It has been a long road and I'm sorry for your divorce, even if it is a relief and what you need in your life, it is never easy to go through that. With that said, it sounds like you have really made a transformation and you are doing what is best for you and that is wonderful.

I just saw a thread where someone said, “I don’t cook.” And I wondered what that means. Surely most people are capable of putting together a meal even if they don’t enjoy it. It isn’t the same as, “I don’t drive” is it? If you frequently say I don’t cook and don’t mind my asking what do you typically eat? I do cook and enjoy it but my sister does not. Now, she will make chili once in a while, but that is about it. She mostly eats cereal, sandwiches, frozen dinners and take out.
If you look in her cupboards, all you will find is canned tuna, peanut butter, bread, crackers, microwave popcorn & cereal.

I have a female friend named Weslie.
I like the name but not crazy about the spelling of Wesliegh only because she will have to spell it out pretty much all the time.

We were sad that Glenda and Lumumba were eliminated but fully expected it. They showed such joy on the mat though and you couldn't help but smile with them. When Derek and Claire opted for the games instead of the walnut cracking, we thought *uh-oh* but they did great! When the twins were saying how similar they were growing up it was amazing! Both 2nd chair in the band, got trouble for kissing their boyfriends in 5th grade, etc. I was sad to see them go too - they are so supportive of each other & kept positive attitudes all the time. The twins amazed me with how much they are alike - the fact that they both eat 2 boiled eggs for breakfast each morning and only eat one yolk & give the other one to their dog - I mean that is so random, yet they both have always done that - so incredible!

I've bought some nice plus sized suits from Woman Within & Catherine's. Just be aware that due to the time of year, selections may not be great. Shipping took a while - about a month.

The actor is expecting his eleventh baby, his second with model Alyssa Scott. He impregnated her while Brittany Bell was carrying his 10th child. Surely she realizes he will get some other woman pregnant when she is carrying this one. FTR, he has 6 baby mamas.

I selected Other - 95% of the time, I wake naturally and on time and don't need an alarm clock but the times that I do use one...I have Alexa set the alarm and wake me.

I stopped using an alarm clock about 3 years ago...I just wake up naturally and on time (fortunately). However, there are a few days when I have an early work function or a medical appointment and I want to be 100% sure so I set the alarm. I don't hit the snooze button. I am a morning person anyway, so I never quite understood why someone would continue to hit snooze

I don't think it is unreasonable for your DD to pay for her own gas. In fact, I think a teen with a car should have this responsibility.

It is a shame that it couldn't have been sold/passed along to one of the kids, especially since it seems to have put up walls in their relationship.
I'm not surprised he had a hard time selling it giving the asking price. It may do well as an Airbnb kind of place.

If I were you, I'd stop using that card and apply for a new one, just in your name...then he will not have access to your fuel points But if it is a card you type the phone number in, and he uses it, he will have access to the points. they system won't see who is accessing the account, only that it is. Ive done this for my parents before - I don't shop at certain grocery stores, but on the off chance, I will type in my mom's cell so she gets the gas points for my purchase. Good point - I don't use the phone number with my fuel points card (I can, but I always use that little one they give you for your key chain), so didn't think of that. She could use a different phone number on the new card.

Do you take the space anyway? And if not, is it because you don't think you should potentially put someone else in that position, or is it because you are worried they'll ding your car. I wouldn't but honestly, I'd be more worried someone would ding my car I often park in further away spaces to try to avoid that.

He should have named somebody else? Ok so he doesn't wish Keanu was dead instead of River or Heath but someone should have died instead. Why not just say all these years later and I'm still missing Rover and Heath, they were great and gone too soon. Even if Keanu wasn't the greatest guy you still wished he was dead. Bizarre. Agree - I am sure what he meant was that he thought River and Heath were amazing actors and Keanu (in his opinion) isn't. He probably should have said "How is it that River and Heath are gone but bad actors are still around" - instead of naming names. I get what he means, but his choice of naming someone specifically wasn't wise. I often say "Why is my brother gone, but this person that is a serial rapist, still walks the earth" I think he is just pondering why life is the way it is sometimes.

Do you say ‘on’ before tomorrow? I know someone who says, “We’re going to the theater on tomorrow.” I just say, “We’re going to the theater tomorrow.” I have a couple of co-workers that do this - I never say "on" tomorrow. My co-worker says "I will get that report to you on today" or "I have a meeting on tomorrow" - I'm like you, I just say "I will get the report to you today" or "I have a meeting tomorrow".

Hmmm...I have never heard (or read a sign) that says "Welcome In". I usually hear VS as "verses" not "verse" - as far as Quinton...I think some people just leave out letters like that that, I don't know why...for instance, I often hear people pronounce "button" as "bu-in" - 2 syllables, but leaving the t's out completely (kind of like you are hearing some pronounce Qui-in"

I came across this recipe recently and love it - I've made it twice in the past couple of weeks
Mexican Red Pepper Soup
1 Tbsp and 1 tsp olive oil 1 lb ground turkey, 97% lean Sea salt & pepper, to taste 1 cup red onion, diced 3 cups red bell pepper, chopped 3 cloves garlic, chopped 2-3 cups chicken or vegetable broth 3 cups fire roasted diced tomatoes 1/2 tsp dried basil 1 tsp cumin 1 tsp chili powder 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes 1 tsp dried oregano
In a large soup pot, add 1 tsp oil and ground turkey. Season with salt and pepper. Brown over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Add remaining oil, onions, bell peppers and garlic. Cook until vegetables have softened, stirring occasionally. Add broth, diced tomatoes, basil, cumin, chili powder, red pepper flakes, oregano, salt and pepper. Mix well. Cover and simmer on low, stirring occasionally. Cook for about 2 hours, or until flavors marry.
Separate into 4 equal servings.
Note: It makes 4 generous servings - I actually get 6 regular servings out of the recipe.
