I use both. Gray for dull dismal days and grey for my hair!

I'm in Pennsylvania and honestly I use the two pretty interchangeably. I'm not sure I'm right in doing that, but it's what I do, LOL

Gray, Canada. Though when dealing with Americans, I'll often use grey and drop 'u's from words like colour.

The mnemonic device is supposedly E for England and A for America, but I am sure I use both.

I spell it with an "E." I'm from the USA. Both are correct, but I think I spell it the British way.

I spell it A-Y... and I'm from the US. I've always spelled it that way.

I always use grey and am from Australia where Queen’s English is the standard spelling although there are the occasional American English spellings that sneak through (like jail rather than gaol).

I don't like grey with an a. The only time I use the a form is if it's a name (like Basic Gray from Stampin' Up) already spelled that way. I actually don't like the 'you are my sunshine when skies are grey' products when they use an a instead...I've passed on plenty of cute things that I might have picked up with that saying if they spelled grey right.
I think using an 'e' is actually uncommon in the good ol' USA, but I prefer it that way.

I voted for gray as that's how I learned to spell it in K. I'm from and still live in the midwest, USA. I don't care either way - I'll use a grey or a gray.

I spell it gray. To my American eye “grey” from an American is trying too hard. I expect it from non-American English speakers as I believe it’s the accepted British English spelling.

Ok, this is going to sound stupid, but... I used to always spell it "gray" but since Grey's Anatomy came out, I've been spelling it "grey". I know the color has nothing to do with the show, but I like it better visually.

With an e, from NZ but living in the US. I might change use the a spelling at times, but the e feels more correct to me.

We learned in school that grey is British and gray is US spelling (in general-not as a rule). Like color/colour. Fifty Shades of Grey follows that rule.
