We did not 'choose' it, but we love our names. I am Grammy and dh is Papa. And I think it will be that way with both sets of grandkids.
Growing up we had our kids call my mom Grandma Texas (my mom is Ayako, and it was not an easy name for kids) and dh's was Grandma Carita. And my bff's mom was Grandma Mary.

Actually, you are wrong. This happened to my brother in law, who is Anglo and has the name of Gordon. Over 30 years ago, he created a 'bomb' as an art project...it looked pretty good apparently. Then a jokester decided to put it in the teacher lounge. My in laws tell me that they did not even know their son was being arrested until they saw it on the news.

When my kids lived in Fort Worth, these were my 'must stops'... Whataburger, Braums, near Fort Worth is Babe's link get the chicken fried steak. Also downtown fort worth has Yucatan Taco Stand link best nachos ever! and Boo-Ray's for Cajun link try the gator and for me Etoufee (though son in law was always crawfish) I always liked Pappasitos for steak fajitas. and Cracker Barrel for chicken and dumplings. Try kolaches, you will see kolache stores...kinda like you see donut stores. and of course Blue Bell Ice cream...Braums does serve it. siiiiiiigh, wish I was going.

I store by type then collections. I have separate shelves for my flowers, ribbon, buttons, stickles, markers, brads/eyelets but keep them packaged by collections. It works for me, so that the coordinating is done. If they are not in their original packaging on the shelves, they are in small baskets I picked up at the .99 store.
Random ribbon is kept by color in mason jars.
Bling is kept in baskets and in old Stampin Up tins...the one with a latch they were selling a few years ago.
I do like my main button keeper, bought a spice shelf and bottles from World Market, of course did not break up collections...random buttons are kept by color in old jars.
Stickers are in colorful magazine holders, in report dividers by type. Have travel, boys, girls, sports all together. Had in it in 'homemade' clip it up using a paper towel holder...but took up too much 'real estate' and this works better for me. Except a small basket I keep in my cart of the fun ones I like to have on hand. My thickers are also in magazine holders. And the Prima Say it with Bling sheets.
I always liked my sister's organization, she has most supples in Iris cases by theme, as she buys paper or embellies for future use, it goes into the correct Iris case. If she is doing a school page, she just pulls that case. So I modified hers a bit by having a few Iris cases with projects. And if I buy something for a particular project it goes into the correct case.
The only thing I keep by theme is Christmas, I have a single area dedicated to all things Christmas.
It might be fun if we had a how do you organize your __________, thread and we post or link a pic of that organization for inspiration.
My 'struggle' right now is die cuts and project life cards. Again, because I like collections together...so I don't want to break them up.

I thought the judging was upside down...though the right person went home...it became between "bad and boring"..though I like the polka dots bra. I think they were right, Blake wants to design for women, he needs to understand female anatomy and what is flattering and what we ultimately want to wear and buy. Even his 'winning' look was awful, who wants to have a balloony amount of material come off our hips and up our butt!
But I thought Ashley or Kelly should have won...was Kelly the leopard/hooded cover? LOVED that. Would buy it tomorrow.

had to go to the kids' house to watch, we don't have Netflix...and had to pace myself to watch only one episode..
OMG, not the ending to the cliff hanger I was hoping for. But still LOVE the show.

We are at @3k feet, but also empty nest so downsizing could be very good. A lot of space for a 50+ woman with a bad back and knees to maintain. But I do love that the in law suite is now my mega scraproom. One bedroom is being turned into an exercise room... so with all that space we actually only have one guest room.
A dream home... I would love an older Victorian...if I could find one without stairs...or have it set up so that my living is downstairs, and guest spaces upstairs. For this I would need a family sized kitchen, space for scrapping and for my cats! I would be quite content. If I have to bring DH, space for his office would be nice too.
I wouldn't mind city living, but dh is against it...he wants space, dogs, horse, no neighbors.

The article says they were fleeing police, MAYBE she thought she was 'helping' the police??
Not saying that makes it right.

counter or pub style in both formal and breakfast nook.
I love it in the formal, the square shape fits the room better than an oblong. It is large and seats 8...though we have been able to squeeze up to 10 and 11 comfortably.
I would prefer standard in the breakfast nook. (dh picked up the set from a coworker) I know my mil does not like the taller chairs, she is 70+ and has some back problems...and my 6 year old granddaughter did fall out of the tall chair (once)...while reaching to help her baby sister. So, when she comes over by herself, we now use the tv trays and the couch for our meals.
So, if you have varying ages, you may need to consider whether the tall chairs work for them.

It was my fil's 70th birthday celebration at our house...dh invited a ton of people, DD and I were in the kitchen all d*mned day, cooking and baking (the boys were manning the bbq). In walks one of fil's friends...dd tried to make conversation with him, but he treated her like she was just 'the help"..of course going on about my son the former Marine.
As she looked at me, Miranda Lambert's "Moma's Broken Heart" was on...with the lines "hide your crazy and start acting like a lady..."
It was perfect and we love that song to this day.

so, getting there with finishing the dgds' 2014 books and dgs' first year book. In time for the birth of dgs #2 in November. (I hope)

quite a few in my circle of scrappers use a lot of Kiwi Lane for our pages. Kiwi LaneI use them occasionally but one of the gals does all her pages with them. But the process is what you described, using the templates to see your layout before cutting.

Did any of you feel like the other designers 'set up' David? I know it is a competition but while they were praising his dress, even I was saying you are not doing the challenge.
The dress that won was gorgeous, but the skirt was not made of cards or envelopes. Yes, he (can't think of the name) used paper...but to me that did not fit the challenge.
The gal who left, that skirt WAS hideous.

ink drops? Love, but am not very good at it stitching on pages? Love the look, but don't want to bother with pulling out a machine puffy stickers? Love titles made from more than one font? Love the look, but rarely do titles editing photos? a 'techno idiot' so not something I do. digi scrapping? Again, a 'techno idiot' so not able to do it, got lost with the 'layers' concept when I tried hybrid scrapping? Like the look scrapbooking podcasts? nope, scrapbooking haul videos? Rarely watch, but did love the recent one of the husband opening his wife's JoAnn's haul scrapbooking process videos? Yes, but try to stick to the ones that are only @10 min snacking while you're scrapping? an essential

fastenator and the paper cutter by that same company, awful.
I think it was on HSN or QVC bought these items and it came with a cute storage bag. Loved the bag, hated the tools.

I moved into a bigger space earlier this year. Tried to keep my organizing pretty much along the lines of what I had previously so I would not confuse myself...too much.
But right now I am finding myself overwhelmed by my kits. I really like to keep kits together, I like that they are coordinated for me. I have 3 'buckets totes' filled with kits. And recently tried to sort by 'girly' 'theme' and 'neutral'. But do not feel this was sufficient.
also, my paper pad storage is 'bugging' me right now. They are put away, but I don't feel I know where to go and what I have very well.
will be looking at this thread often for ideas...pics would be nice, too (hint, hint)

Driving or being the passenger of a car on a windy mountainous road, and/ or a narrow bridge. I think it has something to do with a Twilight Zone episode I saw as a child.

I have been very happy with my Cutterpillar Pro. But it does take some 'real estate' and is not very portable.
For crops I had a very old Fiskars, and just switched to the Teresa Collins one...and it was great. (so far). My old one was all blue and it got hard to see the measurements. but it is set aside as a backup, because it is still good.
Had no luck with the Fiskars' wire, my wire started to fray...and it was awful.

would a mood board be something like Meg Ryan did in the movie 'The Women'?
If so, I think it is really cool...I kind of did the same thing when we built our home, took pics of the rooms I liked and put them in a notebook. When it was time to pick out materials, looked to see what style and look was common. (for me the common was the color green and a cozy look as opposed to clean/modern)
Would actually like to see how others are using them.
