Together.
ETA: I would have to wash my kitchen towels with another load anyway because there is no way that I would have even a small load of kitchen towels each week.

I wash them all together but I use a ton of kitchen towels and dish clothes. I use several new ones every day. I don't use used towel or cloths around food.

I do a lot of cooking, am pretty fussy about using fresh kitchen towels/cloths frequently. When damp, pre laundering, I have room in the garage to spread them out to dry. Then I put them in a pile until there is enough for a small to medium load (our machine is large capacity). I am totally grossed out by the thought of washing bath towels with kitchen towels!

Together unless it is a kitchen towel that can’t be bleached.

I wash them separately. I use a lot of kitchen towels & wash cloths, several per day. I also use cloth placemats & napkins which I wash with the towels so I have a full load weekly.

Generally separately, since the kitchen towels are more heavily soiled than the bath towels.

Together. I hand wash the kitchen towels out first and let them dry before I add them to the bath towels. We are only two people and don't have big loads of towels to wash separate.

Both.
I wash the family’s bath towels and kitchen towels together. But I have my own stash of “good towels” dh can’t even use and I wash these separately.
The reason I have my own is the that rest of the family is incapable of not creating a mildew-y damp scent on their towels and I HATE that. I don’t do it because I properly let my towel air dry and so I refuse to have to use towels that never quite smell perfect again after being funked up.

Never together. I always keep the following items separate--bath towels, kitchen towels, sheets. I use enough kitchen towels that every other week I have a load. Same with towels and sheets. Plus, I never wash clothes with any of these three items as well. I guess I'm just really weird about my laundry.

Together. For those who do them separately, what’s the big deal? Which towels are you afraid will contaminate the other towels? They all come out clean, so I don’t understand!

Together unless I have a full load of each. Or with sheets. Or with socks and underwear with a boost of Oxiclean if they seem to need a little freshening up.
I am not at all worried about things mixing together in the wash other than fabric types, I wouldn’t wash towels with my nice shirts because they will drag on the shirts more than I want.

I use hair towels and plop shirts - those are covered in hair - and regular towels are covered in body hair. Just kinda gross to think about. Plus I use so many kitchen towels it’s no problem to have a load.

I wash everything together. I use one new kitchen towel a day. It we take me a month or more to come up with a full load of kitchen towels.

I wash them separately because I usually have enough kitchen towels for a load of their own but I have nothing against washing them together

Separately. We have a ton of kitchen towels and rags and use fresh ones each day. It takes 2 or 3 weeks to make a complete load and I wash them on the sanitize cycle. Bath towels are all white so I don’t mix because of that, not worried about germs due to the cycle.

Yes together, the process gets them clean...that’s the point of it so no grossness/contamination factor comes into play.

Separately.
I use white flour sack towels the most in my kitchen, they with the dish cloths get bleached. I have a few colored kitchen towels that get washed separately. I keep them separate from bath towels too. Although it's more out of the fact that other cooks in my house are not good about setting the kitchen towels to dry properly. I can't tell you how many I've thrown away because the mildew splotching was still visible after a couple of bleach washings. Although they've been good for the last 6 months after my head exploded the last time. And I'm fairly neurotic about my kitchen towels. I go through several a day, so no problem with coming up with a load.
For bath towels, I separate my white bath towels and throw them in with white socks and t-shirts that get bleached.

If they are white I wash with towels and I use bleach. If they are colored I have to wash separately and wait until I can create a load.

Together. Sometimes you peas really wear me out. I was thinking the same damn thing.. I get exhausted just reading some of the processes the peas go through.. I only have probably 12-14 dishcloths plus some random stuff.. I can't image what I would do with them just to wait and clean.. and they are not that grubby...my laundry room is next to the kitchen.. I use and toss in. Whatever happens, happens. Nothing so far. "just waking up from my afternoon nap" I wouldn't have time for my afternoon nap!! LOL
