I just went this past weekend in Santa Clara.
We have a small group that goes to every year.
for us, it has been better to reserve tables Friday and Saturday, we don't reserve on Thursday. By reserving a table, you can leave your things set up overnight. We have not had any problems with theft, but some tables will bring an extra tablecloth to throw over their items for overnight. If you do not reserve a table..then you have to move your things next to a wall overnight, or take them with you.
At least at Santa Clara, electicity at your table is expensive. If you need your cutters and stuff...good to split cost with table mates. Do not think you can just find an outlet, guess the venues have all kinds of regulations for that.
They do have a tool center, but if you plan to use cricut bring your own matt. If you want to 'borrow' a cart, you will need to give them your driver's license...all other tools, embossing, punches, and even a rack of kiwi lane stencils need to be used at the tool center. Guess they have had too many things walk off. And if there is a tool you are interested in, but have not yet tried, I have gotten good demos.
Have small bills available, at least on Thurs and Friday, vendors will come in and sell items at discount price. Sometimes Saturday as well, but only one did it this year. These will be cash only. Ooooooh, and Santa Clara also offers massage...this year there was not only a 'chair' but a 'table' also. If yours does,....oh, so worth it. They had it in 10 minute increments.

Another Ott user...have 2 in my craftroom, both 'telescoping' ...one plug in travel size for crops, and my newest a battery operated for crops without electricity. ott lampalso living in CA, we can only get flourescent bulbs, so have the same trouble with dimness in the room. These lights just really bring out the true colors for me.

I do, for a couple of years now... and I love them...I don't have any lss's in the area and for me this is a great way to get current- non Michael's, non Hobby Lobby product.
I do need to get more fully involved in the community, but am happy with the kits and service

I don't, but your layout is lovely...nice old fashioned word...reminds me of a Laura Ashley print. Just might challenge myself to try one out.
I would imagine it would be like decorating in a monochromatic scheme...use of textures and shades

A collection of short stories by Stephen King. I remember the cover had a hand with eyes on it...I still will not sleep with the closet door open!
Cujo is a very close 2nd.

Thinking pictures would be fun in this thread.
We are in the process. We have been in this home for 10 years now. We have a suite area that has been used first by my mom, then my ds and ddil (when they got out of the Marine Corps), then dd and dsil (when he got out of the Marine Corps). All have settled into their own homes now, so suite area is now my mega scraproom. And we are progressing from room to room...re vamping, de wiring computers and tvs.
I am trying to talk dh into a covered porch, I figure if I call it a 'man cave' he would go for it. BUT he isn't sold yet.

I can't help but think perhaps situations like the one in Hayward are the reason why some LEO's react when they meet defiance even when making a 'routine' traffic stop.
That is what it was for Sgt Scott Lunger, a 3:15 am traffic stop.
Years ago my son almost had a gun drawn on him during a routine stop. Luckily his partner was on the other side and banged on the passenger side door when he saw the gun being drawn by the driver. Afterwards, my son asked "why pull out a gun for this". The guy told him he had 2 strikes and did not want a 3rd.
Sorry, like Monicad...I'm getting emotional over here and probably should not have posted

My company did. But I am set up in an area of the home that is used exclusively for company business...except when I 'pea'. It is not a shared space with my home office.

After dd left for college, I saw an ad for a 'scrapbooking' class through the city at the library. She was a CTMH rep, but did not push her products in the class. Later, I found an ad for a local scrapbooking group, and joined. That was fall of 2004, been hooked ever since.

I took a gelato class by Faber-Castell a few years ago, one of the best classes I've ever taken. (Tim Holtz alcohol ink class is still the absolutely best)

I also do both. I go yearly to the Santa Clara Expo where I crop with a group of friends, and then a retreat in November in a cabin. LOVE both of them.
Expo, lots of shopping and love getting together with my 'scrappy' friends, some who have moved out of the area. No worries about underpacking, as we can usually buy what we forget.
The cabin is a good time to relax (the rule at the cabin is no bras, and many of us will stay in our pj's too). But at cabin, esp limited to what I pack, and find I usually work better if I get pages started and do most of my embellishing at home.
Home - do love having access to my materials. But rarely can have a day set aside to spend in my room. Was going to last Sunday after church, but it got 'waylaid'. siiiigh.

Not much scrapping over here, my scraproom was moved to a larger room, (dh wants it all in one space instead of spilling out all over the house and hallways) so have been organizing and shopping. Love it, I now have 'stations' along one wall and a space for my dgd.
Hope to really get into making layouts again at the upcoming Expo in Santa Clara. ordered over 300 pics... need to catch up on grandbaby albums. (had a new grandson in March)
in the meantime, little projects, right now finishing up a 'perpetual calandar' for oldest dgd. Its an 8.5x11 album, I used the Prima paper dolls and dressed them according to season, each one has a 'pet' ...and each month will list family birthdays (when appropriate). Fun little project.

Love that paper smell, kind of like a library and the smell of old books.
for me, I was recently moved to a bigger space, and now we have a work station set up for dgd.

Normally it is all kind of 'eh' for me, Our town allows the safe and sane, however last night, it was 20 month old dgd's first..so I just watched her reactions, and it was wonderful. After each one, she would say 'more, more" in her sing-song way. with a lot of oooooohs and aaaaahs. wish I had my camera.

dd's wedding album.
I have a stack of old heritage pics from my dad's side and just have not touched them. Part of it is I need to make copies first, and one side of the family (his dad's) have not been identified. But lately, I'm not in a 'heritage' page making frame of mind. Does that make sense?

right now, pics to scrap. I have them in my computer, just have not sat down to print or order any in a while. But I am going to Expo next month and need to get that done soon
supplies, I just had a new grandson, and finding that 'right shade' of blue cardstock has been a problem. Need to stock up!
