It's been beautiful today, mid to high 70's. It's been like that for about 3 days which means the fog will roll in tomorrow and it will be chilly for about 3-4 days. I like the fog so it's all good.

I'm so lost. When you say "paste it into your folder" are you talking about a folder that I have created on my computer? Or are you talking about a hosting site? I tried tinypics, and it wants me to upload files. But I don't have files to upload. Can you tell that I don't do much with pictures, lol? ? Mollycoddle - This is how I did it: Make a make a new folder on your computer and call it smiley's or whatever. See Gale W's row of old 2Peas smileys? Right click one, choose save image as and put it in the folder you just made. Repeat for any smilies that you want. Open a photo-hosting account, I'm using my old Shutterfly account. Make a "smileys" folder. Upload all your smileys to your online account. Choose the "direct link" option that starts with http://img. - copy that and put it into the space at the bottom of: Profile>edit profile>settings>your personal smleys You have to click "set changes" in the Smilies box and "save account settings" at the bottom of the page. They should show up when you click the smiley I saved the old 2Peas smilies to my computer, thinking when 2Peas shuts down, I already have them. But I don't know if this logic is correct - Will the images disappear from my computer when Peas shuts down?

I feel like the "clique" feeling would be more exaggerated if new peas had no idea what we were talking about, sort of like an inside-joke that only we know. Having certain old threads archived allows new peas to catch up. I hope that makes sense. I agree. When something from the past is mentioned, it's nice to be able to go back and read about it instead of being in the dark.

I had a student from Haiti. When writing an email, someone called him African-American and his father corrected it. Not all people considered black are African-American. I guess maybe brown might fall into that realm. Not all brown people are Hispanic or even from either American continent. Did he ask you to refer to them as Haitian/American? My daughter just asked me what terminology is used in Europe for European born black people. Do people in England refer to UK-born black people African/English, do people in Italy call Italian-born black people African/Italian or is this primarily an American term? I use the term African American, I don't normally use the word black for African Americans but I had no idea what is PC in Europe! We don't use "brown" but it doesn't offend me. We will use Mexican/American or Mexican National, Salvadoran, Guatamalan or whatever. My husband is Mexican American and so are my kids. They refer to themselves as Mexican. Heck, my (very white skinned) daughter received quite a large Diversity Scholarship for school next year. Her essay was on skin color. She is very light skinned, her sister is very dark. It's actually harder on my light-skinned daughter, people don't assume she's Mexican and she hears all the ugly comments that are usually filtered around my darker girl.

Hi admin. I was wondering if there's a way to make every-other post a different color, so they all don't run together? I think peas was like that and it was easy to seperate the posts. Just wondering...
thank you so much for making us a home! xoxo

I'm not sure if it's possible. I'm on another Proboards and noticed the same thing. One good thing, if you're not aware, is that you can click on "new" next to the thread title, and it will take you to the spot you last left off at. So you don't have to scroll through every post to get to the last one you read for those long threads. OOOOOh, that's cool, I didn't know that.

I can't figure out how to add a link to my pinterest account. ? Kitten - open your pinterest board page and copy the URL from the search bar. When you post here, you can either choose "quick reply" or the "reply" button. Choose just "reply" It will have the the taskbar at the top (where you can choose font size, etc.) Hit the button with the globe, it will have 2 fields - one for your link name and the other to paste your URL into. Be sure you don't repeat the http//: part, it will already be there and your copied link probably will have that too. then post.

This format has 15 posts to a page, I think 2Ps had a different number depending on length of posts but it was at least 4 x as many as this format, like Annabelle said - around 50 sounds right.
To answer your question Lindas, it is easier to not have to keep turning the page. Just when you get into reading you have to go to the next page, it is a MINOR inconvenience but I can see where it will get annoying over time.
We'll have 100 page threads!
