We take it down Jan. 1st. Most of my friends take it down the day after Christmas or New Years. They usually put it up after Thanksgiving, so we're all ready to take it down when Christmas is over.

We usually take the tree down on the 27th. Today! But DH convinced me to leave it up a bit longer this year.
I would leave it up much longer, but my birthday is the 29th. I like the tree down and house cleaned up before me birthday. If I wait until after my birthday, I always felt like all of it fell to me. If I say I want it down before my birthday, everyone pitches in. So I learned.

Mine will be up until first week in January..I’m in no hurry, I love the smell and it’s near where I usually sit to read—so when everyone goes back to a regular schedule (work/school) I can do my thing and relax, read, and chill!
We get our tree fresh cut locally, so it’s only 2 weeks cut right now. It stay up awhile.

I usually decorate on Thanksgiving night, and put it all away on Christmas night.

We didn’t get it up until the 18th, so I’m in no hurry to take it down. DH half seriously jokes that he will be shocked if it’s down by Valentines Day. And I have been known to leave it up even later than that. Luckily this year, I went minimal, so it won’t take long to put away.

Some time between 12/26 and 12/30, whenever I have time between work and life. I’m over all the extra clutter and ready for it to be gone.

I took everything down today. The cleaners are in tomorrow so it seemed like the best time.

For about the last 5 years it’s the 27th and this year is no different. In fact I just finished and now I’m curled up with a dog or two getting settled in to watch the Call the Midwife Christmas special. 😁

Our tree goes up on the 3rd December (ds's birthday on the 2nd so never before that) and comes down by New Year.
Not really feeling very festive this year for some reason I'm ready to take it down now but will wait a couple more days.

I took it down yesterday. It was upsetting my partially blind collie dog. So,we took it down and now she is not fussing about it.

Through epiphany. It all comes down the first weekend after epiphany.
I'd leave it up all year if I could figure it out.lol I just miss the glow of the twinkly lights once it comes down.

I don't take mine down.
It's artificial. It lives in a corner of my dining area (open dining room/entry/kitchen/living room). It is exactly the same depth as this partial wall that's next to the apartment door and it fits perfectly in the space. Anyhow, I don't want to have to disassemble it, ever, and there's no place for me to store it if I keep it in one piece, so it stays there. And the lights make me happy and they're on a timer so they go off at like 1 in the morning and it makes a really lovely nightlight.

Until January 3. January 2nd I take outside lights down unless they are snowed under. After that, I take down tree lights and then the artificial tree.

We just took ours down this morning. Dh, dd and I were all up before the buttcrack of dawn and just decided to get it done and get dgd’s toys sorted out and rearranged. It’s now 5:05 am and it’s all packed away. It’s nice to have our living room back!

isn't it weird how the room always looks so bare, and so much bigger, when the Christmas decorations and tree are put away?
Our tree is standing in the corner where the dog bed should go, so the dogs will be glad when the tree is gone and they can barrel into the living room and take a huge running leap into the bed again, lol. So I'll probably take the tree down this Sunday.
