Had to do some quick calculation, but evidently I'm 53 on Friday. I'm so very in!

I'm in! I turned 50 in May. I was angsty about it but had a great party and so many of my friends are too, so we call it the Cool Kids Club. I don't feel whatever I thought 50 would feel like. I didn't have kids, and just got together with the love of my life so I feel like life is just beginning, not half over. I do wish we had more time. I feel about 36, I think. Maybe I will go there and stay. 😉

It's hard to believe I'm 53. I can clearly remember, like it was yesterday, graduating from high school and getting excited about college.

Sounds like a great idea! Seems like the 50's bring lots of questions as well as complaints It's an interesting time! As I turned 50 last year I was looking at 2 different surgeries for two different problems. I'm about to turn 51 and both surgeries are behind me and i'm feeling good. But I often feel like I've got different questions that relate to my age so i'd love a weekly post.

Fun! I felt great until literally the week before I turned 54! My body then fell apart. Late 40's, 50, 51, 52, 53--those were easy and I never, ever felt that age. Now my brain feels about 34 but my body has literally fallen apart. I even got a handicap tag for my 54th birthday and my new issues! Ugh! Yep, not a happy woman about my age anymore.

My biggest hurdle is osteoarthritis - I posted above that I had three joint replacements at 42. The night sweats, lack of sleep are, all over body aches and feeling like I weigh three times my weight lately are ticking me off. A positive thing as I've aged though is my leg hair is less and less. I no longer have dark hair on my legs and though I can feel some hair, you can't see it. I only have to shave once a week. However, some of those hairs have migrated to my face!

I'm 47 and I'm in. I feel much older these days. I wear progressive lenses and walk with either a cane or walker most days! I miss my 30's! LOL

Nah, you are a young Spring chicken. That 50 ship sailed for me decades ago. I decided I may have a chronological age, but that is NOT *my* age. My plan is to just transcend that whole age thing. That should work, right? Works for me. I know I am old but I don't feel much different than I did at forty.

I’m 61 but VERY immature! Maybe I could get an IEP that states I could participate even though I’ve aged out. 😂

50 this year but no kids. You still want me? Why ever not? I could just start the conversation about a thought, challenge, whine, rant for the wk, and we go from there? sort of like the what's for dinner, what did you read, etc threads? A way for us 50 yr olds to support each other? I don't really see anything else like this out there, and I feel more comfortable chatting with you all.

There was a comment about empty nesters, and I suddenly thought ohhhhh, I don't fit that. But I'm very happy to grumble, ache and glow along with everyone else.
