discard/pickup pile when I come home from work on Christmas night (well to be factual around 12:20 am on the 26th). I make it a point to look and when I see one it just makes me giggle a little.

I leave mine up until New Year's Day or the day after. I feel like the week after Christmas is when I finally have the time to enjoy it.

Anytime between now and January 6th. Usually about 1st/2nd of January. Probably this coming Saturday unless something happens and put paid to my plans!
