Welcome to August! We have lots of new faces again this month, and I hope we all have a ton of fun and get lots of projects made! Now for the teams: Team ALisaDV *team leader mslizjustlisa7myboysnmeJaneBnylenejoyfulnanagrammadeecrystalbchristinec68dasmith2momDawnMcDscrapmommy3grammathraciankitbopTeam B kiwigirl *team leader lostwithout2peaswoodysbetty2houndsChinagirl828patinKelleeMdudleypippenLindamichellewedertzKikiPeastinkerbelleMDscrapaholicsleepingbootycraftykittencristelinaRules: This is a low-pressure challenge designed to get you using your stash and have fun in the process! Each player will keep track of their own points! Whether you keep it on a piece of paper or make a post and edit each time is up to you. Team leaders will tally up the points at the end of the month so we can declare a winner. Participation in challenges is not required. Any member who wants to issue a challenge (need not be repeated monthly) is encouraged to do so! Points will be awarded for both doing a challenge and starting one. Points:- 1 point per page/project, any size, including cards and pocket scrapbooking
- Post your creation for us to ooh and aah over=1pt
And keep an eye out for bonus points here and there! You can combine challenges to get more points per page. For example, say I do a 1-pg LO (1pt) and I combine the stash challenge (1pt) with the sketch/scraplift challenge (1pt), and then post it in the gallery or thread (1pt), that will earn me 4 points. Any questions, please ask away! We have lots of veteran players and therefore lots of people who can answer questions

I tried the Wild Hare Kit . This is a different kit club because you don't have to subscribe. You can pick a mini kit or their full sized kit. And you can order as often as you want. I got a mini kit about a year ago. I really loved what was included. But shipping was ridiculously expensive, especially since I live 15 minutes away. i posted above about the secret not secret kit club but can't believe i forgot this one, especially since i ordered, received, and used it in july! good grief! i neither hated nor loved my kit and i made 5 pages with it (the larger sized one, i think they call it deluxe?) which i thought wasn't a lot since i scrap 8.5x11 and therefore have scraps even if i use a pattern for a background. i did receive quite a few embellishments and i thought it was not a bad value. not sure if i'll order another one though.

i think some of them would look nice as a border (either full border around the page with cardstock or pp on top, or just a 3-4" strip on one side). the christmas ornaments, for instance. but yeah, no.
and i bet these are the types many beginner scrappers might go for.
no hate, i just have a hard time with them!

i don't have any issues (so far), so can't add anything, but wanted to say big hugs to you! it's hard enough carving out scrapping time without throwing pain into the mix. i hope you find a solution that works well for you

KelleeM your redsox LO is awesome! I love the atmosphere shots and the tickets, and of course all the cute little themed bits! Your star of wonder page is so pretty I love the scattered stars! Your mini album is just so sweet; she is really a cutie pie and I’m sure she’ll love looking at the photos of herself. and the Christmas page I think it’s one of my favorites that you’ve posted. Love love the daisy d’s and huge title! kitbop your notre dame page is gorgeous! I really love all the different strips you used, the multi-font title and cute little cloud clip! Your battle of longwoods series is wonderful too; really love that canon blast shot! The design with all the rounded corners is so fun and I love the bright colors! Your repeating lines of nuvos on the pocket pages and page 4 look amazing-I would be sure to muck that right up! A very fun, cheerful series joyfulnana your birthday page is so perfect for a 2YO party; very bright and fun and energetic! And that washi page…LOVE! Simple but so striking! gramma that little lizard is adorable! I love how you added eyes to the title. your forever & always page is just beautiful everything is so perfect-the color scheme, the gold, the photo arrangement-I love it! Chinagirl828 your lovely gardens page is just that—so lovely! everything from the colors to the floral elements to the scallops is just perfect! woodysbetty love that journaling page!! myboysnme you finished out the month with some great pages! msliz I really love the map pages; such a great way to include them and still see them; great use of the clips! Your tree of life page is lovely…oh the doilies and that elephant paper is too perfect! grammadee those cards are so so fun!! cristelina so glad you’re posting!! Your Vatican city page is just stunning with that calm grid atop the sort of chaotic colorful background. love it! I love the mix of instax prints with the square photos on the gelatos page and they certainly look yummy! The flower girl page is oh so sweet I really love the line of flowers cascading down the page! Love the color scheme for the Mallorca page; the clusters are fabulous and the little bullfighter dude is too stinkin cute! Go somewhere new is very shimelle-esque; are you taking her layering class? It’s a lovely page I really like how you used the wording on the paper as your title and all the color atop the sort of grungy background. your red/white/yellow bon voyage page is fantastic too; never ever would have thought that color scheme would look like anything but condiments but it really works on your page! I really love the menu page; that paper is awesome and I love how you used it! And your foodie page, wow! You can claim another point for the ketchup challenge (june foodie challenge) I love all the varied sizes of photos and fun colors! I hope you join us in august

i agree. i can use realistic cloud paper no problem, possibly even pine branches or pool water, something simple like that. but i'm sure we all remember the macaroni and cheese papers from days past. hells no on those types!
as for giant quotes and such, i scrap 8.5x11 so i definitely can't use those. which is fine, because i wouldn't know what to do with them anyway!

I’m in! I keep my goals low...10 for me! ETA: I just checked and I’ve done 27 pages in July so far...I’ll up my goal to 20 as I assume you use goals to try to keep teams even (right?). actually the teams are chosen entirely at random. i vary the method each month, but random it is. the goal thing is something grammadee added in when she subbed for me at the beginning of june. if you want to make a goal, awesome! but there's no need for it
