This is crazy because I’m probably one of the most loyal NSBR lurkers who hardly ever posts but has read everything from probably 2003 or 2004! I remember hairflips, and the Birdgate! I remember some scandal about a pea’s son’s prom, Promgate? I remember a pea called Athena who had two sons. My favorite scandal was the Garden Girls’ secret forum posts, dissing the various peas and they got found out, LOL! It was all fun for me cause I was never involved, just amused at everything I’d read.... it was like a soap opera lifestyle entertainment forum all wrapped in one and its kept me here this long!

After reading this wonderful trip down memory lane "So there!" suddenly popped into my head. Does anyone remember that scandal? I think it was Stacy ?? who sent an email reply all instead of just to the sender? Does that sound right? I cannot remember what she said

I would occasionally read the meat blog out of curiosity but I never posted. One time they mentioned me- it wasn’t nice. I was kind of jazzed, though, because I wasn’t a high posting pea (lower tier, ha!) and I was glad to know someone noticed me, even just to say crap about me. Now and then I'd get curious and read it. One poster made fun of me because I sewed these little fabric Christmas trees. They were really simple and I just had learned to sew, but they weren't god awful. Of all the things to drag me for...lol. I was like, "Really, bitches? That's all you got?" Haha! I ventured over there once or twice out of curiosity, and one day someone had posted crap about me. I had mentioned on a thread one time that I hated the colour grey (I can't remember the context, what we were discussing), and one of the nasties on that blog pointed out that I was wearing *gasp* a GREY top in my profile pic. How can I hate grey if I'm wearing grey?!?! It was such a ridiculously minor thing to drag me for, but for some silly reason I was actually quite hurt that someone felt the need to be a bitch. Now, when I think about it, I'm more like you: "That's all you got?" but at the time..... And to be honest, I could think of a ton of nastier things to say about me! PS. That is NOT an invitation to ANY of you to let me have it haha!

I've read most, but not all, of this thread so I may have missed it. Has anyone mentioned the Nurse Kitty meltdown? I don't even remember what it was about, but it was the talk of the pod for ages afterwards.

I think Amelia bloomer was trying to remember her upthread. Anyone remember the male "mod" that Jeff brought onto NSBR to try to reign everyone in? He got tangled up with the late night peas and got scared and ran off. Then they had Sweet tiny Jamie for a bit but she, too, got tired and left. 😂😂

The only men I really remember are Ray (married, in the East, no kids) Jonda ZDY (photographer, deceased, lived in Florida) SlowerJoe (in NY, now in FL-a child, but only recently) I'm in Az. I feel liked I'd remember if a prominent NSBRer lived here. Your description isn't ringing any bells. There were a few others that I can remember:
- Trevorsdad - some moderator guy who was an ass - an ex-military guy who came on the board and if I remember correctly, had a fling with a married Pea - the creepy Feeder Lynn guy who bad a weird fettish about feeding obese women
The ass moderator wasn’t Brian was it?

I read 14 pages of this on Friday and just logged back in and it's up to 24. I'm never going to get caught up. I was on the old board for a number of years, but I don't remember where I came from. I didn't post much because some people were so quick to hand slap and pile on, so I stuck to the easy posts. I pretty much stopped posting all together when someone pointed out the things being said about me on the blog.

I have loved reading every post of this awesomely epic thread! Such great memories!
I also came over here from the AOL scrapbooking boards. There was a “Volt” there, and I’ve always assumed that Voltagain here is the same person. I think she’s the one who mentioned this great scrapping board. This was waaayyy back in the day.
I would say that I pretty much lurked on the scrapping board for quite a long time, because I was pretty skeered of the NSBR people—they could be so crazy mean! But the reality is, I remember almost all of the stories listed here, so I must have lurked there more than I remember!! I used to share some of the stories with DH...”You won’t believe what this lady just said.....!”
I did check out the Smack board now and then, which is why I’ve remained a lurker. It was so surprising to me how vile people could be, the same people who must have been much more moderate on the regular board. They would pick someone apart for pretty much nothing. Like hating grey while wearing a grey shirt, lol. But that taught me how brave people are when they are behind a keyboard. And sometimes not in a good way. That and the outing of Mrs T has kept me mostly a lurker.
The story I remember is the lady whose husband was on a business trip, and she learned something scary about him, and had decided to disappear. I don’t believe she ever came back to update, and I’ve always wondered if she is ok. Maybe she’s one of the stories on “Forensic Files”. Who knows? I worried about her for a long time.
I will say that being in this group, both over at two peas and here with the refugees, has been an awesome education, and opened my mind to so much. I’d like to thank you all for that. This is just a great place!

My favorite memory of the board didn't actually happen on the board at all! Creating Keepsakes University (CKU) came to Dallas around 2004/005 and we planned a huge 2 peas dinner. It was so much fun! One of the ladies that attended ended up being one of my best friends in high school that I had lost touch with. Her name was Heidi and sadly we have lost touch again! I can't remember what her 2 peas name was.

I was at Safeway today and remembered a big discussion about whether you should scurry across the parking lot if someone is waiting for you to cross. It was either “you should get out of the way as fast as you can to respect my time” or “fuck off, I’ll cross the street at normal speed and you can wait because I have the right of way”. I don’t remember what side I was on, I just remember a lot of passion about it.

She was here under a couple of different names, Bluebird was the last one I think. She mentioned having a new boyfriend (who I hope she's very happy with) then disappeared again.

One of the most eye-opening things for me at the old 2 Peas and even here is the seemingly innocuous things that end up being heated discussions/pile ons. One I remember from years ago was on the topic of stores reserving parking spaces for new or expectant moms. I don't remember all the details, but I do remember someone who thought they are dumb and said she will park anywhere she damn well pleases. LOL That turned out to be quite a thread.

I am smiling reading all of these post (both good and bad memories) and realize how much I miss them
My BEST (and worst) memory of the old board was the love and support we got after Kaitlyn died .. I truly felt each and everyone of you that were "with" us that horrible night .. and it is something that our family will never forget .. good bad or ugly I LOVE my 2Peas family <3

I lurked more than posted on the previous board because we lived overseas and the timing just never seemed right for the movement of the posts I was interested in.
One memory I have that I'm surprised no one has mentioned is the woman who turned over all of the suggestive magazines in the checkout line so that her husband wasn't *tempted*
If I remember right, it wasn't pornography {because who puts those in the checkout anyway} but any magazine with a swimsuit, cleavage or other *sexy* cover.
I also remember Lou. I think her user name was Blackberry Lou. I think we were at the same base for a short time, but never got to meet.

I remember one woman cannot remember her name but she had long dark straight hair (possibly Latina) who posted pictures of herself asking about her clothes, she was curvy and all the clothes were very form fitting, and one of her outfits had her sporting camel toe like no other.
I want to say her pea name began with a “S” but I wouldn’t swear by it.
Peas were honest and the thread resulted in a big pile on...

Laura Solomon? Wasn’t she the one who had a uterine prolapse but didn’t know the names of the female anatomy even after having eight or nine kids?

I can't remember how I found 2Peas but it's been quite a few years! I was a lurker on the old board then decided to join when 2PRefugees was started.
I remember a lot of the threads shared!
Two threadsI remember that haven't been mentioned (that I've seen):
1. The pea whose husband volunteered her home for Thanksgiving dinner without asking her if it was OK. He said he would take care of everything, even though he had no idea what was involved with producing a Thanksgiving dinner. The Pea did what she had planned to do (clean the house) then let her husband take over. She still tried to help him by suggesting that maybe he needed to run to the store to get (whatever), or start (whatever), etc. He kept saying he had everything under control. Thanksgiving day she gave us a play by play account of what was happening. I laughed so hard at her commentary. She was so good natured about it too--even to those peas who criticized her for leaving her husband to sink or swim on his own. That was one of the most amusing threads!
2. One started by MaryMary, I think, maybe in response to another one. I can't really remember the details anymore, but I think she mentioned she was hungry and asked if anyone could bring her something to eat. The whole thing turned into the most hilarious thread of offering to bring the most ridiculous food items. A lot of them were making fun of LDS culture (those terrible Jello salads with everything except the kitchen sink!). It was all in good fun and another thread that really made me laugh.
