I've almost finished my Nordic Wind shawl, I bought nine balls of yarn and in an attempt not to have any leftovers it's turning out huge! I'm hoping it's going to be lovely and warm for Winter. I'll post some pics of it and my progress on the Earl Grey shawl later (when I can find an uncluttered, clean spot!!)
I fell down a shawl rabbit hole on Ravelry last night and added quite a few patterns to my library
Let's see what everyone is working on, I'm loving all the different crafts people are sharing.

I am 6 rows to done on my Woodland blanket. My deadline was mid August. It will be a gift. As I'm getting closer I've been debating an edge but everyone says no edge. And an edge would require more yarn purchased. I have some time this weekend. So I'm hoping to finish.

I am working on some cardigans and jackets for my DGD. Unfortunately, I am making great progress on the knitting, but fall down with the seaming, so I now have 2 projects that I can’t continue with, and am considering casting on something new, rather than sew 2 very short shoulder seams in order to finish one of the current projects.

This is my Nordic Wind, it definitely needs blocking but I haven't got the room to do it just now. I love the colours
I'm chuffed to bits with my make one stitches, they're hardly visible

lainey the Nordic wind is gorgeous. The shade of blue you started with is just stunning. I love the colors chosen.

I worked on this log cabin quilt a bit over the weekend... I need to make more blocks to square it up since I’m setting it on point.

Beautiful work lainey and ashley. I’ve been doing holiday cover at work and my time is very limited. My crafting is suffering! My hands were itching to do something so I have started a very simple cross stitch design as, with redecorating, I couldn’t find the one I was in the middle of. I spent a couple of evenings on the new one, walked into the spare bedroom and the WIP was right in front of me. I had even looked there earlier. I’ll carry on with the new one. RME.

ashley How was your dd's prom last night? I assume it went fine. I actually have not heard from her or seen her very much. My sister took her shoe shopping, my mom took her to have her hair done. No one talked to me about anything prom related at all. I saw her briefly in the afternoon, her dress appears to have arrived at some point and appeared to fit.

I love it! What color will you choose? I’d probably go for an alternative yarn in a denim blue. Don’t encourage me!

I scrapped! I just got a new computer, so needed a new desktop image, I also bought an updated copy of PaintShop Pro and wanted to see if I could still use it. Here's the new cat desktop...all the cats I've ever owned with Miss Emmeline front and center:

The Peach Blush Parfait is lovely, and I like the Peacock Blue combination too. I’d love to start knitting again, but I’m not sure how supple my fingers are for it these days. And I’m sure I have a couple of (very old) ' unfinished symphonies' packed away somewhere...

I made a couple of arm warmers for a former Pea. We are FB friends and she was on the old board but I don't believe she ever signed up on this board.

Since summer started I haven't taken the time to crochet or meet with the ladies I crochet with. I've been trying to learn Portugese knitting but my brain and eyes refuse to comprehend the videos I've watched. Any tips, tricks?

I can't help because I had to look up what Portuguese knitting was, how interesting. I've never seen that technique before. Good luck with your learning, sounds like it creates less strain on the hands.

I need to look it up too!
I’ve been knitting for nearly 60 years and only last year discovered there were other ways to do it than my normal English style. Funnily enough a video for continental knitting popped up on my FB feed just yesterday. When I get a moment I intend having a go, it looked intriguing although purling looked very awkward.

I picked up a gradient yarn cake from Sostrene Grenes, the colours are a bit out of my comfort zone, grey to a very dark aubergine. I'm thinking maybe the Kalinda shawl

I like that lainey. That shawl perfectly compliments a gradient yarn. It looks a lot like the green tea tipple whirl I'm working with. I plan to meet up with a friend today and work a bit on my Buddha shawl. I am probably about two thirds of the way done with it. I finished the last row of my afghan last night. This morning I am weaving in ends. I have decided I will add an edge. Just a simple one as I don't have much yarn left.

I did some scrapbooking! My supplies are ancient but heyho I enjoyed it I love them! I miss paper scrapping...I want to get back to it but just don't have the time or space. (I can crochet/knit while watching TV but have to spread out my supplied on the kitchen table to scrap and then put them all away). I wish I had a dedicated craft room, then maybe I'd be able to get back to it.

Decided to give up on Portugese knitting for now. I started a new shawl earlier this year and stopped working on it at the beginning of the summer. Decided to pick it up again. I have a bad habit of accidentally increasing so had to pull out a bunch of stitches and redo. Also, finally figured out how to do a magic circle.

Hi all! I am a newbie at crocheting. I joined a craft group and they started teaching me to crochet. I didn't think I would like it but now I am HOOKED! This is a "granny square" blanket and I have started another one. Granny Square Blanket by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr

I bought some of this Cynet Boho Misty thinking it was grey (along with the Quartz and Peacock to make a shawl from the Delicious Crochet Shawls book) it turned out to be quite brown and I'm not sure now if those colours go together!
This is the shawl is was intended for
