Hi Reading Pea Refugees!
My book club title this month is Loving Frank by Nancy Horan. It's a fictionalized account of a woman who carried on an affair with Frank Lloyd Wright around 1909. So far, I'm really enjoying it. I thought it would deal heavily with FLW and architecture, but it's more of a commentary on the social consequences of a woman of some fame choosing her lover over her family in the early 20th century.
I'm also reading Jasper Jones by Craig Silvey. It's a YA title and set in Australia in the late 60s. It has a To Kill A Mockingbird flavor to it.
I'm listening to Room by Emma Donoghue. Yeah, I'm late to the party on this one. So far, so good.
Happy reading!

Hi P-Refugees Who Read!
This week I'm reading Lydia Netzer's newest title How to Tell Toledo from the Night Sky. It's weird and strange and nerdy and I'm enjoying it. I would call it quirky midwest fiction.
Happy Reading!

Hi Refugee Peas Who Read!
I read Love and Treasure by Ayelet Wardman. It's about a piece of jewelry discovered just after WWII, and the story of the people who owned it. It was ggo.
Right now I'm reading Brainiacs by Ken Jennings, about people who love trivia. Good so far, but definitely nerdy.
I'm also reading Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews - it's a YA title, and it's cute and funny and quick to read.
Happy Reading!

If you plan to be able to take the bench cover off and wash it when it gets soiled or dirty, then I would pre-wash the fabric, to take care of any shrinkage.
If you're going to use the fabric to upholster the bench, and you'll never take it off to wash, and if it gets dirty you'll either spot clean or replace the whole thing, I wouldn't pre-wash.
I'd love to see pictures when you're done!

Two for me this week
Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King. This was more of a classic thriller than his other works. I enjoyed it.
Attachments by Rainbow Rowell. Lovable loser finds true love. This was a cute read.
I just picked up Ayelet Waldman's Love and Treasure. WWII fiction. So far so good.
Happy reading refugees!

Hi Refugee Peas Who Read (and adore Batya!)
I finished the newest Stephen King book, Mr. Mercedes. It was a great read! More of a classic thriller than his other books.
Next, I picked up Rainbow Rowell's latest adult novel, The Attachments. I'm about halfway through and I'm enjoying it. I love Rowell's kooky characters and lovable losers.
Happy Reading!
