Ugh. I sat down today to cut down my 2x2 pocket pages to fit my 4x6 album. And all the pockets are hazy! I don't recall them being this hazy before now. WTF. They’ve been hazy for awhile. I just try to ignore it 😑

Just received an email from AE that my 3x8 Variety Page Protector Pack are out of stock and I am being refunded. I ordered them the first 2 minutes of the sale! And they just realized this? So now I wonder did anyone else order them and receive them? ps-My order just shows being shipped today. Although a "label" was printed on Friday...and I worked in a ship out room, I know that only means they plugged it into the computer. Your package can sit there for a month before it actually ships. Yep I received mine. I ordered a few days in and my order was delivered October 8.

Inked continues to be messy (bad pun alert). Quelle surprise. So sorry for everyone missing stuff in their orders or waiting so long to have their parcel shipped. With the 3x8 variety pack missing and I assume being low in stock before the DD order period began, I can't help but wonder if so many people on Ali's team, including herself, went for a different format to try and take some pressure off the format that they couldn't supply many people with... Tinfoil hat territory, I know, I know.
Still haven't purchased any December goodies. I think this is a first since I started scrapbooking? Oh well.

I’m sure there was a bit of a mad rush on the variety pages once some of her DT shared sneaks of projects using the PPs with two 3x8 slots.

I just checked Ali's shop and could find both the 6x8 variety pack with the 2 3x8 slots and the classic 3x8 variety pack in stock.

OMG! Those ARE the ones I didn't get? WTH? There is no way they didn't know they had more coming. Why wouldn't they just say they would ship them when they came in? Even the fact that they didn't notify me till the day my shipment arrived was very odd. **I just checked on my order page. When I click on the link for the page protectors it takes me to a broken page link. So I'm guessing they changed the stock number on them. How convenient.

They likely had your parcel and others packed up and waiting for a fresh order of that 3x8 variety pack to be delivered. Variety packs were delivered but by then, the warehouse workers had already taped up those parcels that were still waiting for the extra item so they decided to cancel this item (too expensive to open + redo) and put the new batch in inventory under a fresh stock number as you mentioned or someone in the warehouse didn't understand this was an old item being restocked and inventorised them as a new thing. So sorry for you. Now you have to repay shipping to get them sent. Ridiculous.

How have I never seen penis cat before!? That is HILARIOUS. Especially because it just looked like a cute cat until I read about it being "penis cat" and NOW I CAN'T UNSEE IT. OMG.
The FJ story is so annoying, especially because I saw it on here almost exactly 24 hours after it was posted and so it was obviously gone by the time I went to check. I can't really make out the fine print from the photo that was shared here, but I get the idea. If she wants to share important info in stories, at least have the decency to highlight it! I'm happy I decided to not wait for her release because it's always too late for my liking, but I'm sorry for those of you that are waiting... hopefully once it releases she will ship super fast!
I have not yet begun my foundation pages or any setting up really, I am still waiting for snowflake to release on SB.com... it has to be any day now right? Once I get that I will probably go through my old stash and create a smaller selection of supplies to work with (from this year I have AE's main kit + plan to get some of CP's snowflake). Really though, I have been SO BEHIND on scrapbooking with our recent move and everything else going on... my project life is only completed through the first week of JULY. I have NEVER been even close to this far behind before. On top of that, my kits are piling up. I have 3 drawers that I rotate the 3 most recent kits in and use the kits released in a specific month to SB that month. I now have TWO full months worth of kits just stashed waiting for drawers to open up.

Aww, thanks! I have been trying to check in here & there but I just haven't had that much time.
Everything has gone smoothly so far, and the stress is definitely reduced now that we have completed move 1 of 2. But being in a temporary situation, plus it being an apartment that is much smaller than we're used to and having half of our stuff in storage, is really stressful in itself, especially on the pets. But, they just poured the foundation on our new house so hopefully this winter will fly by and I can't wait to get settled into the new place early next year!
Did you have the photos of the items in the AE advent calendar? I really wanted to see those if you could send them my way... mostly just curious.

I was waiting and waiting and waiting for Snowflake on SB.com and it's finally there except... not all of it. The puffy stickers I really want are still showing as "coming soon." Should I wait for them!? UGHHHHHH.

Honestly I wouldn't wait. I've done that before and meanwhile other items that I wanted have sold out. All depends on how much you want something.

My KP order arrived today ( a day earlier than expected. Yay!) I got the December Details kit, which is lovely. The 6X8 red letter press # page is missing, however. Ugh. I will contact CS. I also got the Jingle All The Way Kit. Also lovely. Curious to me is the 3X4 letterpress card with the names of the reindeer. She used the uncommon (per Wikipedia) spelling for Donner. She used Donder. I’ve not seen it spelled this way before 🤷🏻♀️ My gift is the color 3X8 cards. Very nice.

To order the few things I want from Snowflake on sb.com or to wait until one of my French online scrap vendors has it, hmm... Like lasteve1, one of my must-haves is not available (layered tags). In my experience, sb.com waits as long as they feel they can to get as much as possible in from a collection. Those puffy stickers and layered tags could take 3 days or up to a couple weeks to be in stock. It's a gamble! Anyone else tempted to mix Heritage by Maggie Holmes with Snowflake? Colour schemes are extremely close. Same designer as well.

I've definitely never heard of Donder. Sounds a bit like Thunder? ETA: You might find this article enlightening, groovy . There actually is a Dutch-American influence for Donner/Donder ("donder en bliksem", Dutch for "thunder and lightning").

My snowflake arrived! But I’m out of town. I asked my 11 year old to open it up and show it to me.
She needs a lesson! I have no idea what it’s like. The gold puffy stickers look real cool. She was just taking stuff out of the bag and putting it back in.
I need to show her some unboxing videos. Not home until Saturday.

My KP order is missing the Red letter press numbers page too and my 4x6 white cards are hole punched upside down.

And thanks for the background, I was wondering the same thing when I saw the KP card. I think of the name as "Donner" so I would have a hard time using that card, even though I see it's not technically incorrect.

I think of the name as "Donner" so I would have a hard time using that card, even though I see it's not technically incorrect. You totally *have* to use that card now! How cool is it that you live near a town where they printed a poem that would lead to such an iconic Christmas song and story about Santa's reindeers? It appears that you can find a facsimile of the original Troy Sentinel issue containing Account of a Visit from St. Nicholas at the Troy Public Library. I think it's really fun and interesting to read such little anecdotes. The US is a true melting pot. Funny that the Dutch Sinterklaas is part of the origin story of Santa's reindeers (especially since the Dutch have him on a horse that is called "Slecht-Weer-Vandaag" in some modern versions of the tale, that literally means "bad weather today", seemingly a wink to Donder and Blixem/Bliksem.) I love that KP's card has led me down this Christmassy literary rabbit hole.
