Our nephew and his wife have lost their mind! She is ready to give birth anytime. We’re excited to welcome a precious baby girl into our family!! They have not shared the baby’s name with anyone- wanting to keep it a surprise- to the point that this weekend, they put the baby’s name on her wall in her room, so now, no one can go in the room. Whatever, that’s fine, and fun. So my DH had to go help with a repair, and got to see the baby’s room, with the name....... P!CKLE D3ANNA LAST NAME. P!CKLE! NOT A NICKNAME, HER REAL NAME!!! DH snapped a pic because he knew i wouldn’t believe him! I just can’t!!

There should be a law against naming kids after food or automobiles. I'd also like to adjectives....I've seen way too many Preciouses, Fabulouses, and Essensses lately. And letters I cannot even begin to pronounce.

We’re going to need more about this story later. Like how other people react and what the parents say about it. That’s honestly so stupid of a name. It’s really bad. Hopefully they will drop that idea quickly and go with her middle name. But still that idiotic name will be what’s on her record at school and she’s going to be haunted by it. Society should get to veto some names for parents who are too stupid to make a decent choice.

But, but, but...is it possible they are trolling your husband? Knowing he would tell you the name? And you would be shocked and appalled. And they are having a good laugh at you thinking they are naming their precious baby girl Pickle?
Maybe her name is really Deanna and they put the Pickle on there so family would sneak a peak and freak out?

What kind of job are they expecting her to get when she's an adult? Can you see an executive named Pickle? A lawyer? For goodness sake, think people, THINK! Horse scrap there's still time. Go buy a copy of the book Freakonomics, put a bookmark at the chapter on naming your child, and give it to them. Please. |

No wonder they are not sharing the name. That is ridiculous. Poor kid. Maybe it will fit the child and work out. I had a coworker that her daughter was born on the 4th of July. They wanted to name her Sparkles but because of peer pressure gave her that as her middle name. She has always been called Sparkles and it just fits her.i believe she had her name legally changed as an adult. Just reversed her first and middle name to what she should have been all along.

Maybe they are playing with you so if anyone peaked in the room they still wouldn't know the name. And now they'd know if anyone peaked since they are telling everyone it's Pickle.

Those women might still use those names at Harvard or when sitting on the Junior League board, but they always have a legit real name like Meredith or Kathryn to pull out when sitting on a Fortune 500 board. |

Call me crazy but the name Pickle doesn’t bother me and I really kind of like it.  . Then again, I also LOVE the name Cricket...I blame Young and the Restless for that. It’s the names with 15 extra vowels that makes my skin crawl. |

I think the parents are having a laugh at other's expense. Either they're a super fun couple and planned this or they are people who are going to name their kid pickle. Gosh, school won't be fun for that poor child. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that they are pranking everyone and thought of the name pickle one day when they were joking about pickles and ice cream. I hope...

Our oldest daughter's nickname has been Pickle since she was an infant. We even dressed her as a pickle for her first Halloween. But it's NOT her real name. Good grief. Here she is in her pickle costume. ❤️  |
