I love this thread. It makes me happy to see this board get back to its roots from 19-20 years ago and discuss the really important things in life. My confession: I prefer Miracle Whip to Mayonnaise. So much so, that one of my favorite things to eat in the whole wide world is a grilled cheese sandwich, immediately opened and then slathered on the inside with Miracle Whip. Blame my parents. All of us kids ate grilled cheese that way when growing up. I use Miracle Whip in my deviled eggs, too. Everywhere I take them, people love them and want to know what my “secret ingredient” is. Ha. It’s artery clogging Miracle Whip! DH's grandfather called it salve. He'd say to grandma "where is that salve?" I think it's disgusting! DH loves it.

Go ahead and flame me, but canned frosting is a crime against humanity.
I ate all the gross things as a kid. My mom was a terrible cook. She's pretty good now.
I love Dairy Queen's chili dog.

I don't usually eat hot dogs because they give me wicked bad heartburn, but I'll always have one when we're in Maine. They make these natural casing hot dogs that are dyed magenta pink, and they're the bomb. I love those fluorescent pink hot dogs.

Raos tomato sauce is as good as my homemade so I no longer make my own.
I like unripe white nectarines.

I love black licorice! I bought a small bag of All Sorts today and could barely control myself to not eat the whole bag. One fell on the floor and, yes, I picked it up & ate it :-p I love it too!!!

True confessions! My favorite kind of thread. My mom, back in the 1960’s, only cooked from a can or box. A staple meal was Kraft Mac & cheese. But she went a step above & added 1/2 jar of Cheese Whiz. Cheese Whiz was some kind of soft processed fake cheese spread & it made Mom’s Mac & cheese so creamy & delicious! Can you even buy Cheese Whiz now? I haven’t made any of that in 30 years. Mom fed me fried baloney sandwiches, Vienna sausages & deviled ham on crackers with Miracle Whip spread. It’s amazing I’m in good health at 62. I wouldn’t eat any of that stuff and haven’t most of my adult life, but I can still remember how it all tasted & now I’m hungry. I have to admit, I put some cheese whiz in my homemade mac & cheese (real shredded cheese, cheese whiz, mayo and worcestershire). It was my grandmother's recipe.

When I'm sick, the only chicken noodle soup I really want is Lipton's. I don't add as much water as listed and let it simmer until the noodles are super soft. Me too!

But the convenience overrides my annoyance... LOL

Even though I've been eating whole foods, plant based for the past 5 years, once every summer my son and I get 2 dozen Chespeake Bay Crabs steamed with Old Bay seasoning at our local place and have a feast. Do I feel guilty that these poor crabs were steamed alive so I can eat them? Hell yeah! Super guilty. But they are my favorite food and I only eat them once every year. They are so delicious and we are lucky to live right next to the Cheaspeake Bay so we get them really fresh. That's my food confession. Hanging my head in shame now. I feel like this is the most confessional confession on the whole thread! I did not see that one coming! =) I've had a lot of practice making confessions- I'm Catholic

I just read the chicken thigh thread and it had me thinking about things I eat that other folks might think are gross. 1. I love DRY, overcooked chicken breast. If a chicken breast is too juicy, I'm convinced it's undercooked and I can't eat it. 2. I love shitty Kraft boxed mac & cheese. I know it's shitty. I don't care. What are your food confessions? I adore the blue box Mac and Cheese. I also like canned peas.

I haven't seen this one but I love mashed potato sandwiches with lots of pepper - best with leftover Thanksgiving mashed potatoes. I also eat peanut butter out of the jar with a spoon.

I like pineapple on my pizza and prefer bbq sauce over tomato sauce.
I dip my pizza in litehouse homestyle ranch dressing.
I have to peel an apple to eat it (can't stand the skin!!!)

I may have been known to make gravy from a packet, stir in a can of chicken, then make instant mashed potatoes also from a packet and spoon the chicken-gravy over top. It's the perfect, quick RV dinner. IMO 😆

I just popped in to say I'm eating a well-seasoned but deliciously dry chicken breast for dinner.

It’s no secret, I like Peeps and I like them best when they’re so stale that they crack when you bite them. But the problem is everybody who knows me knows this so EVERYBODY buys them for me. I literally have an entire shelf in my pantry full of them and nobody can eat that many so I end up throwing a lot of them away. I love my peeps the same way. You can send me your surplus stale peeps so you don’t have to go wasting them by throwing them away. I love circus peanuts, Swedish fish, gumdrops (fruity and spicy), brach’s orange slices and spearmint leaves and black licorice. Fried chicken livers with mayo and hot sauce, baked beans with mayo and hot sauce. Fried clams with bellies. Cheese pizza with hot pepper and lots of ground pepper corns from pizza shop. Meatball sub with pickles and hot peppers. Cold lasagna and cold eggplant parm, fried leftover spaghetti. Pancakes or corn muffins drizzled with grandma molasses. l’m sure there is more.
